Hill’s 2004 short story The Black Phone was a part of the anthology 20th Century Ghosts. It was adapted into the 2021 horror/thriller film of the same name. It stars Ethan Hawke in the villainous role as well some talented child actors Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw.
