Radio FreeWrite
A podcast for lovers of stories- reading them, hearing them, and writing them. We provide a new prompt every week, then share the stories we have created from that prompt. We discuss the stories and the art of storytelling while encouraging listeners to create their own stories along with us.

111: Season 4 Premiere:The Inklings – How Critique Groups Make (and Break) Writers
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The whole Cru gathers together for this one to discuss another (comparatively) famous writing group, The Inklings, whose members included C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien. We discussed our own writing habits, the tension between first‑draft chaos and polished revisions, and whether sharing work too early can kill your motivation. Along the way we played a particularly mean-spirited game.
Stories begin at the 20:20 mark and range from sentimental, to witchy, to dialup internet, to a moon of Saturn, to pure poetry.
Also, our friend Amber (Episode #109) over at Tadpole Press is hosting a virtual write-in, with a cool game of bingo and prizes! Check it out.
