Welcome back to the Hangry Parent Podcast. I know I've been gone for a little bit, but I'm back and I want to just make a promise right now. So from now until the end of the year, at the very least, if not more, we're going to make sure we upload at least one episode a week. Yep, I'm throwing it down now, that way you can call me out if that doesn't happen. So you've heard it. At least once a week You'll hear, even if it's just a snippet from me just of an update. You know something that I feel you guys could truly use. So, yes, that's what I promise to you right now. So a little bit before I go ahead forward, I want to just mention there's been a lot of people wanting to learn how to do podcasts, if you're listening right now. So a little bit before I go ahead forward, I want to just mention there's been a lot of people people wanting to learn how to do podcasts. If you're listening right now, I'm assuming that you're interested in learning how to do a podcast or you just like podcasts in general. So I did want to throw down some information about the upcoming podcasting 101 classes that are starting in September. There are two dates that are coming up again in September, I'll have a link with more information. It'll have dates and everything below that you can click on or tap on. That'll give you the dates and other details about that. It is online, so it doesn't matter where you're listening. As long as you have internet access, you'll be able to listen in and hear some information about that. So again, podcasting 101. If you're interested, description below will have links to that information.
Speaker 0:Speaking of Podcasting 101, the last episode kind of random, just a little bit random, right, so I won't mention her name, uh, but if you know, you know, because, um, she's very distinctive, uh, if you are friends with me or, uh, work with me, you know exactly who it is. Um. So the last episode um, I did a 101 uh with a coworker of mine, uh, and who was interested in doing, you know, some podcast, some podcasting. So, uh, had a quick run through with her and her husband, who did the production side of everything, and I just told her just to go off the riff, just to kind, of, you know, get the butterflies out of her stomach, um, to, you know, just talk about anything. And she happened to want to talk about her lawn of all things, uh, and if you know her and if you know her, this wouldn't be really much of a surprise. So if you haven't listened, it's only you know several seconds long. It was 30 seconds to a minute. Just to you know, break the ice and to you know, show her. You know, how podcasting works.
Speaker 0:The podcasting 101 class will go into that more in like a group setting, how podcasting works. The podcasting 101 class will go into that more in like a group setting. We will talk about how you could get to the point where she got to. It's not going to go too heavily in depth to scare you away, but it is going to give you just enough of a taste to actually, you know you branching off, wanting to, you know, try episode or two on your own. So so, yeah, the class start in September. So if you happen to be listening to this later on, it's past September of 2025. Um, there are future classes that are happening, uh, that we're looking forward to in the spring of next year, 2026, as well. So, um, that link will give you, or get you to you to a similar place talking about podcasting, with some further information on how to contact the school that is holding that class as well.
Speaker 0:So fall is here, so students that are new, maybe returning students back to their schools, college bound students, college studying abroad students you know this is the time, this is the unofficial start of fall. So building new skills like podcasting if you're like a college student or an adult student, you know that kind of fits in. But generally I'm just curious how parents are feeling right now. Or if you're a student, you know how you're feeling, kind of nervous, ready to tackle, you know, everything going on for the fall. Definitely, definitely let me know how you're feeling there.
Speaker 0:I did want to say that my son right now is studying in Japan. So it is something that he has wished and wanted to do for quite a long time, so I'm happy he's able to do it. So right now he's excited. He has done brief stints in Japan for about a month last year, so now he's taking a full dive. So I'm excited for him and definitely proud, you know, of the progress he has made and that he's out there again living his dream. He's learning, he's growing, he's experiencing, and that's you know as much as I can want you know from as a as a parent myself. So, but yeah, so again, just want to kind of wrap everything up.
Speaker 0:This is just a quick episode just to let you guys know hey, I didn't go anywhere, I'm still here, but again, new classes are starting in September. As far as podcasting 101. If you're interested link is in the description below Like, subscribe, share, reach out to a friend. If you know a friend that's interested in podcasting or learning how to podcast, um, you know, definitely share this episode with them, share the link with them. Uh, that's below, um, just so we can fill those seats and, uh, you know, you get to learn more about this craft of podcasting. But until then, thank you for tuning in and since I made that promise, I guess you'll hear from me either way next week. Take care.
