75. Is Self Love Biblical?
What are your thoughts about self love?
We live in a culture that is centered around self love. Everywhere we turn, we see a t-shirt that says ‘I am enough’, or an advertisement that boasts ‘I am worthy”. The media is constantly promoting acceptance & praise for everyone, but at what cost?
Take a minute to ask yourself ‘Where does my worth come from?’. If the answer is anything but ‘God’, then we have a self love problem that needs to be addressed. We must humble ourselves before God and acknowledge that apart from Him, we are nothing.
Anything that is taken to an extreme level can become a slippery slope.. But what does the Bible say about self love? Is there a biblically acceptable version of this widely popular term?
