Local.Global.Nevada (L.G.N)
L.G.N stands for Local.Global Nevada.
Earlier Diplochatz, it is Northern Nevada International Center's (NNIC) rebranded podcast show. We are creating interactive interview-based audio-visual content that highlight the impact of NNIC locally and around the world.
Local. Global. Nevada is NNIC's voice to the community. It is a human-centered podcast that brings international, immigrant and refugee stories to the forefront. It is aimed to explain how global events shape Northern Nevada, and foster (encourage) dialogue that builds trust across cultures. Amplifying local voices weaving in global perspectives, the podcast serves as a bridge of diplomacy, connection, and understanding. We ensure that when new Nevadans thrive, our community is stronger. We talk about the work NNIC is doing, bringing in experts to break down complex global issues and the U.S. policies, and explain how it affects Northern Nevada.
L.G.N is hosted by Yulia Rajeh, Marketing and Strategic Communication Specialist for NNIC. New L.G.N episodes will be out every two weeks. To learn more about the Northern Nevada International Center you can visit our website www.nnic.org

In this powerful episode of Local. Global. Nevada., we explore the strength, adaptability, and quiet leadership of immigrant women in our community.
Behind every resettled family is a woman navigating language barriers, cultural transitions, employment challenges, and the emotional weight of rebuilding life in a new country. Despite experiencing displacement, instability, and trauma, immigrant women often serve as the backbone of their families — fostering resilience, stability, and hope for the next generation.
This episode highlights how the Northern Nevada International Center (NNIC) is intentionally investing in women through its Women’s Empowerment Initiative, including the “She Thrives” program. We discuss how access to English language education, peer support groups, leadership development, and culturally responsive programming creates pathways not just for survival — but for confidence, independence, and long-term success.
If you care about integration, equity, and building a stronger Northern Nevada, this is an episode you won’t want to miss.
