On the Samantha Parker Show’s 2026 “Takeover” series, Samantha interviews returning guest Caramie Ann (“The Money Mama”) about women, money confidence, and why income isn’t the real problem mindset and habits are. They discuss how childhood programming shapes money beliefs, the difficulty of holding a new “wealth” identity, and how avoiding finances is often emotional rather than logical. Caramie Ann shares that hyper-fixating on expenses can be less effective than focusing on creating more income, and emphasizes automation (tax savings, gift/Christmas buckets) to reduce stress and build consistency. They explore how even very wealthy people can feel scarcity, why peace and freedom are “inside jobs,” and how confidence comes from knowing you can rebuild after loss. Caramie Ann describes her sessions helping clients gain clarity, ease, and a roadmap, and invites listeners to book a free money session at themoneymama.com.

Hey guys. Welcome back to the Samantha Parker show. I almost said the Samantha Parker takeover because we've been taking it over Jeremy. Oh yeah. We have been taking it over and taking it down and all around town. Literally like blowing up in 2026, literally.

Okay, so Karen Ann, you've been on the podcast a couple times, so we were talking about different topics. Totally different topics. Yes. So today you've rebranded. You already did this stuff, but you've rebranded and it is so good. So welcome everyone. Round of applause. To no one that's in the room. The Money Mama is on the couch today.

Oh, thank you Samantha, for having me again. I'm excited to experience your show and be able to dive into this topic this time. Yeah, so we're doing a special series on the podcast, the Samantha Parker takeover, which is an extension of something we've been doing here in St. George. So we've been on the radio, the Samantha Parker takeover.

I feel like the radio gods are my favorite 'cause every time I get in my car, it's playing the takeover. Yeah, I've actually heard it several times. It's really fun to see and the amount of local people that are jumping in on this board are like on this train. It's pretty cool. Yeah, it's fun. I'm getting a lot of dms now too in my Instagram.

They're like, I just heard you on the radio and it just made my day. Like I love that. That's so cool. Yes, I love that. So it's starting to trickle in everywhere, but the takeover is really cool. Um, if you go to my Instagram, you'll see me talking about ke me, you can hear it on the radio mix 1 0 3 1 here in Southern Utah.

And then we've got the podcast and we're doing our walks together. But basically it's a group of us got together and we're like, how can you have your best year in 2026? And we're doing this big campaign, so. Yeah. Yeah. I'm excited. So this is episode number two. So the last episode we had Dr. Steve, which in real life, that was yesterday.

He was sitting here yesterday and it was a lot of fun to ask him. I asked him so many questions about peptides. Really? Because you know how I've been skeptical Uhhuh about peptides. Yeah. And then I had to admit that I wasn't skeptical anymore and that I'd been taking 'em, you know? Oh yeah. I'm all, if you listen to past episodes, I'm like, I think they're horrible.

Because they kind of freaked me out. But we went through all of that on the podcast. Yeah. You're allowed to change your mind information. I am allowed to change my mind. Yeah. With new information, we learn and we grow, we learn, and we grow and we do better. We do. Okay. So in this episode we're gonna talk about the truth about money, confidence for women.

So this is gonna be a big one. Um. It. The words why your income isn't the problem. Maybe it's your money mindset. A big part of it. Yes. Yeah, it is. I think money mindset is one part of it, and I feel like once you kind of master that, you're like, okay, I feel pretty good having money conversations. I'm not hyperventilating because the total at the gas station was more than I anticipated.

Yep. You know? Yep, yep. Once you get yourself to like a logical place. And I feel like we all have to do it. Maybe not everyone is this like, is everyone this way? I, you know, families that grew up. Having those thoughts and different patterns ingrained in it is di It's just different for a lot of the, if you weren't taught that as you're, when you're a kid, then you're just gonna operate out of whatever operating system you came with.

Yeah. Uh, so I'm sure there's those special people. People, there are those people, and you could say special, but the truth is, is it's just different. They have a whole different set of it. Problems. They deal with that. I'm gonna call him special. Yeah, we'll call him special. That's fine. If you wanna be nice about it.

But I do feel like I have to give, I can give care of me so much shit. I think the other day when we were bantering. After your presentation in the auditorium here, Uhhuh, that one girl was like, what is going on? And I'm like, oh, well we've known each other for years. Like, you know, because we were like kind of bantering back and forth.

I was like, why are you looking at me? And you're like, I can look at you if I wanna look at you. For someone that didn't know us. Yes. If I was just witnessing two people interacting, I'd be like, are you guys okay? Are you good? Um, but I feel like once you get that mindset right and you, you know, there's always gonna be little things that come up, but you get, it's like a muscle.

It is. You know, it's like running. Once you can run a mile, you can run a marathon, allegedly. It allegedly, oh, let me, sorry, I gotta get this 'cause Yep, go ahead. Hello. Hey, um, yeah, I need to put you in speaker and tell her and then they'll just add me. Okay. Perfect. Okay. Sorry. Okay, you okay? You okay? To her onto kayden's checkout list?

Yeah, that'd be perfect. This is my mom, so his grandma. Okay, thanks. Yeah, thank you so much. You're welcome. Okay. Okay. Sam, do you wanna put Greg too? Yeah, that'd be great. Okay. Perfect. Greg? Yep. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. Is that it? Yep. That's it. Good old mom. Did she call me a bunch? Oh, Mike called me, see what he wants.

Okay. Okay. Back on track. I back on track. I knew she was gonna call, so Oh yeah. I'm gonna keep it just in case, but then sometimes I see my messages and it like pulls my train of thought, you know? Mm-hmm. Um, welcome to the world of distraction. World of distraction. Back to money being okay. So we just took a phone call and now we're back.

Kids, kids. But once you kinda lock in that mindset, or you at least know how to course correct yourself, then it's like, well, what do I do with this money? Yeah. And that I think is one of the biggest pieces. It is one of the biggest pieces and it's really interesting 'cause there's, there, there is one other little piece there though that most people struggle with that they don't realize and people just think, oh, mindset have good thoughts.

Just, you know, maybe change the way that we're thinking about money. But most people don't stop and go, what does that actually mean? To think about money differently? And when you. I just for a second here. Yeah, just focus on a, a purple carrot. Think of the, the idea of a purple carrot. Okay. Like a real purple carrot.

Like a real purple carrot. Okay. It's in your mind. Mm-hmm. How long do you think you can hold that mental image within your mind? Oh. Okay. Before you get distracted or, well, just even looking over to the side, I was like, oh, I lost it. Yeah. Like I have to like pretend, focus on it. And so if we have operating program from a childhood that doesn't say wealth, that doesn't say create a lot of money, that doesn't say these things.

We have to learn how to operate and like hold that mental image in a whole different way. And it's just like a muscle, like you said, people think, oh, just change that thought. But how often do they say that thought? And then go back to 99 other thoughts that are counterintuitive to that. And so that's where the hard mental work comes in.

And then comes the physical, like what you were saying, um, where do we actually put these things? What are the habits that actually come into play? But if we can't hold that mental image of this person that you're gonna change into, you're not gonna be successful in the actions. Ooh. Should we put that on a quote graphic?

Let's do it. Um, this is distracting. I'm gonna close this curtain because I can see you right up That guy's crotch. Wait, wait. Keeps like adjusting. What guy? It's fine. Don't worry about it guys. I'm glad it's you because I'm literally like, what is happening? That is awesome. In that office right there. He's fine.

He is minding his own business. I kept being like, what is going on over there? Oh, phone calls and purple carrots. See? And purple carrots. You've got me so distracted, people walking by. I'm like, we gotta lock this in. I lost it. I completely lost it. I do have to say though, the other day we had lunch. We went to spits, we had some chicken.

Mm-hmm. You had some creepy chicken soup. She had this like a placenta coming out. Yeah. You, she had this blob of chicken and it literally was like all stringy attached. It looked like a umbilical cord placenta. It was very weird. It was weird. It kinda gave me the ick. Yeah. I said, should I bring this back to my daughter?

Did she get over there? No. Did you eat the soup? No, I didn't bring it back. I knew she would need it. Oh, good. Well, I brought her fries, fries before, guys. But one of the things I love that you said to me then, or maybe you'd also just done a really cool presentation that day about money, you know, um, but you said, I don't really worry about like expenses a ton.

Like don't focus on all your expenses. Yeah. You know, I think you should pay attention to 'em, but. People get so hyper fixated on, you know, not getting a coffee or being bad at spending. And I actually love that approach. Yeah, I really struggled with keeping budgets. It was something that like actually kept me from looking at my finances is it felt like it was this long strung out process and having to track everything.

And I do track my stuff, but I found a better way of tracking it that doesn't stress me out, and part of that is not hyper fixating on the expenses. I started to notice that every month my expenses were almost the same. It. Give or take a few hundred dollars. And so why waste all this time focusing on all that one?

I could just be focusing on the money I want to go create and the more that I put the focus on the money I wanted to create, the higher the income went up. But the expenses tend to stay the same as long as you have those systems in place for savings. And I think that's a big part of it too, why some people do just spend all their money when they grow, get more income, is 'cause they don't have a place to put it and they don't know what they're doing.

Yeah. And that has been one of my shortcomings in the past. I'm like, okay, we're making more. And obviously when I make more I do have to spend more. Yeah. You know, like there's employee costs and different things. Yeah. You can So moved into a bigger office 'cause I couldn't handle it anymore. You know, you couldn't handle having one person on the floor or two at desks.

Yeah. Sorry Cindy, she's been hanging out on the floor for a little while now. Okay. We work in a giant space, but a lot of times she would sit on the floor in there 'cause that's all the space we had. Don't worry, she does it at my house too. Yeah. The floor is just her. Um, I thought we just haven't literally made her work on the floor, but No, I know.

Yeah. Um, but. I, I have been like that in the past. And so one of my goals lately has been like, what am I saving for? What are my goals? And then I actually, instead of just being like, oh, I'm gonna save for this year, I actually put some numbers down and I sent it to you. You did? That was awesome. Mm-hmm. It looked great.

And then not only that, one thing I love about you is that you have your stuff automated. A lot of people do not automate their stuff. They're like, oh yeah, I'm gonna save it. And then they attempt to. At the time the check goes in, okay, I'm gonna pull this over here. Nobody does it. Hardly anyone I know.

And sometimes I will turn the automation off and then I'm like, shoot, I gotta turn that back on. Yeah. One thing, um, that I did last year that was good is I knew that I needed to come up with a certain amount for taxes. And then it was funny 'cause then we ended up actually not paying taxes and we got a refund.

Oh, that's awesome. God bless America. Um, but I had automated two 50 every Friday just to go in for taxes. Mm-hmm. Um. But, and you know, I might need more, I might need less. I, I don't feel like we end up paying a ton of taxes, you know? Yeah. If you have a good tax accountant, you shouldn't have to, I know that's, that's why I always say, but I do know the more you make, the more you're gonna pay.

Yeah. It's true. You know, facts or facts, that's true. But right now I just have it automated every Friday and I'm like, that kind of adds up. Just, it's a chunk of money. It adds up pretty fast. And the nice thing is, is if you can get those write offs and bring your tax load down, you just have a nice savings sitting there.

True, true that girl. Yeah. And then also, you know what we did last year. What? Just, this is a personal thing, not a business thing. Well, it's a money thing. Well, we weren't just talking about like. Business money. I don't know why I said that. Yeah. We're talking about money. Money every, everywhere. Money. Money, um, is we set up, every time Jake's check hits, um, so much is pulled into different savings.

Um, we call 'em vaults with the bank we use. Yep. But they, you might hear them called buckets. Yep. But we did a gift one. So every time a deposit was made, you know, from Jacob Parker. It pulled a hundred into gifts. So that was like a few, several times a month, you know? Mm-hmm. And at Christmas I was like, oh, we just have the money for Christmas.

Oh, that's amazing. It was so cool. That is really cool. 'cause most Americans especially go into debt over Christmas and it takes 'em over six months to to pay that back off Right before they go back into the cycle again. Yeah. Because I've always felt so much stress around Christmas. Mm-hmm. And this year I was like, oh, I got the money.

It was fun. That's really fun. And we actually, we made a date night of it. We went and picked up like sushi and like, you know how you can get all the fun like stuff over at Harmon's? Mm-hmm. It's one of those bougie grocery stores that Yep. You kind of shop at, but mostly you go for like the fun stuff. Yep.

Yeah. So we went over there and then we actually came over here to kiln and like we plopped down on one of the couch area out there. 'cause it was. No one was there. It was a Saturday night and we did all of our online shopping and we ate our food and we made like a whole night of it. That's cool. I even had music playing.

It was fun. That's really fun. What a fun way to celebrate and to experience money in a different way. Yeah, because we had it there for that purpose. Yeah. And most people don't take the time to focus on feeling good with money, and that's exactly what you did. You pre-planned, you allowed yourself to make a celebration of the experience.

I think that's money is meant to actually bless our lives and bless the lives of others. So are we allowing it to, or are we adding that stress in? Yeah. It's important. It is. And one thing I like about you too is you're like, one of my big things is experiences. So you save for experiences. Oh yeah. Yeah. I would rather experiences over most things, but that's because what do we have in this life?

At the end of the day, we have our memories, we have our, our relationships. I think it's important to take time for that. And I almost always, whenever I'm dealing with a couple will have one that's like, we're gonna save. And the other one that's like. But I wanna live too. Mm-hmm. And so it's really cool to find the balance between the two because you do, you wanna build up that long-term wealth and go be able to be taken care of, have your money work for you, but also your kids Take my kids to Disneyland, wanna, exactly.

Yeah. I want to go play, I wanna have these memories and it doesn't even have to be way expensive, but it's important to take those. That time. Actually, the last time I was at Disney World was with your kid. That was so funny, funny, funny story. She's like, take your kid. So if you guys listen to the podcast a lot, we mention Cindy, she gets mentioned on a lot of podcasts over there in the corner.

She's killing it. She's holding down the fort. She's our producer, um, editor. She's everything. But Cindy and I went to Florida for an event and Friday night we're like looking out the window and I could see the fireworks for Disney. World Uhhuh and I was like, we gotta go. So that instead of going to the conference Saturday, we went to Disney World.

Yeah. Side note, Cindy's my daughter. Yeah. Oh, did it not look that it, yeah, that was my whole point of the story is Care Me is Cindy's mom. Damn. I got excited. It was fun. I almost flew out to go with you guys if it wasn't gonna be such a pain in the ass. It did suck the next day coming home. 'cause we didn't go to bed.

Till what? Like one in the morning. And then I think we got up at three to catch our flight. Choices were made. Choices were made, had fun. At least we weren't out being drunk or something. I don't know. There's so many worse things we could have done than go to Disney World. I thought that was amazing. I was so close to booking the flight and coming with you.

It was so much fun. But okay. So that's something that I do. I've got a lot of work, work still to do. I feel like, you know. Yeah, I, I feel like we all do, and it's interesting 'cause going back to wealthy people, I've spent a lot of my life studying and being around very, very wealthy people. And I love to look behind the curtain of their mind and go, what is it like, how is it that you think, how is it that you act?

Oh, you talk to this person this way? That's interesting. And it's really interesting to see, first of all how human they're, it's not like this, oh, they're so mystical and magical 'cause they've created this thing. No. They actually just understand some key foundational. Thing steps with money that they just do consistently.

That's really the only difference. But they still have all the sa, they have all these insecurities still. They still have all these relationship problems, all these different parts of their life they're trying to figure out too. And so it's really ama cool to like. Kind of normalize the fact that we're all just human here.

We're all learning and we all have another layer of growth. And I've met very, very wealthy people who multi, multi multimillionaires that are still stressed and scared about not having enough money. Yeah. It's, it's a real thing. It is. It really is. And sometimes a lot of it is like just having faith that's all gonna work out.

Yeah. I read, I read this study once that said that, uh, they asked a bunch of people who had different levels of money, like, how much money do you think you need to feel comfortable, feel like you're taken care of? And across the board. It wasn't until people started getting to about 15 million before they're like, if I have, at the end of the day, 'cause they would make more money and then they'd be like, Hey, do you feel like you've got more?

Yeah, no. 15 million was like the marker of where most people would be like, oh yeah, I'm taking care of. Up until that point, people still had levels that they kept hitting of like, I don't feel like I have enough. Well, do you think too, you're like, okay, I made. 15 million, so then you go buy a million dollar home or you know, yeah.

They, I'm sure it's a home. I'm sure it's also like, okay, now, now it stretches out. Now who, like my kids or these other people in my life wanting to make sure they're taken care of, wanting, make sure that I don't have enough money or have enough money, it's not gonna run out, or, and, and it continues to ripple.

It's, it's that, that's why it's such an inner job with your energy to go, how can money, how. Money isn't necessarily the key to being pe, creating the peace. You have to learn how to create that inner peace first so that no matter how much money you have, you can know that you're okay. Ooh, ooh. We'll put that on a quote graphic.

You gotta create the inner piece first. Yes, you do. There's, I've had lots of money and I've had very, very little money, and that piece was there at different times and it was not there at different times. And so at the end of the day, it's not, money is not determined, or peace is not determined on the amount of money that you have.

Yeah. And you know, that can be applied to so many different areas of our life. And I think it's something I've been working on a lot lately mm-hmm. Where I'm like, yeah, this thing's happening. And people are like, are you okay? And I'm like, yeah, I'm, I'm having a good day. And it's not surface level. Like I'm not just putting a piece of duct tape over it.

I'm just genuinely like, oh, that doesn't get to tin my life. Yeah. You know? Yeah. And it's like, okay, maybe we don't know what each other's bank account balances are. Mm-hmm. Maybe you've been working your ass off and something shitty happened, so you're walking around with a deficit in your checking account.

Mm-hmm. And you don't know what you're gonna do. Nobody knows. Yeah. We are not thinking you're a horrible person, but you definitely are. Yeah. You know? Yeah. I actually sat down and I was talking with these two individuals that he had just lost multi, like. I, it was something like 50 million. It was a lot of money.

And the look on his face was just like, eh, I'll get it back. And I remember listening to him talk to this other guy, and it was so cool to sit there and witness this experience. 'cause the other guy just kept staring at him like, why don't you care? And he's like, oh, I've done it multiple times. And so there's a level of, one of the things I've noticed about successful people is that.

They get to a place where they're just willing to fail, they're willing to lose it all. 'cause they believe in their own confidence to go create it again. And it doesn't. Like you said, take a hold of 'em and take 'em down. Yeah. Okay. So why do so many high performing women still feel stressed about money?

Why do so many high performing women? That's 'cause they haven't handled their stress. They think it's about money. It's never about what we think it's about. So what's the underlying stress that's actually taking over? Is it, I don't feel like I'm enough. I'm not doing enough. I'm not good enough. It's usually related to some sort of wealth or worth issue that they have going on.

Yeah, it really is. Yeah. Because there's been times where I'm like, oh, I don't feel like we're at the cash flow that we want to be at. Or maybe things we're feeling tight, whatever words you guys wanna use. I was feeling broke as fuck. And I would go to Jake and I'd be like, I've ruined our lives. And he's like, what are you talking about?

You know? He's like, isn't that a joint checking account? And then he's like, that man has talked me off the cliff so many times. You guys, I know he doesn't say a lot when you see him, but he, he's such a good guy. Yeah, he has talked me off the cliff so many times. Where he is, like, what? And I'm like, I've ruined our lives.

He's like, what? Oh, that's so, he's like, I love that this is a you problem, you know, Uhhuh. And how much are you taking on the responsibility of that too? Like mentally where it's actually not, why? Why am I always carrying that? Why are you carrying that? Yeah, and we, as women, we tend to carry so much that we is way beyond our responsibility.

And I think it's important to give that back, give it back to who it belongs to. Give that back, give it up to God. Who do I get to? How do I get to trust in life again that I could be taken care of and that I. We'll have what I need. I mean, you've made it this far. Has everything worked out for you? Yeah.

Uhhuh. So do you have pretty good odds and it will continue working out for you? My odds are pretty good. Yeah. Pretty good, huh? They're pretty good. I mean, I could die walking outta this room, but we don't know. But you know, maybe that's just meant to. It's meant to be. It was meant to be. So. Okay, next question.

Because you're the money mama. So we're fo solely focusing on the ladies right now. Okay. Why do women undercharge overspend or avoid looking at their numbers? Oh, that's like the most common thing that women do is, and I've had so many women come to me and they're like, I just don't want to look. Even people who've done been successfully, there'll be moments where they're like, I just haven't looked for a while.

And actually, I was talking to a woman yesterday, I get like that avoidant, like, yeah, she's like. You know, ever since my mom died, I just, I don't even wanna look at my bank account. She goes, it doesn't even make sense. My mom had nothing to do with my money. It's just, I don't wanna look there. And I think because we're such emotional beings and we feel so much that goes on internally to have anything that could make us.

Feel less worthy, feel down, feel stressed, feel overwhelmed. Anything that's added extra oftentimes will feel like the thing we wanna push away. The thing we don't wanna take care of. It's kind of like if you have any issues with looking at your body, the last thing you wanna do is like, go look in the gym or look in the mirror and like start focusing on all the things you need to fix.

Well, when you guys, when you got here, I was. Just finishing up a call. 'cause I called, I've been kind of consulting with a plastic surgeon to decide if I wanna get my stomach done or not. Yeah. So I have like severe skin. Mm-hmm. Hanging and it's gonna be like a pretty extensive surgery where they're like, we're gonna have to pull it up your back and stuff.

And I was like, fascinating. But I have to tell you, sending in those photos that I had to send. Mm-hmm. It threw me through a loop because I didn't wanna look at that. Wow. See? Yeah. But it's just like money. Yeah, it is. It's that thing of like, that reminder of that we're not where we want to be. Yeah. And how often do we look at our accounts, even if we've done really, really well and go, it's just not quite where we want it to or not.

Or what's cool. Well, not cool, but interesting is when we get a lot of money in our account, the new fear comes up. I don't know where to put it now. People don't wanna look when they have a ton of money 'cause they're afraid of making the wrong choice and losing it. What, and so it's really fascinating how we have to get out of our own way and stop putting so much emotional.

Stuff to money and look at it as just a thing. Yeah, it's just money. Yeah. So do you work, I know how you work with people, but I just want you to explain it, but like let's say I'm like Care me. I want you to like hold my hand. I want you to be like, my business finance is there places we can make more money.

You know, can you help me work through these things? Do you do that? Yeah. I sit down with pe, with sit down with you personally, and we just go through your accounts. I ask you the questions. I'll, I just, depending on how deep you want to go, I'll dive in. I'll help you sort that all out. I want you to walk out completely confident and clear on where your numbers are, but.

More importantly, having peace and ease around it and understanding that one, it's not so scary. And then when you understand a roadmap of where you're headed and where you wanna be and can stop looking at what you have is not enough, and it's actually perfect for the journey you're on. You can automate things and put it in a simple format for you to actually take those steps forward.

I really feel like just like going to the gym and working out and training, how much easier is it when we have somebody that we get to go to the gym with, or maybe a trainer, somebody. Gonna support us in taking those next steps. Yeah. This night and day difference of actually doing it. That's true. I know a lot of people need a trainer to like hold them accountable to go to the gym and different things like that, you know?

Yeah. And sometimes it can be a friend, sometimes it can be just somebody that's gonna help you go, Hey, this isn't so bad, and why don't we do this journey together. Yeah. This was another great piece of advice that Jake gave me around money once. Um, I was really like, again, doing that beat up thing about like getting my lattes.

I love going, you know. You know how much I love going for lattes. I like finding oh plus. It's been so fun here lately. We have all these new coffee places. I know. I just got so excited up. So many people are like, have you been to this or this one? And I'm like, where did that come from? Because before we had nothing.

Mm-hmm. Anyways, I like grabbing a latte. I like going to judge bros on my way home from a long run. I like it. I enjoy it. But I was like, oh, I should cut that. And Jake was like, you truly enjoy. Getting a latte. Mm-hmm. Why do you care? I was like, oh, yep. Thank you, sir. It's always nice having a good man in your corner.

Uh, even just yesterday, I was stressing over all the expenses. We have a new house that we're building and all the expenses that we're piling up and yeah. How were you handling your money mindset around that? Because building a house, a brand new house, a. He's probably bringing up some shit. Well, and it's interesting 'cause it's like this isn't our, this isn't my dream house this's just the next stepping point, because we're gonna be doing a lot of travel between Hawaii Park City and here, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I'm just kidding. Blah blah. I'm so excited for you. You'll take me with you, right? Yes, I will. Okay. Okay. Now I'm back on board. Yes, you're on board, duh. Um, and watching all these little things, it's like, oh, just couple thousand here, couple thou, like new appliances and all these things that you don't think about when.

Buying a new house, by the way. I'm like, wow, there are so many little things, but it was, what about your yard? Do you have to pay for that? Uh, yeah. The backyard, not the front. So we're gonna be, but we wanna make it fun, so we gotta do something. Maybe one, those people that just have a dirt yard for a while.

No, I don't want a dirt yard. I have someone come and look at concrete in the gas lines this week. See, get concrete gas lines. Yeah. There's whole like the things that you just don't think about. Mm-hmm. I'm like, oh yeah, we do this, this, and this. And it was interesting. And I was like, oh my gosh, I'm feeling anxious over all these added expenses that I wasn't even thinking about before.

And he's, my husband's just like. So go create more money. That's what I'm doing. What are you doing? I was like, snap. Got it. He's like, what's the point of sitting there focusing on all the things that we can't control and all the expenses that we knew we were gonna have to jump into? Or if we don't know, he's like, that's why I'm always telling you it's way more than you think, and all we gotta do is focus on creating more.

And it always seems to work out. So when you have that level of confidence, he's such a good reminder for me with that of like, be the creator, understand your role in it all and have fun with it. Ooh, I like that. Okay, so another take you have on money is that it's really freedom. Um, so why is money actually about freedom and peace, not just income?

Um, I would actually say that the freedom of peace is what helps create, like, I mean, you'll sit there and say, well, I want, I want more money because I wanna be able to make more choices and I wanna be able to have freedom there. There is a little bit of that backwards though, just like I was saying with the peace earlier, freedom is an inside job and you could be.

Living on the streets and you're pretty free, but you're pretty broke. Maybe it's a personal life choice. What are, could be a personal life choice. What are the woke people saying now? Homelessness is a, I don't know, they're without houses. It's like a personal life choice. Oh, that's interesting. I haven't to be homeless.

Heard that one. You haven't, like it's a California thing. That sounds about right. Yeah. So, uh. But what's really neat about creating, I believe that we're creators that are meant to be making money. And when we ma, the more money we make, the more we're able to be out there doing what we actually feel like we're meant to do here in this world.

Even if that's just raising a family, even if that's, uh, you know, experiencing different parts of life or if it's, you have a huge calling to go out and serve other people. Like I really believe we all have a different thermostat of where we're supposed to be headed. And if we don't allow ourselves to make the money we're meant to make, we're not actually.

Fully embodying the creators that we are. Ooh. And that freedom comes in that. Yes. Well, one thing that I loved is my grandma, you know, owned a business, but she didn't start till she was older than me. You know, looking back. That's cool. Yeah. Um, but she employed like so many women. Wow. And you know, after she passed away, what was the business she did?

Um, she owned a floral shop. Oh, that's cool. Yeah. And Delta, Utah. That's so fun. Yeah, she did really well. Um, 'cause she was the only one and you know, yeah. Yeah. Plus she just did a great job too. You're a little old granny, but, um, at her funeral, so many women were like, you know, she gave me a job and she gave me a place and she saved me.

And I, these stories were crazy, you know? So it wasn't that she donated all this money and had like a plaque on a college, you know? Yeah. It was that she'd literally given other women. Like stability. Yeah, it's true. When you act, when you take something, I and women always tend to make things better. Like there's this part of us that we make things more, we take a home and or a house and we make it a home.

Yeah. That type of concept. And so it's really cool. 'cause I imagine your grandma doing that and really bringing people in and her energy and her love, just to be able to provide that is huge. Yeah. So those are D different things that you can do with money. You know? Mm-hmm. Because I've been thinking a lot.

I'm like, okay, what do I wanna do with this? Like extra income, you know, besides get a car and a tummy tuck, which sounds kind of mean, which is awesome. But I go so far, but I, what do I really wanna do? You know? Like, how can I help? And that's one big thing that keeps coming is like, you'll help people through jobs and different things like that.

You will, like, I just look at what you've already done for Cindy with her working with you has been, oh no, what has Cindy done for me? That's where we reverse it. But it has literally has changed my life too. Yeah. Well, you've changed hers. The level of confidence and joy that she's found in being a creator in work is, it's been amazing to watch from the sidelines.

That's awesome. So you've been an amazing example for her too. I mean, she's not like most 20 year olds, but I think that you. Seeing that in her have been a, a trusted person that she can confide in and be able to Yeah. Yeah. Well even this is the best. The one day she's like, well what do I do with the cameras?

And I was like, you can take all the cameras 'cause it's like thousands of dollars. You know, I'm all, but they cannot, but you can take, it was funny. I was like, so you are now in charge. It was just funny, I don't even know who I was referencing, but I was like, you a hundred percent. And well, you take them wherever you wanna go.

Oh, that's funny. It was just funny. Yeah, because there's some people you don't want like running around with like, you know. Yeah. Some people were just not taught. I don't know if you call that maturity or responsibility. We're grow. We're all growing up. We're all growing up. Yeah. We're all learning. We are, we are.

We really are. Um, so what has been kind of like your favorite thing in this Whole Money Mama journey? I think my, the favorite, one of my favorite pieces, it's kind of comical, but. It's like when you sit down and I'm talking with a woman and she just, her whole body just, and she's like, oh, that wasn't so bad.

It reminds me of like how we get so hyped up that it's something's gonna be super scary and then all of a sudden you're friends and you're just relaxed and you're like, oh, I got this. Mm-hmm. And it's this new level of confidence that comes out of this that. Especially when just taking a look and no longer avoiding.

And it's interesting 'cause I have clients that make very little, I have clients that make a lot of money and I see the same behavior showing up in the avoidance, same behavior showing up in the, the stress and the overwhelm of all. And they're just. Like the way that they like have this joy come out like, oh, actually this is what I want.

And a lot of time they won't even open up about what they want at first. They're kind of like, yeah, maybe a little bit of this. Once they see the possibility that this money can actually be fun, it's really funny to watch what women actually want and then they start going off, oh, I would do this trip and then I would go build this thing and I would.

Just the joy that comes from them I think is probably my favorite part. 'cause I love being around that energy. I'm a huge energy person as far as like I want to be around people that are excited about life, looking at the good in life, like actually want to go create something enjoyable. That's why I wanted to join the whole takeover this year.

'cause I'm like, heck yeah, let's do a major glow up in 2026. Let's have fun with this. Do you feel like it's kind of pushed you out of your comfort zone too, to be at a different level of visibility? Not quite yet. And only because in 2022 that was real. That, I mean, I was speaking all over on stages. All over, yeah, your book.

And that was like huge visibility, but I feel like it's coming again, and I'm like excited this time though. I'm not, I'm not scared. And so that's the difference. Back then, I'd never really been pushed on stages before and it was just like, here you go. And there was no scripting, nothing behind. It was just like, figure it out as you go.

Where now it's like, okay, I feel a lot more. I've got some more roots behind me. I've been doing this for a while. I'm excited, but I, that's actually gonna be a goal I'm gonna set this year. I need to experience being scared of the disability coming out this year. I was like, why is it not making you a little uncomfortable?

We gotta push you further. It has to. I think we gotta push me further. Gotta push you further. I mean, I used to be terrified to speak on stages. I just did that event the other day and there wasn't an ounce of me that felt afraid. And I was like, this is interesting. Yeah, doing those events, crowds make me nervous.

I'm just like, yeah, here I am. You know? So. I think that it's gonna be fun to play with. What's gonna really push me outta my comfort zone? It be like a stadium. Stadium. That could be cool. That would be a little nerve wracking. Yeah, you get a little stress sweaty, I feel like. Oh yeah, I'm sure. Wouldn't you?

Yeah. Or would you be like, well, the most I've ever spoke in front of is 2000 and that was it. That was exciting. But they were all. 20, 25-year-old. So maybe that was why it didn't y'all listen. Homies listen up. I know Eminem.

Okay. We're gonna find something that pushes, care me out of our comfort zone for growth. Let's do it. Yeah. You know, we both just joined a new gym built. Mm-hmm. And I have to, that makes me uncomfortable, but I like it. Yeah. Because I'm like, these are big boy weights. Yep. There's bodybuilders in here. Yeah.

They're looking saucy. And I'm like, I'm gonna drop my 40, almost 41-year-old ass right in the middle of it. I love that so much. That's why I love, yeah. Their gym is pretty cool. Yeah, but it, it does make me uncomfortable. And people have been asking me like, do you feel like uncomfortable working out there?

Like, you know, different moms and stuff? And I was like, I sure do. You know, they're like, really? And I'm like, yeah. Yeah. A lot of those people look like they've been working out for, since they were two, Uhhuh, two, literally out of the womb. The womb is something they, they were like lifting purple carrots, crunching.

They came out with no body fat, no chunky babies. Yep. Right outta the womb. Right outta the womb. In purple. Carrots. There we go again. I brought it back. I didn't, didn't forget it. I love it. I love it. Yeah. What I'm trying to think, what would push you, you just did a half marathon with no training. That was really impressive.

It was. It was good. But I did pay some repercussions from not training on that one. So running's hard. Running is hard. And then you did, you did the adverse challenge. Yeah. I think it's gonna be around building this next layer of business. And I think what's really gonna stretch me is, um, as I build my actual team of people coming in, 'cause I feel the flood of people coming in already and I am going to have to expand.

Mm-hmm. I'm not gonna be able to take most of myself. So you're kind where you're at. There's been a la a layer of comfortability and I'm, you know. It's, I feel like it's time, yeah. To take that next layer of like, okay, if I am bringing in this many people now, how do I get to get them to get the support that they need and have these systems in place?

I've been building a lot of systems lately for myself and all the little fine details, so as I bring someone in, I'm like, here you go. There's your role. Yeah. I love that. So, yeah. That's awesome. I think that was gonna be a stretch for sure. Yeah. It'll be so fun to watch you build it though. Okay, so you hang out at, what's your link?

The money. The money mama.com. Yeah, and if you guys head over to my Instagram, you can comment on any of my posts or you can DM me Money Mama and I will automatically send you the link as well. Okay. What else? What's big this year? What's big this year? You know, 2026 is my year. I came to eat.

This is a year for building for me. Everything from being in the gym with you and building up my actual muscles. I went to the gym last night. It was actually pretty great. I was sitting on the couch last night and I was calling and texting all these contractors and movers and everyone else, and I was sitting there with potato chip and.

Janelle happened to reach out and I just sent her a message. I'm sitting on the couch eating potato chips, rethinking my life choices right now, what I got myself into, and I get a phone call from her. She's like, last, last one to the gym is Rotten Egg, 15 minutes and or whatever. And I was like, oh, crap. So I hurry and threw on the gym clothes, ran over there, did a big old leg workout, and ooh, you know.

You both, you Janelle, such amazing friends, and there's so many amazing friends that I'm connected with. It's you want, you want real friends. Have the ones that will get you out the door in five minutes, get the ones that will have you sit down on a podcast couch and talk about all things life. I mean, how many times I've been here and just enjoyed my conversations with you has been phenomenal.

So, yeah. Well, thanks for coming on the podcast again. Yes. Thanks for being part of our takeover series. Yes. And let's see what uncomfortable things she does in 2026 and then you guys. For sure. Go over to the money mama.com. What I love about it is it's nothing like extensive. Yeah. It's not like, you know, you're not gonna be like, oh my gosh, I have to gather, you know?

'cause sometimes I think when we think about money, we think about taxes and that's hard and extensive. Yeah. No, no. This is the fun, chill part of money. This is the fun chill part. Yep. This is the part that will get you actually moving forward. Yeah. So thanks for being on the podcast today. Thank you.
