The prolonged conflict in northeastern Nigeria has displaced people from their ancestral homes, leading to a disruption in food production and a loss of livelihood. Humanitarian actors project that more than 8 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance and protection in 2022. In this episode, we examine how the insurgency contributes to socio-economic losses and the acute food insecurity and malnutrition prevalent in the region.
