In this week's episode, we continue the conversation on ADHD. Many with ADHD learn what they can't do or struggle to do so they stop trying. Many with ADHD feel they have never come near to meeting their intellectual potential. Implementing effective lifestyle changes consistently is much more of a challenge for those with ADHD than those without. This can lead over time to a sense of hopelessness. Treatment of ADHD is the most effectively treated psychiatric condition and also has been shown to reduce fibromyalgia symptoms in those with comorbid ADHD.
Dr. Lenz is an internist, pediatrician, lifestyle medicine physician, and clinical lipidologist with an interest in helping those with fibromyalgia and related problems go beyond just learning to live with to even reversing fibromyalgia. He is also the author of the book, "Conquering Your Fibromyalgia: Real Answers and Real Solutions for Real Pain. " It is also available on audiobook with Dr. Lenz as the narrator.
