78. Fostering Hope with Lisa Robertson
Are you being obedient to God’s call on your life?
Due to an unexpected health crisis, Lisa Robertson had to have her uterus removed just days after having her first child. Along with the heartbreak of her ability to have more children being taken away from her, she didn’t get to see her daughter for two weeks.
Lisa’s road to physical recovery was long, but even longer was the journey to emotional healing. She was heartbroken that she would not be able to give her husband a son. Six months after having surgery, Lisa was diagnosed with PTSD and she began her path to healing through counseling.
Through this process, Lisa and her husband felt that God was pressing foster care onto their hearts. This calling was confirmed one Sunday at church when their pastor referenced foster care in his sermon.
Seven and a half years later, Lisa & her husband have fostered 7 children, 6 of which have been boys. Join us and listen to this truly remarkable story of healing and Lisa’s obedience to the calling God has placed on her life.
