Shooting Straight Radio
Welcome to Shooting Straight Radio podcast!! This program (formerly known as "Shooting Straight Radio Show" on WMMB and iHeartRADIO) is all about firearms, the 2nd Amendment, and all things pertaining thereto. It is hosted by Royce, a veritable super-spreader of Constitutional propriety as well as a firearms instructor with multiple certifications, including endorsement by the National Association of Chiefs of Police as a defensive pistol instructor. It has been said that he is saturated with gunshot residue, toxic masculinity, and a faint, yet wildly tantalizing whiff of the cologne of his people (Hoppe's #9) as he delivers his unexpurgated commentary on all things firearm and 2nd Amendment-related with 100% felt recoil and no suppressor. As an Ultra-Type-A personality, he is exceedingly generous (and sometimes comically brutal) with his opinions and doesn't mince words. A staunch Constitutionalist, he calls out infringements when and where he sees them. Royce is often joined on the program by special guests like Dale Comstock (DELTA Force), John Rea (SEAL Team 6), Max Mullen (Army Ranger), Quentin Carter (a.k.a. "Q"), Gary O'Neal (American Warrior), Boon Benton (USMC, Benghazi warrior), Sarah "Superbad" Adams (CIA Target Analyst), Col. Danny McKnight (Black Hawk Down), Izzy Matos (USMC combat vet), Ash Hess (U.S. Army combat veteran and instructor extraordinaire), Massad Ayoob, Hank Hayes (Professor Emeritus of Badassology), Spike Cohen (spikecohen.com), ATF whistleblower Peter Forcelli, Erich Pratt and Luis Valdes of GOA, and many more. So tune in to Shooting Straight (a.k.a. 2nd Amendment University) and share it around with your fellow Constitutionalists. Keep your head on a swivel, keep a loaded gun on your person (and spare mags), and never forget that incoming rounds always have the right-of-way.

Primary Topic: Incremental Disarmament Via Serialization, Taxation, Registration, Confiscation
FIRST HALF
Royce puts forth a fiery challenge to all law enforcement officials across America, with Virginia and Illinois in particular, as he discusses imminent legislation that's designed to do what General Thomas Gage attempted in 1774 during the Powder Alarm; in which he ordered British troops to seize the colonists supply of gunpowder and lead shot from their centrally located storage magazine.
SECOND HALF
New York is attempting to pass an 11% excise tax on all gun and ammo purchases, in an attempt to make it more difficult for citizens to purchase them, incrementally diminishing the free exercise of the 2nd Amendment.
Democrat communists are back-dooring universal background checks into the SAVE Act.

emphasis on the Second Amendment and all things pertaining thereto. I am Royce,
your also cute, cuddly, huggable, lovable, squeezable host, still saturated with gunshot residue,
toxic masculinity, and a faint yet, oh so wildly tantalizing whiff of the cologne of my people,
hops number nine. Don't forget you can follow the program on social media, on Farcebook and on
Instagram, even though Farcebook is threatening to not make my pages visible anymore because
somehow I'm not following their community standards with I'm not sure what.
They didn't give me an example of what I did that was so horrible. They just said,
we're not recommending your page to anybody anymore until you align with our community standards.
Of course, didn't give me any kind of an opportunity to ask, okay, what exactly are the standards
you're talking about and what violations thereof? But no,
nothing, nothing. Just you need to align yourself with our standards and we're not going to tell
you what you did wrong. Yeah, it's kind of like being, you know, married to them or something.
What's the problem? Nothing. Yeah, you know, that kind of thing. Anyway. You can follow on
Instagram, too. I don't post the links to the episodes there anymore. It's just I don't have time.
Sorry, I got too much going on. I work three jobs, and I have to cut back on a lot of the stuff
that I do. So I appreciate your understanding in advance. If you want to reach out to me,
shootingstraightradiopodcast at gmail.com or shootingstraightradioshow at gmail.com,
and I always answer very quickly. All right? Okay, let's dive into things because there's a lot
happening all over the country. Oh, by the way, I'm sure you heard Pam Blondie got fired. Good.
I just want to know who the replacement is going to be. And hopefully it's somebody that is
actually pro-Second Amendment because Blondie is not. I don't think she even understands what the
Second Amendment is. I'm not even sure she understands the entirety or the principles of the
Constitution. But anyway, she's out. We don't know who's going to be in. I guess it remains to be
seen.
But there's a lot going on in Virginia, New York, Illinois, more and more oppression of the people.
More steps towards total gun confiscation and total rule by oppression by the Democrat Communist
Party. You've got Virginia where firearm sales are spiking through the blippity-blankin roof right
now, obviously due to the trifecta of totalitarianism that's seeking to illegally disarm them by
passing illegal laws. When I say the trifecta of totalitarianism, I'm talking about the governor
and lieutenant governor, the AG, and the state legislature, all under communist control right now,
as I understand it. And they are doing their best to completely disarm the people.
There's only one reason anybody would want to disarm you, and that's to make you weaker than them.
So we know what's going on there. Tuesday, I actually got a call from Virginia.
Police officer looking for an SR-25, a Knights Armament SR-25 rifle,
one of the finest 7.62x51 battle rifles on the planet. Actually,
the finest, if you ask me. I know exactly how those things are built. I worked there.
And he called the shop wanting to know if he could buy one. And he says, you know, yeah,
I'm trying to get a hold of one. We didn't have any, of course. I said, I just want to get one
before these gun control laws go into effect up here. And I said, well, you want to do something
about that?
Yeah. Just weekly. Just like that. Very weekly. Well, yeah. Okay.
I said, how about you? and all of your fellow law enforcement officers in your state, send a
notification to the governor, the lieutenant governor, and the AG, and the state legislature that
you are not going to enforce any of the gun control laws they pass because they are
unconstitutional. Because you, sir, you're the teeth in those laws.
Why not simply refuse to comply for the sake of your fellow citizens? And he just laughed weakly,
like, yeah, yeah. I forget what he mumbled, but it was something very weak.
And I was like, dude, I didn't say this, but I wanted to say, man, jump up and down and let your
testicles drop, okay? And he hung up before I could tell him that even if I did have an SR-25
available, that I wouldn't sell it to him unless he honored his oath to the Constitution and stood
up for the rights of his fellow citizens. Yeah, whatever happened to pledging our lives and
fortunes and sacred honor in the cause of liberty? Whatever happened to that?
These days, we're afraid to even lose our jobs, much less our lives. Oh, I don't want to lose my
job. And they're counting on that. They're counting on keeping you compliant. Well,
how about all you law enforcement officers in Virginia? You honor your oath to uphold and defend
the supreme law. How about we start there? And yeah, I'm going to make some more enemies out of my
law enforcement friends today. I'm sorry. The truth needs to be told. And I don't whitewash
anything for the sake of keeping friends or anything like that. I hope we do remain friends.
But when the truth needs to be told, if it runs contrary to you, well, I'm sorry.
If the truth hurts you, that's not on me. I simply speak the truth.
If it cuts you to the quick, maybe you need to realign yourselves with the right way of thinking.
So how about you honor your oath to uphold and defend the supreme law? You did take that oath. Or
was that just an oath you took to maybe get the job? Did you just raise your hand and swear an
empty oath that really doesn't mean anything to you just so you could become a police officer and
get the job and get that salary or maybe even because you like the adrenaline of those kind of
service jobs? Did you raise your hand and take the oath?
Okay, did you? Ask yourself this now. Did I raise my hand and take an oath?
Okay, oaths are a very solemn thing. Did you pledge? to uphold and defend the supreme law.
And when I say supreme law, the Constitution, of course, that means it enjoys a place of primacy,
supremacy over all other laws. That means all laws that are repugnant to that law are null and void
at the will of the people. And you are the people. You're not military.
Don't refer to us as civilians. We're not beneath you. You are servants to the people,
not to your government. So don't you dare turn your hand against the people.
And let me ask you this. Do you have any honor? Prove it now. Now is the time for you to stand your
butts up. That's what time it is. So. Royce, what are we supposed to do?
Oh, hey, man, I'm full of ideas here. Let me share them with you, okay? This is my plan to stop
infringements anywhere and everywhere, but particularly right now in Virginia. So,
by the way, citizens of Virginia, this is your Lexington Concord moment. Yeah,
they are trying to disarm you. We're going to make some historical parallels here in just a moment.
But how about to start with the body of the citizenry? issue resolutions of noncompliance.
Let's start there and send them out to every law enforcement agency in the state, to all of the
state attorneys. You send it to the state attorney's office. You send it to the legislature and you
send it to that filthy governor up there of yours, that filthy godless communist and the lieutenant
governor and the AG, Jay Jones, who's a filthy communist too. You send it to them and say,
you can pass this if you want. But if you try to enforce it, there's going to be trouble. Royce,
man, you're talking about threatening violence against it. No. I'm talking about telling them and
promising them that they will receive justifiable resistance against any enforcement of laws that
try to disarm them, which weaken the security of the free state. This is where we need to be
mentally and emotionally right now, people. Royce, easy for you to say. Yeah,
it is easy for me to say because I'm exactly the person that would stand up. If I was a cop in
Virginia right now, number one, I'd be looking for another job because I would never lend my power
against my fellow citizens. I never would do that. Oh, Roy, sure, yeah, you can say that now.
You ask anybody that knows me. I'm exactly that person. I don't mind making the waves.
Actually, I kind of take a perverse pleasure in it sometimes. But anyway, Resolutions of
noncompliance across the board. You sign those things en masse,
put millions of signatures on them, and you tell them you will not enforce this against us.
If you do, we have the right to defend ourselves with whatever force you make necessary.
Then, all of you law enforcement officers, you send resolutions of non-enforcement.
You educate your fellow law enforcement officers to be the stopgap measure here and not to break
their oath to uphold and defend the supreme law. Because if there's no enforcement, well,
then basically there's no law. A law without enforcement withers on the vine.
That's what needs to happen with these laws. I'm sick to death of hearing, what are we going to do
if we pass this law? How about you grow those body parts you might be missing? You know, like a
spine and your guts and your testicles? How about we start there? Yeah, stand your butts up.
All of you law enforcement officers up there need to listen to this. You understand that you become
tyrants by proxy if and when you enforce gun control laws.
You understand that? You are aiding tyranny to the severe detriment of your fellow citizens.
You all sit back all the time, and you let your fellow citizens like us do all the fighting for
your rights, and then you turn your hands against us when our efforts may fail and gun control gets
passed. Oh, well, I guess I've got to enforce it when you did nothing to stand up against it in the
first place. Yeah, because you all know that you're going to receive an exception from your
masters. They'll give you a carve out in these bills. These laws won't apply to you.
And they're doing that for a reason. And that's to gain your favor, that you will side with them
and not the people. And so these illegal laws won't affect you.
And so you side with the oppressors of the people. That's what you're doing.
That's what you will do if you plan to enforce any of these laws in Virginia.
So, yes, all of you in Virginia that listen to this podcast, and I know there's a bunch of you,
send this episode to all of them. I don't care if it pisses every one of them off. Send this
episode to them. Don't be cowards. This is not the time for cowardice. You stand your butts up,
all you law enforcement officers there in the state of Virginia. Stand up and you get into this
fight with us or go ahead and declare yourselves to be enemies of the Constitution and the people.
One or the other. There is no fence riding here. You claim to protect and serve the people,
why don't you do that by honoring your oath to uphold and defend the supreme law? And if you just
flat out refuse to do that, or you're too cowardly to do that, then go ahead and kneel and kiss the
hands of your masters that feed you, and may history record your names in infamy.
That's where I'm at with this crap. You want to let yourself be used as the teeth of tyranny?
And you want our respect? Ain't going to happen, baby. Ain't going to freaking happen.
Now let's segue over to Illinois. You've got Illinois House Bill 4414,
which is the Ammo Registration Act that was proposed back in March of this year.
And this act would actually require all handgun ammunition manufactured,
sold, or owned within Illinois to be serialized yes that's a serial number on each and every
cartridge case
Let that sink in. Every cartridge case will require a serial number.
Each round will be serialized. Boy,
the headaches this is going to cost. Number one, no ammo company in America is going to go for
this. They're not going to even try to become Illinois compliant with this. Why would they?
$25 box of ammo would spike up to $75. You kidding me?
They would also want to start a centralized state police registry for what they call transaction
tracking and a $0.05 per round tax on top of that. So the key requirements are all handgun ammo,
including any that's imported into the state or for personal use, or if it's gifted to you,
must have unique serialized numbers on each cartridge case.
Then the implementation is going to be through the Illinois state police, and they're already
compromised. They're already commie compromised. They've already sold their souls. They've already
turned their hands against the people. They have to maintain a database of all that handgun ammo
and the handgun ammo transactions. So, all of you Illinois State Police,
I know you're going to enforce and implement this. I know you are. And as far as I'm concerned,
you are aiding and abetting and enforcing tyranny upon your fellow citizens.
And you're doing it without batting an eye. Because in your selfish little minds,
well, All right, it doesn't apply to me, so no big deal.
You want to bet? The penalties for possessing handgun ammo with no serial numbers would be a Class
C misdemeanor, 30 days in jail, $1,500 fine. Yeah, and that's per round.
And I guarantee you that's not going to be applied against criminals. Only against peaceable
citizens who inadvertently run afoul of this illegal law. So they're saying,
well, the cost impact is not going to be that great. Five cents a round. That might add $2.50
increase to a regular 50 round box of ammo. Oh,
it's going to be a whole lot more than that, especially if there was some ammo company that would
take the time to serialize each freaking cartridge case. Oh, next thing they'll say,
we want you to serialize the projectile too. Don't you doubt me on this.
Once you add the massive increase in cost for production on top of that five cents per round,
I guarantee you a box of ammo is going to run you at least 75 bucks, if not more.
Of course, the critics are saying the bill is going to be too costly.
technologically impractical, and it essentially functions as a de facto ban on ammunition.
And that's exactly what they're trying to do. The Democrat Communist Party knows exactly what
they're doing. It has nothing to do with public safety, and that's what they're relying on for
people to say, well, screw this, we're just not buying ammo. Yep, that's what they're doing. This
is a de facto ban on ammunition. This, again, strikes parallels with historical incidents in our
past, which we'll talk about in a second. But this is nothing more than a very naked attempt to
strip ammo from the hands of citizens in Illinois. And it's a very direct assault against the
Constitution and the rights of the people. This is absolutely designed to make people helpless
against their state government. Which, obviously, in my opinion, is seeking to enslave and oppress
them via ridiculous taxation and other draconian laws. You know,
like the people in New York. It's happening to them right now. Yeah, and they're fleeing in droves.
And who can blame them? You know, this reminds me of a parallel incident that I could refer to
several times now already. We're going to finally get into it. An incident that led up to the
Revolutionary War. It led up to the start of it, actually. And General Thomas Gage was originally
appointed as Royal Governor over Massachusetts in 1774,
and he attempted to neutralize any armed colonial resistance by simply restricting and or
confiscating access to gunpowder and ammunition. Yes.
So the tensions in the colonies had already been running very high between the Redcoats and the
colonists, especially in Massachusetts, had been going on for some time prior to that day,
because first you had the Boston Massacre of 1770, where armed British regulars fired on unarmed
American citizens. Then you had the famous Tea Party of 1773.
And then I'm sure most of you have heard of the Intolerable Acts of earlier 1774.
And the people there in Massachusetts from that point on were on very high alert and were keeping a
very keen eye on all the activities of the British around them. and in their governments
especially. And under the command of General Thomas Gage, who was now governor of Massachusetts,
the British soldiers had started confiscating the weapons from the colonists and the black powder
necessary to fire their cannons, their pistols, and their rifles, and, of course, their homemade
grenades. But in late August of that same year, and about a month before the incident I'm fixing to
reference, The British commander of Massachusetts, the state militia there,
Colonel William Brattle, he warned General Gage of a very large quantity of black powder located in
one of the communal powder houses in Somerville, and Gage sent his troops to seize it.
And this, of course, was, you know, that's a long time before cartridge munitions were mass
produced. Much less serialized. And shooters had to pour black powder down the barrel of their
weapons in order to prepare them to fire a lead ball.
Literally a spherical ball. And later the mini balls, they called them,
the ballettes, were conical shape and they were more stable in flight. But the colonists there...
They always kept a ready supply of gunpowder in their homes, but the larger supplies,
the larger reserves of black powder, for safety's sake, they stored them in centrally located
powder magazines far away from structures and things in the event that they caught fire and caused
horrific amounts of damage. And that's why they did that, to mitigate any accidental fires or
explosions in their homes. But following the orders by General Gage to go forth and confiscate all
these guns and ammo, on the morning of September 1st in 1774, about 250 British soldiers marched on
Somerville. They confiscated all the gunpowder and they brought it back to Boston and to the
arrogant British, especially General Gage. They figured, well, we've neutralized the threat,
no problem. All is well, and we've put these little pesky colonists in their place one more time.
But the colonists had other ideas, and I'm glad. And once they learned about the seizure of their
gunpowder, you know how reports go. One incident can trigger rumor-like reports that are
embellished, and this happened also at this time. And so reports were going on and going about that
the British had actually started a fight with their fellow communists. I mean, not communists,
their fellow colonists. Every time I start reading a word that starts with C,
I'll automatically think communist. But it was rumored that they started a fight with their fellow
colonists. I won't do it again. And they had actually. Seizing arms and weapons is an act of war.
They also said that they had seized the powder, which they had done, and that they were planning to
occupy Boston Harbor, which, of course, they eventually did the following year from April 1775 to
March 1776. And what happened in the...
Aftermath of that, after General Gage had seized the ammo and had thought,
well, we got them now. We're not too worried about them. These little upstart pesky colonists can't
do anything now. In what they call a proverbial minute,
4,000 men from around eastern Massachusetts all mustered and converged on Cambridge,
Massachusetts. and they were ready to fight and protect their rights. William Brattle was one of
the local loyalists, and he and some of his fellow Tories actually had to leave Boston for fear of
their lives and could. But I was thinking every time I read about this incident,
oh, that we the people. Would always be so immediately ready to defend our liberties and our arms
in this same manner today This is what needs to happen These people all these filthy godless
perverted communists in our country The only thing they understand is that political power grows
from the barrel of a gun. They know this Yes, one of their Dear leaders,
Mao Zedong quoted that, and they know that too. They only understand force.
That's why a show of force is necessary. That's why I'm very happy for the Virginia Citizen Defense
League. They have no problem arming up, strapping on armor, strapping on their AR-15s,
stuffing their vests full of magazines, and making a show of force.
In Virginia, they did that to Governor Ralph Noltham when he was the governor there. And now
they're doing it to Spanberger. What an evil, evil little heifer. But,
man, I wish the people in Illinois were of the same mindset.
I wish the people of New York were of the same mindset. I really do.
And while with this incident we're talking about, no fighting actually took place at that time. The
British definitively revealed their intentions to disarm the colonists.
People, my fellow citizens in Virginia and beyond, the communists are broadcasting their intentions
to disarm you and me. And those same colonists at that time revealed their ability to muster and
mobilize effectively at a moment's notice, and that's where we need to be.
So all you Illinoisans out there, your governor is now also plainly broadcasting his intention to
disarm you and to remove ammo from your stockpiles.
What are you going to do about it? You're going to follow the example of our colonists,
of our Minutemen who stood up and said, oh, heck no, you're not doing this. Are you going to sit by
and glibly just let it happen? I already know what you cops in Illinois are going to do. You're
going to turn your hand against the people because you have an exception. But your fellow citizens
don't. But you don't care. You know, the British, after that incident,
started to fortify Boston because they were starting to realize, oh my goodness, we might have
kicked a hornet's nest here. And the colonists moved their powder further away from there in
Somerville into a storehouse in Concord and Lexington.
And we know what happened after the British headed toward those armories to confiscate the powdery
weapons there. That's the proverbial shot heard round the world. Now,
of course, there's Marxist revisionist historians, so-called. And they treat this incident,
which was nicknamed the Powder Alarm, as something of like a big joke and a nothing burger.
And they think, well, this really wasn't a big deal. It wasn't really such a big deal.
They had committees of correspondence, which was kind of like colonial social media of their day.
And they said they were just spreading misinformation about British accents. Yeah.
They were surmising that there was no fleet occupying Boston at that time.
What were they talking about? The British are going to occupy Boston Harbor. Well,
they did. That's what they ended up doing. They also claimed that all of this powder was largely
owned by the British anyway. That was false. And then they say, tell me what this sounds like.
Who needs all that powder anyway? That sounds familiar, doesn't it?
Who needs an AR-15? Who needs all that ammo?
Yep, that sounds very, very similar, doesn't it? They say,
well, nobody got hurt that day. Oh, I know they didn't. You know why? Because 4,000 colonial
citizens picked up arms, mustered quickly, and presented themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
That's why nobody got hurt.
This kind of crap has been going on many parallels throughout history,
especially like, say, Venezuela, 2012, when they outlawed private gun sales,
like, you know, they're trying to do here. We know what happened after that. Yeah, Venezuelan
citizens were being run over by armored half-tracks in the street. I'm sorry,
armored personnel carriers, not half-tracks. What about 1996 Australia? when they confiscated guns
from their people? What about 2019 in Canada, when they made it illegal to buy or transfer most
handguns? Then what happened with the COVID-19 scandemic, when that was unleashed upon us by
genocidal elitist swine? Both of these so-called Commonwealth nations had no problem shoving the
unvaccinated and the dissident citizens into literal,
veritable prison camps. What about now in the UK,
where private pistol and private rifle ownership is very rare. And you got recent Islamofascist
violence going on there. And you know what that has done? It hasn't led the British government to
protect their citizens. No, they're protecting the Islamofascists that they led into the country.
Yeah. And they're even threatening. What they call keyboard warriors on social media.
Even here in America, they're threatening Americans who are saying mean things about them on
Facebook and beyond. They're threatening us even with jail time just for posting memes and other
posts that are critical of them and their immigration policy especially.
So, will the same thing happen now in Illinois? Will the state policy?
eventually, I'm sorry, the state police eventually go door to door and trying to confiscate
unserialized ammo and guns? Yes, they will. You know why?
Because they're cowards. They took an oath to uphold and defend the supreme law, but now they're
going to turn their power against the people and their oath is going to go out the window and
they're going to wipe their posterior end with it. That's what's going to happen. You already got
peaceable citizens being arrested all over these communist-occupied territories simply for
possessing unregistered guns and unserialized guns.
And why do you think they want to arrest citizens for unregistered or unserialized ammunition?
Because, by the way, all guns and ammo were unserialized in 1774,
okay? Matter of fact, serialization didn't show up until after 1934. And all the while,
they continue to release violent criminals upon the public, often without even charging them any
bail. Wow, wow, wow. You know, what's ironic is a lot of states,
they try to argue against private ownership of so-called military weapons and their large capacity
magazines by trying to use the analogy of a few colonial restrictions on black powder storage,
like I referenced earlier, which were done for real public safety. They forget that colonists had a
ready supply of gunpowder in their homes also. And there was one noted explosion in a private
residence because of too much powder being stored and stored apparently too close to some ignition
source and it blew them up. But these ban happy people.
They conveniently leave out the fact that so-called high capacity magazines don't blow up houses
and that these bans only put peaceable citizens at a disadvantage against the criminals in
government and the ones on the street who really don't care about these restrictions on ammo and
serialization of ammo because they don't affect them. And in so doing,
they assault the supreme law and the rights of the people enumerated therein. We're going to take a
brief commercial timeout. When we come back, we're going to take a trip to New York. And we're
going to talk about what they're doing to completely strip the people of their arms and any means
of self-defense. Don't go anywhere. We've got a lot more to go here on Shooting Straight.

We have been talking about the obvious attempts by the Democrat Communist Party to disarm the
people of their states, respectively. They're trying to take us down one state at a time. Of
course, doing so in concert with Islamofascists. They share a mind and they share an evil soul.
And so they are teaming up to try to disarm us all because they have plans to do horrible,
terrible things to us. They've already voiced their intentions. So take them at their word,
okay? But they know because there are many, you know, Supreme Court rulings that do stand in their
way, barely, because they've got a gutless Supreme Court that won't enforce their own Bruin
standards, but they will try to disarm us via taxation or registration and eventually confiscation
through whatever means they can. That's their playbook, just like the British.
It's funny how totalitarians all seem to share the same traits no matter what century we're in.
I'm going to read you an article by Tom Knighton. He writes for BearingArms.com.
Follow that publication. Excellent publication. A lot of excellent writers there like Tom Knighton
and a couple of others there that are totally escaping my memory right now.
But here's the article called New York Democrats. pushing excise tax for guns and ammo.
Yeah, just like Illinois doing a five-cent tax per round, plus serialization,
you know. Here's the article. Owning a firearm in New York is not exactly a trivial matter.
The state really doesn't want you armed, and if you are going to own a firearm, they've got a lot
of laws in place to discourage you from doing so. That's especially true with handguns,
but it doesn't necessarily stop there. Still, They can't ban them entirely.
They might want to, but they can't because they've been smacked down repeatedly by the Supreme
Court too much to try. That doesn't mean they've stopped trying to make it an even bigger pain in
the posterior. In fact, while guns aren't exactly super cheap as it is,
they're trying to make them even more expensive. The latest such efforts by anti-gun Democrat
lawmakers is a proposed tax on guns and ammo in an attempt to make it too expensive.
for the average New Yorker to keep and bear arms. NRA's Institute for Legislative Action wrote in a
recent legislative update, If they cannot outright confiscate your firearms,
they will make sure you cannot afford to buy or shoot them. That's exactly what's going on,
especially in Illinois. Former Chief Justice, the statement continues, John Marshall once famously
proclaimed that, The power to tax is the power to destroy,
end quote. Albany New York Democrats understand this axiom all too well,
and this appears to be the motivation. behind their latest push. The measure S5813-A would impose
an 11% excise tax on the sale of all firearms and ammunition in the state.
Of course, violent criminals who mostly get their guns through illegal means would not be affected
by the proposal, nor, by the way, would any people writing, passing, or enforcing these laws.
Only people affected would be law-abiding gun owners. To add insult to injury, the bill would take
the newly stolen tax dollars and launder them into a gun violence prevention school safety program
also created by the legislation. Isn't that nice how they take money from us and then use it
against us to attack our rights? If that doesn't infuriate you,
then I don't know. I don't know what's wrong with you. If that does not light your fire, your wood
is wet. Yeah.
Of course, we all know, the article continues, that any program these guys concoct will be as
vehemently anti-gun as it can be if it's not just a copy and paste from someone like Everytown's
proposals on similar programs. Let's keep in mind that an 11% excise tax on both guns and
ammunition will have a drastic impact on gun ownership for the poorest New Yorkers.
more than anyone else. By the way, they're all being made poor with all the idiotic taxation going
on there. And as it stands, he said, if they want to carry a firearm,
they'll have to have a permit to purchase, pay for a concealed carry course that includes live fire
training, which means they'll need ammo to practice beforehand as well as for the class.
Then, on top of all that, for the firearm itself, They want an additional 11% tax on the guns and
the ammo. Yes, seriously. And then they'll funnel that money into a program that will demonize
guns, likely offer zero real safety instruction to anyone beyond the simple,
stay away from guns, they're evil, and then pretend they did something to make New York safer.
That's a perfect analogy there, Tom. Meanwhile... The criminals who are getting these guns via the
underground market aren't just bypassing background checks or permitting requirements anymore.
They're also skipping out on the tax that their own actions have supposedly justified.
This is beyond ridiculous, but it is New York State.
What else can we expect from them when it comes to guns? Great article,
Tom, and that's a great question, too. What else should we expect? Nothing. We should actually
expect even worse. Listen, once you are completely disarmed there in New York,
y'all don't have a prayer. You heard about recently, I talked about the incident here on this
program, where a three-agency reaction to a man who had like 38 rounds of ammo Yes,
that's what they concluded in their investigation and then did this SWAT raid with heavily armored
vehicles and Humvees on this young man's home for having 38 rounds of ammo.
Actually put on a shelter-in-place order at the local school. But then they proclaimed themselves
heroes and we're keeping y'all safe.
Make me vomit all over you. Go ahead and tell me what a hero you are when you're doing something
like that. I will projection vomit into your face. Really, I don't know what else to...
I'm trying to keep from cussing here, but that infuriates me. Y'all have no honor at all if that's
what you think a police officer is supposed to be. One more time, you boys and girls swore an oath
to uphold and defend the Constitution, and you better damn well honor that. And if you don't,
you... Make yourselves bribe proxy domestic enemies of the Constitution.
Yes, you do. You said to shake your head all you want. Yes, I see you out there. No,
I don't, but you know what I mean. Yeah. Oh, Royce, you'd be a little overly dramatic. No, I'm
being a realist, and if you can't handle that, there's plenty of other podcasts out there.
Now we got the... Let's go on a national level. Democrats are pushing a backdoor gun ban through
the SAVE Act that President Trump really badly wants to push through to try to bring integrity back
to our elections, which have been horribly compromised by fraud, rampant fraud. And this is an
article from Texas Gun Rights by the Texas Gun Rights staff. And here's the article.
Democrat U.S. Senator Chris Coons is at it again. While Americans focus on the Save America Act,
that's Senate Bill 1383,
anti-gun Democrats in Washington are quietly trying to hijack the bill with a backdoor gun control
amendment that strikes directly at your Second Amendment rights. And here's what this amendment
actually does. The Coons Amendment, 4655, would effectively outlaw nearly all private firearm sales
and transfers in the United States. By the way, that's the universal background checks that they so
hungrily crave. This is, for all intents and purposes,
the removal of one more area of supply of arms to the people. That's what this is. Private gun
sales amongst ourselves. is a supply line to each other.
And these people are trying to dry up our supply of arms and ammo, just like the British back in
1774. So, under this proposal,
you would no longer be free to sell, gift, or transfer a firearm to another law-abiding citizen
without federal government involvement. Yeah, how are you going to approve it if we do?
I'll talk more about that on another podcast. Instead, nearly every transfer would be forced
through a federally licensed dealer. That means more government paperwork,
permanent government records, and federal oversight of private transactions.
The amendment states,
In plain English, it's the same universal gun registration scheme that Texas gun rights has been
warning Texans about for years. This creates a paper trail. for nearly every firearm transfer in
America, the exact foundation needed for a national gun registry,
and gun owners know what comes next. Yeah, actually, universal background checks mandate a gun
registry in order to maintain compliance. I hate that freaking word.
And, by the way, as we've discussed here multiple times, that registry has already been created.
This will simply augment it and legalize it, quote unquote. Yeah. They say registration leads to
confiscation. Amen. History is clear. Gun registration has always been the precursor to
confiscation. Always. And this amendment pushes the U.S. one step closer to that reality,
all under the false banner of, quote unquote, common sense. Law-abiding gun owners are the target,
they say. Criminals will not follow this law, as they never do. And not just the criminals on the
street. The ones wearing suit and ties in state legislatures, too. Yeah.
And they're enforcement officials. They won't use the FFLs.
The criminals won't. They won't file paperwork. They won't ask for permission. They won't ask for a
permit. And this amendment does not, of course, stop any crime. It targets you,
the law-abiding gun owner. It could even create, the article says, legal gray areas for temporary
transfers between friends or family, turning responsible Americans into criminals overnight.
They say the gun confiscation agenda is escalating. Yes, it is. Just like it escalated back in
1774, all the way to that shot heard round the world on the Lexington Green that day.
They say this is how the gun confiscation lobby operates. They don't always come for your gun
rights all at once. They chip away one amendment, one restriction, one small step at a time,
hoping gun owners don't notice. Until it's too late. And that's exactly what they are doing right
now. It's funny how history repeats itself. And it's doing that now.
On a much larger scale than the British could ever have hoped to do back in the colonial times.
It's happening. And I want to know, I'm going to ask all of my fellow keepers and bearers out
there. Where's your line in the sand?
What's going to be the catalyst for your Lexington green moment? When are you going to point your
finger to your legislators and your governors and your attorneys general?
When are you going to point your fingers at them and say, you have crossed the line far enough. You
back your little happy butts up. And if you try to pass this and then enforce it, there's going to
be trouble. If you bring force to us. and you attempt to squelch the free exercise of our God
-given blood-bought rights, we reserve the right, the constitutional right,
to alter or abolish you as a government. And we have the right to do that under arms.
Yes, I said it. We have the right to defend ourselves against forced confiscation of our arms.
just like the colonists did back in their day. I can only hope that one day we will be like the
colonists, where at a moment's notice we could muster 4,000 people under arms to be a show of
force. to those trying to confiscate our rightful arms and our ammunition.
Because it's going on right now piecemeal in state legislatures all over the freaking country.
So we had better go ahead and start setting that line in our hearts and minds.
Where is your Lexington Concord line? I know where mine's at.
You even think about coming to my door and knocking on it saying, yeah, you got to give your guns
up. Well, okay, here you go. And it's going to get loud. I'll give you the ammo first.
How about that? One round at a time. And it's going to be really loud.
Yes, I will use force to defend my rights against unlawful force against me and my rights.
I have every right to do that. And so do you. my fellow Americans.
So you stay in contact with your reps. You stay armed up. You stay trained up.
You keep plenty of beans, bullets, and bandages on hand. And never forget,
incoming rounds always have the right of way. Voice out.
