What happens when an elite athlete, successful entrepreneur, and health-conscious individual still can't figure out why they're sick?

In this episode of Never Been Sicker, Michael Rubino sits down with Pavel Aeon to discuss chronic fatigue, Epstein-Barr virus, autoimmune issues, mold exposure, anxiety, burnout, nervous system regulation, and the lessons he learned while rebuilding his health.

Pavel shares how recurring illness ended his dreams of becoming a professional cyclist, why success in business didn't solve his health challenges, and how he ultimately became the CEO of his own health. From building one of the fastest-growing OrangeTheory Fitness franchise regions in the country to spending 10 days in complete darkness searching for clarity, Pavel's journey is anything but conventional.

SPEAKER_01

I basically was sick every two weeks, extreme fatigue. There was a visible black mold on top of my ceiling. My name is Michael Rubino.

SPEAKER_00

I'm on a personal mission to make sure you don't get sick inside your own home.

SPEAKER_01

I knew there was something wrong. I'm just so relieved there's something that you can do about it.

SPEAKER_00

Hello and welcome to another episode of Never Been Sicker. I'm your host, indoor air quality expert, Michael Rubino, and today's very special guest, Pavel Ayon. Pavel, how are you? Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to be here with us.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you. Thank you so much for having me. And it couldn't be more of a name than what I've dealt with in life. So I was like, yes, like you really are resonating a note that many people need to hear.

SPEAKER_00

So thank you. Of course, absolutely. So obviously, you just mentioned the podcast is called Never Been Sicker. So can can you explain why you're here sharing your wisdom with us? Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

I I think like so many of us dealt with a series of health issues my whole life. It actually started with uh Epstein Bar, then chronic fatigue, then you know, a whole bunch of viruses, and uh all the way to an autoimmune condition where I basically was sick every two weeks. And this is back when I was, you know, striving professional cyclist and I was making it to pro and I wanted to, you know, do Tour de France and Olympics, and it killed my career. And uh that's basically was my first kind of a pivotal moment into biohacking and Wim Hof and health. And then the second kind of a pivotal moment came in when I had to quit cycling and I went all in on business, moved to America, and was building, you know, Orange Theory fitness uh franchises all over the country, and I hit it again, you know, burnout, depression, anxiety. And so I knew that I gotta look into the foundation and and what am I doing and and and who am I trusting? And I did not want to go, you know, the antidepressant route. I didn't want to go the conventional route. And so I became the CEO of my own health. And, you know, that's I think what all of us are waking up to today.

SPEAKER_00

Totally, yeah. So tell me tell me a little bit about what symptoms you were dealing with and what did you have to overcome?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so so extreme fatigue. Uh, I mean, I would sleep, you know, 15-18 hours and felt like I didn't sleep at all. I uh uh I had uh well there was also malt into the mix, you know, as again, you know, I think 50% of our homes in America have malt, and that's how I find you guys. But uh basically uh it was you know fatigue, it was constantly getting sick. Uh I found a series of parasites, and and actually it wasn't until I did a whole you know ivermectin and fembenzidol cure that that I stopped being sick. So that was kind of like when I discovered the the lay ground to that uh personally. And then, you know, sleep. I I had a horrible sleep, even though I would follow all the biohacks and circadian rhythm and and and you know, exercise, healthy food, I would still not be able to rest and sleep. And so uh those were some of the you know main symptoms. Uh of course, this anxiety that just like wouldn't leave me was one of the you know worse because it wasn't like mentally induced. It was very much I wake up in the morning and then the day just goes into this trigger of of this you know chest heaviness and and feeling. Uh so you know long story short, uh that was a lot more.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, no, no. Thank you for sharing that. I know none of that stuff's easy to go through, obviously. And yeah, you, as you mentioned, had to become the CEO of your own health. Uh I'm curious, uh, you you you were living in you said Brazil.

SPEAKER_01

So so I'm originally from Czech Republic. Uh so born and raised there. Uh I came to US uh when I was 15 uh at first, and then between 15 and 20, I uh was you know at an elite and then professional level cycling. So I literally was traveling every every continent, uh doing you know, bike races on. And then when I was about 20, 21, I moved to uh the states, you know, full-time to to run you know businesses. So uh that was kind of the progression is Earth Citizen more than anything.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I have no idea where I got Brazil from, so I apologize for that. So Czech Republic, you came from the Czech Republic, uh, which by the way, been to Prague and absolutely love that city. Um and so you started not feeling well as a cyclist, right? Is that sort of what was happening?

SPEAKER_01

Definitely. So I started my first company when I was 17 years old, and it it it mirrors this because um I uh I long story short, I was basically selling carbon bike frames uh from Alibaba to eBay, and you know, my dad gave me a choice you go to school and your life is paid for, or you're gonna do your little cycling thing and you're gonna have to figure it out. And so that's when the the entrepreneur inside of me kicked in. But that's also where the extremists uh has kicked in. And what happened was instead of me recovering and sleeping after long races, which you know, we would do on average 20,000 miles a year on a bike, and that's obviously very, very intense for the body. But if you don't sleep on top of it, and then you are, you know, teen and up, where you also like to party and and you know, uh live a life to the fullest, that's honestly what I I caused it to myself. You know, there's definitely there's actually not no one to blame but me not taking time off.

SPEAKER_00

And then so then you moved to the States and you started opening up orange theory franchises?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, there was a few different businesses in between, but but uh I that was kind of my first like big success in life. I I was 22 years old and uh I was looking to you know put my effort and energy into something new because I sold my carbon bike frame business. And when I moved to America, you know, as as as you know, there is a difficulty getting visa. So I was at first just trying to find a business that would qualify uh for E2, and I got into a sushi restaurant which didn't end up qualifying. Then I went into Tutti Fruity Frozen Yogurt chain. Uh, I don't know if you remember the frozen yogurt era when that came in. And I think I had this like luck or or sense of for trends, you know, before they they took off. And I was sick and tired of making people fat. That was literally like I could not live with myself knowing what they're putting into the frozen yogurts, marketed as a healthy, you know, dessert. And so I left Hawaii at the time, that's where I had the licenses, and I went back to Tampa, Florida. And in Tampa, there was, I think it was like a fifth or sixth Orange Theory. Like that was it. You know, there's now 2,000 plus around the world, but it was totally at the beginning. And what I loved about it is, you know, it had a heart rate monitor, it had a high intensity level training, so it kind of synced with how I was training as an athlete, but then it also matched the the business side of me that it was very, very, you know, profitable uh business. So I literally I went on a went into a car and I drove across to Fort Lauderdale, uh, again at 22 years old, and there's this kid, right, that comes into the office. There's five employees, that's it. Uh now there's like 300, you know, major corporations. And uh I meet the CEO, the president, you know, the legal, and I'm like, I would like to franchise one of your regions. What do you have opened? And basically they told me that Georgia State is available, but you have two days before the uh franchise disclosure happens, uh, which happens every year in in you know, they redisclose the the franchise documents. So they basically gave me two days to complete it, to finish it. And I think it was their polite way to say fuck golf, you know, the to this, you know, kid, right? And uh and I was able to do it. I literally got everything done, got the funding, got the documents, and I was driving up to Atlanta, Georgia, and uh never been there. I drove through there for you know for races, but that was about it. And within six months, we became the fastest growing uh region in the entire chain. So later on, I ended up partnering with the CEO, with the president, and literally we ended up uh managing you know seven different regions and almost 100 licenses uh at the peak. Wow, good for you, Pavel. Thank you. And that's where my health that's where my health crashed again, by the way, like like the same cycle as cycling. It happened to me, you know, right there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so tell so tell me about that. So you you how many did you end up building over in Georgia?

SPEAKER_01

So Georgia, we bought it with 25 licenses at first, but we ended up pushing it to 55. And it was actually one of the most powerful markets. Uh, I kept the ones in you know, in the in a in the in the heavy uh core demographics for for us, and then I was uh like a master franchise or so I could also franchise other licenses to franchisees and then take care of them. So so yeah, so we ended up building you know 55 just there. Then we went into South Beach area, we went into uh San Francisco or Bay Area, Nevada, Oregon, uh Hawaii, and New York. Uh we called it a super urban project. And here is the the takeaway. I don't want to you know brag on this side uh because it was it was an amazing past, but I the the lessons that came to me was that you know burnouts was a standard. You know, I would just drive, drive, drive at myself until I basically fall off. And that's what we see today. You know, half of the issues that I've learned that are happening is from this regulation of our nervous system. And then the second part is like knowing when to pause. And so maybe later we can talk a little bit about the practical side of how I've been able to adjust it in my life today. But uh essentially what I did every three to four months, I would commit myself that I will do something ridiculous, something outside of my you know comfort zone as an entrepreneur. And so it led me into some of the craziest places from the samurai camp in Japan to a you know psychic village in Brazil, all the way to you know, hiking with Wim Hof in Poland with just shorts on in the snow. And in these you know, experiences, it was all you know driven by this inner voice that there's more to life. You know, there's more to life than just making businesses and money and companies, because I saw that trajectory where it was taking me. You know, it was taking me back into burnouts and divorce and and you know, even though everything financial was amazing, everything outside of that was absolutely, you know, not who I was or I wanted to be. And where the main pivotal moment came from is about nine or ten years ago, I went for the first time to spend 10 days in complete darkness in uh Thailand. And um, I literally just wanted peace. You know, I walked in there as a busy, busy businessman and I wanted to leave my cell phone behind. And what it gave me was an absolute, you know, 360 change in life. It took me about seven days of just brutal monkey mind. You know, if anybody listening knows what I'm talking about, this, you know, monkey wandering mind that just won't shut up if it's unleashed. And imagine that all you have to do is just be with your thoughts. And what I did at that time was I start occupying my mind and learning, you know, where the focus goes in silence and solitude. And so first I went in the past. I start thinking, you know, what did I do right and wrong and who did I hurt? And I had to forgive myself, accept myself. It was a really deep work on the emotional and mental level. And then the the next part of the time, I start focusing on the future. And what came to me was a big realization that we don't dream enough. You know, we go into our lives and we forget to dream. We forget to follow our highest excitement and passion and purpose. And that's really what it gave me there was a clarity, was a silence. And day seven, I just broke out. I just literally went into this beautiful state of bliss. And um, I was crying and crying of gratitude. And for the first time in my life, I was able to silence things enough that I could hear that inner sense, the inner wisdom that's always there, that we seek, you know, that clarity. And what it told me was, you know, it gave me three things. First was passion, uh, which has always been music that I never followed. So I learned how to DJ, how to produce in a Sofigio frequency, which is what I, you know, do today. It gave me my purpose, which was I can't just keep all of these experiences for myself. I have to share the wisdom. And that's why we do workshops, retreats, and lectures. And then it also gave me my legacy, which is what do I want to leave behind from a place of, you know, what is of the highest good of the whole? How can I just not do business or things for more money, for more power or whatever else, you know, I would seek for? And uh, and that's when I, you know, started our brand and company that all focuses now on health, happiness, and harmony.

SPEAKER_00

So you you've really turned the pain into passion, I can see that. And uh you have you've obviously you've gotten healthier than you once were.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, so so for a long, long time, 100%. It's actually ironically very recent. I went into darkroom again, and I've been there now six times. So I spent over 60 days in darkroom, or you know, accumulatively, and it became my yearly reset. So anytime once a year, I basically go into something that's silent, solitude, just with myself to rebrand and think of what I want, right? From life. And and basically, um, since COVID, the actual darkroom is a very old temple, you know, where it's happening. And molds start growing there. And uh, you know, the the year before I already felt kind of sick and and not that well, but I was able to recover from it. But this last year, when I went in there, I was already very stressed. It was, you know, just not in the right place to begin with. And it wasn't until the end of the dark room, I literally turned the lights on. There was a visible black mold on top of my ceiling the entire time as I'm breathing. And I could not every single day I'm getting sicker and sicker. And I was like, you know, uh, just how do I spiritually get through this, right? Like go back to breath. Like I just thought it was, you know, the the regular um issues that you have, right? Just being in silence and dark room because it's really a consignment, you know, it's like being in a jail if you if you don't turn it around. And uh basically I I have I've ever since then I just had parasites, molt, and and and all of my auto-immune stuff came back. So I've really been spending the last six months, you know, literally healing from something that has given me so much. So, yes, halfway been healthier, but now it's it's it's an interesting thing how it came back.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think it I think that makes an interesting point, you know. Obviously, you mentioned mold earlier on in the interview, and um, you know, how it is pervasive and it's you know pretty much in every other house. And uh, you know, you you obviously were fortunate enough to um overcome some of the health issues that you've experienced, but it's it shows you how quickly you can relapse in a toxic environment.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's it's really and it shows you how you know there is no mastery in anything, right? Life is a constant growth, constant new lessons, new ways to keep on becoming a better person, right? Better version. But I think more than ever, the environments that we live in. I mean, this was one of the main reasons. So the last darkroom, the whole vision that I got, you know, this time was to create this digital summit. And and we uh we call it an Earth 2.0 uh blueprint. And what it is is I wanted to reverse and engineer what goes into this journey through self-transformation on every level, you know, on every major pattern that we experience in life. And, you know, one of the big patterns is environment. So we literally every month we have a different focus point to a different area of our life. So, like first month is physical bodies health, you know, then we go into mental, emotional, relational, environmental, and so and so on. It goes like this. And we bring the most incredible speakers and people and brands uh to be part of this because I think it's time more than ever that we we unite, we use all of these incredible, you know, science and tools and education, but wisely, right? So it's not just skipping from one biohack to another.

SPEAKER_00

Sure. And now I'm curious, what happened to the orange theories? Did you keep them? You still have them? Did you sell them?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I I uh I sold it to private equity uh you know years back, and I then went into the route of more investments and and impact uh brands, and that's kind of what we do today is we we curate and help uh you know incubate different incredible tools that are out there and bringing it to the world. That's incredible.

SPEAKER_00

And what what are some of the events that you're doing now? I know you just mentioned you were just in St. Pete, which obviously is not too far from me, and uh, you know, I'm curious to check out the next one that you do. And what what what are some of the events that you do now?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so what we're known for, it's called the system reset experience, and it's has a dance and meditation. Uh, it's so we're using uh very powerful protocols. We've actually been studied by a group of neuroscientists to prove what we're doing, and it's really primarily focused on first nervous system regulation, so understanding breath, nervous system, like how to really regulate yourself with all of the amazing, you know, studies and rhythms that are already out there. We then bring people into a fun place where we actually first part of the dance is we have a blindfold with silent disco headphones, and all of our experiences have a live, you know, vocalists, instrumentalists, drummers. So it's a full-blown show. Like what we've been pioneering is basically these conscious, you know, transformational parties that are somewhere in between workshop and and almost a rave, so you know, in that sense. And then, you know, we always ended with a variety of meditations, grounding, visualizations. So think of the system reset as a computer. You know, when you hold the power button for two or more seconds, it resets back to baseline. And that's exactly what we're doing into the mental, emotional, physical patterns in our life to get clear what is working, what is not. And then the other part is just like you have a computer that connects to the internet, we are connecting people to the internet. And that happens from shifting the brainwaves from the high, overly thinking beta into alpha, theta, gamma, and beyond. And we measure this. We have our different uh tools, how to actually measure also people's success, coherence, and biofield to understand what is actually happening. And this is why so many people, I mean, we've had over 100,000 people that came to our events over the last, you know, eight, nine years that we've been doing this on literally every continent besides Antarctica. I got back last night from the Necker Island with with Richard Branson, and and that's just like I was like, wow, like where does this work take us? You know, it's really uh unlimited to the amount of people that are waking up in the world to the realization that there's so much more than just give all of our power away.

SPEAKER_00

And with Richard, Richard Branson was at your event. Was he speaking? Was he experiencing? How did he get involved?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so we work a lot with different entrepreneur groups, family offices, uh, you know, YPO type organizations, and they usually hire us for their retreats. Uh, and then we curate a series of different experiences, lectures, activations. And uh that's kind of our our fun point. You know, we love curating inside of an amazing location. So this was at his island. So it was literally at his back backyard and and with about a group of 40 other uh entrepreneurs, uh part of the Maverick mastermind, and it was amazing.

SPEAKER_00

That's incredible. So you're doing like masterminds and putting on, you know, just really bringing some elements to these events that help people, I guess, a reset, right?

SPEAKER_01

You got it, yes. Yeah, basically, you know, in the easiest way to explain it, you know, your mind is the software, just like on a computer, body's the hardware. And when a connected mind directs, you know, ourselves. I mean, we know nowadays, right? We're light beings. We also know that focused attention into water can curate information. And so we're we're using all of the Dr. You know, um Imodo studies, we're using HeartMat Institute studies, we're collaborating also with a lot of different organizations to be able to, you know, really keep on getting closer and closer to the most effective path. And essentially we're teaching practical tools on how to sustain this, how to bring harmony and health and happiness into every part of your life. And we call that the triple H effect uh that happens, you know, from these events.

SPEAKER_00

So we obviously uncovered that stress is a big issue. We've uncovered that environmental toxins are a huge issue. Uh, are there any other lifestyle issues that you see that contribute to this epidemic of chronic illness?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so so I'll tell you a little model. So after all of these trips and travels and learnings, what I've came to a conclusion is that life is actually way more simple than you know, we make it. And this is, by the way, part of the blueprint of the Earth 2.0, where we look at ourselves in a three different ways. So there's the me, the individual uh consciousness. This is you, yourself that you can affect. And that obviously first starts with the physical body, right? So your sleep, nutrition, diet, energy, you know, anything, how to master this uh temple. Then you've got your mental body or your mind, and these are the belief system. You know, more and more I'm seeing this is so important, what you think you become. And, you know, we have to put a pause on this because unleashed monkey mind can really cause a lot of issues in life. And what I like to do is I like to use my mind as a tool, kind of like a billboard. You know, you have a choice to look up or to keep on passing on when you don't need that information. And so continuously really working with these belief systems, what you think about you, what you think about another, especially in your inner mind, big, big portion of disease or illness. The next one is emotional body, you know, part of the individual part. And this is looking back into traumas. You know, what do you feel on an everyday basis? And you know, emotions are viewed as a weakness in the Western cut cultures, and yet they're actually the most powerful superpower to creation, to feeling good. And so the highest state of emotions is happiness, joy. You know, that's what we came here for. But then the lowest state is apathy. And many people think that apathy is that they're good, they've got this. But I'm talking about where you're numb, you know, where you kind of feel like some things are underneath the rug, so to speak. And, you know, in between those, you've got guilt, you've got sorrow, you've got uh jealousy, right? There's all these other, you know, feelings. And so one of the most important things that I find is instead of looking away from them, you know, shine the light at them. And what I mean by that is you start questioning it, you know, why am I feeling this way? How do I, through the breath, feel the right emotion? And how do I let go of whatever that you know pattern keeps on happening? Because it will keep on happening. Everything in life is literally pattern uh-based. And we either recognize the pattern and disrupt it, or we're gonna keep on, you know, doing the same damn thing over and over again. And so, body, mind, emotion, then energy. So there's this higher part of us that many people call intuition or you know, inner sense, sixth sense. And that is actually what's guiding us, you know, into the highest path. But because we're so damn busy in our life, we don't allow it to hear. So this is where meditation, breath, sound healing comes in. So you can shift those brainwaves to reconnect into that, you know, part of you that already knows what's right, the innate intelligence. So this is me, individual. Then I look at the we, which is the collective consciousness, and this goes into our relationships. You know, so many of our relationships are the reflections of us. And what I always say is, you know, we want to create an army of angels that reflect the best of us. And so I always ask, you know, is there anyone in my life that I do not pull the best out of them, or vice versa? And what do I need to do? Communicate or work it out, or maybe sometimes we need to leave that relationship altogether because it it's a huge piece of you know longevity. Um, then you've got your environment, which we've covered, right? Healthy air, clean water, soil, and you know, healthy environment. And then it's also the social structures. You know, we live in this governmental system that has many different ways of looking at it, whether it's the private or public sector. And we go much deeper into this. Uh it's it's not the time for this right now, but that affects us heavily as well. And then the final part of this is the B, which is the supra consciousness. And this is the embodiment. You know, when you look at when you start going into this journey, right, through self-transformation, for most people, it starts with physical health, you know, then mental, then emotional. And it really should be, you know, reversed, but uh for whatever reason, right? We we have to see it before we believe it, uh, especially with our you know monkey mind. And so the beingness, if you think about yourself as a drop in the ocean, we're part of this bigger ecosystem, something greater than us. And this is really, you know, coming back to source or God or or love, you know, many different terms depending on people's beliefs. And that's the embodiment of the third. So, me, we, and be, that's the model, that's the blueprint, and that's kind of where it started for me. How I was able to start taking charge of my own life.

SPEAKER_00

That's incredible, man. Yeah, I'm glad, I'm glad you, you know, have made these connections and have really helped yourself get to a really good spot, you know, both emotionally, mentally. And then, of course, you're working on the physical part now due to the mold exposure. But I think what you said is really important. You know, obviously you gotta have a strong mind. Um, you know, the mind's very powerful, and obviously, you know, uh I think being able to make decisions and decide what you're gonna do and how you're gonna do it, I think is really, really important. And having the clarity of doing that, I think is really, really important. So kudos, man. That's awesome. Obviously, things could have been really bad for you and you decided you were gonna do something about it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's the choice and consequence, right? We all have the the same choices, but if we don't pause, if we don't take time for ourselves, if we, you know, I always say this to people, you know, most people they wake up, right? They they go on their phone, they start scrolling. And as soon as we we do that, we literally tense up, we lose the sense of our breath. And if on top of it, maybe there was a negative email or something that like just disrupts you, right? Imagine that the first thing in the morning when you're the most prompt to any sorts of you know perception, you are right away starting with light anxiety, right? And maybe, I don't know, someone got fired or whatever that that issue might have been that you've that you've seen. And then throughout the day, you have this underlying anxiety and you're like, why do I feel this way? This ickiness, you know? And if this goes for long enough time, I truly believe that it can become depression. It can become darker and darker, you know, I call it a degenerative spiral of thinking and and of our choices. And so this is why, especially first thing in the morning when I wake up, this is by the way, the best way to prevent any burnouts, you start a day for you. You know, maybe you wake up even just 10 minutes before your regular time and you go into silence, solitude. You maybe press play on meditation, breath, maybe gratitude. You visualize the day ahead of you, but you are the one in a driver's seat. You know, you're not being the passenger. And if it doesn't start with you, you know, everything else wraps around everyone else, but you're living your life, nobody else's. And so this is why it's such a crucial first thing in the morning. And then once a week, I take a full day off. Uh, generally, I physically fast, I also digitally fast. And this is the time I go into nature, I go into silence, especially the first half of the day. And then the second half of the day, I have three kids, wife, and and I also connect to them and be being with them because it's such an important piece of uh my life. And once a month, I do the same thing, but for three to four days. And now, you know, what is it kind of reminding you of? Uh, anybody that owns companies, right? There's a there's a goals and there's a plan of action, and we're so good at planning our you know business life or finances, but we're so sometimes behind on us, right? Our physical health, mental health, emotional. So in those moments, I find that you know when the fool gas in and also when to break. And it becomes this like cycle of you know rising high and then coming back into refueling. And this is why once a year, uh on a bigger cycle, I take 10 to 15 days completely off. You know, generally it's it's in darkness, but this could be, you know, cabin, vacation, something that completely disrupts your neuropathway. So you can also shift up from the everyday habits. And this is when you rebrand yourself for the whole year. So this is by the way, uh if you can take something from today, start the day with you, even just 10 minutes. Then you can increase it. But just make that time in a calendar, make that invite, because then you can start hearing, feeling, and coming back into that innate intelligence that knows, you know, what you're supposed to be doing at any point of time.

No, I you know, I I I love how you how spiritual you've become. I think it's really important to, you know, to be spiritual, to have faith. You know, as you said, you you you gave space for everybody to have their own beliefs, which I thought was really cool. You know, I'm I'm the same in that endeavor. I always, you know, I doesn't matter what religion people are, I feel like just being connected to a faith, I think is really, really important because that's really what gives you that positive mindset, you know, and I think in a lot of ways. Um and it's very obvious to me that, you know, you've developed this really positive mindset, which, you know, is is so important and part of this journey, I think, of life. Um, I'm curious. Obviously, you know, coming out of an entrepreneur background, right? You, you know, it's entrepreneurial activities are very tough driven, you know, very, very ambitious around goals setting, as you've pointed out. Um, you know, and so it's easy to get into some traps. And I think you were you were kind of alluding to that, how important it is to take that time to sort of reset yourself. But I'm I'm I'm curious from your perspective, your perspective, what are some of the biggest lies that you've encountered that you've realized are lies?

SPEAKER_01

Well, this could be a whole podcast, but uh uh I mean, whatever it's societal norm, you know. I think one of the biggest lies is that we have to have a formal education, that we have to follow uh, you know, a certain box uh that we're you know boxed into because one of the things that that I've never resonated with was the schooling system. I I literally was not thriving in that at all. And since I started my first company so early, I actually paid my friend to finish high school for me so so I can you know ship the diploma to my dad online and he pretended to be me in those classes because I was so it just wasn't for me. But at the same time, I continue to educate myself with the my own books and workshops and like really driving what actually matters, you know, to me. And that whatever drives you is different from anyone. But without an inspiration, you know, there is lack of motivation. And without lack of motivation, there are no results. And so one of the biggest lies is that we have to follow one path or one way. I actually think we're all 100% different and yet similar, right? We we focus on the commonalities that we have, but then we also understand the differences so that way, you know, there's not one diet for all. And especially I see this because we've been in the biohacking space for you know almost a decade now, how many things that they are and how you can easily overdo it. And even though, you know, hormiosis or or short stresses are good for you, but too much of that is also, you know, doesn't necessarily have to be good for you. So that's one of the biggest things that we have to be so discerned of information. We have to learn how to discern from whatever we're you know inputting and outputting. But in in the biggest kind of uh an over overarching thing of this is we're so much more than we you know realize. And I truly believe that we're being dimmed and damned in that way of of fear, of of you know, not wanting to research more. But the minute that you get out of that wagon of of what we think that is right from societal norm, everything can shift. And you are the powerful creator of every single situation in your life.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, it's well said, you know, we are cause, right? And I think that's really important. You know, you you basically write your own story, do what you want to do. You know, I think it's really important the stories that we do write. What are the stories that we want to leave behind us? What do we want to tell? You know, what do we want to say or do or tell? And I think um it's really important, especially, you know, as a dad, you know, uh how many kids do you have? Three. Three, yeah. So I have two. And so it's like I'm trying to basically, through me being a leader of the family, writing the story of how I want to see the world change, you know, really providing that example for the kids of they're gonna one day write their own story and be a part of the change that they want to see. How do you feel about that?

SPEAKER_01

That's the legacy, right? And I think I feel more than ever the urge to to you know alter that. I mean, my my youngest uh baby, or uh she's two years old, and you know, she's been brought in here completely alternatively, you know, from from natural birth to beautiful ceremonial space to, you know, uh, I mean, my wife swam with the dolphins all the way up until the basically the last day. And uh we just were we're guided that you know, these new kids, especially, they, you know, they they really suffer in in the traditional educational system. And so she's our little experiment to see what happens if we just follow what she is interested in and what she wants to learn. And I think we see this big shift, right, in the world of conscious parenting or you know, hybrid type schools. But I do believe that, I mean, especially with AI, right? Like you there's not many things that you you need anymore. It's really the consciousness expansion. And if we can teach kids how to regulate from early stages, it you know, they won't have to deal with all the anxieties and all the traumas that we had to deal with, right? Because we weren't, uh, we didn't get the tools. And I think the tools are now everywhere, but it's up to us as parents to be the guides in their life uh to help them, you know, find the right tools.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, I couldn't agree more. Pablo, I want to thank you for you know for joining us today and sharing your unique perspective. I think it's you know it's really helpful to think about things and how you can can take control over your life and you know essentially not be a victim, right? Because it's it's very easy to be a victim in this world. We live in a toxic world after all. And so I think it's really important how you make these decisions and how you lead your life, I think makes a huge difference. So really thank you for providing such a unique perspective today. Where can people find you, learn more about your events, etc.?

SPEAKER_01

And it literally starts day one with instant presence, how to be more present and aware. You know, day two it goes into nervous system regulation, exercises, you know, based on the polyregal theory and beyond. And so that's something that I would love to share. If you want to kind of find everything that we do, it's under upperAon.com and it's upper a-o-n.com. And then you can find community, events, and also the products that we uh resell. Awesome.
