While living abroad, Gabby was shocked to see the amount of plastic and pollution that was floating around the oceans and she knew she had to make a change. She combined her passion for nature & her surfer girl style and worked hard to create a travel towel that was made from recycled plastics.
In this episode we sit down with Gabby Samkova, the founder of SomerSide and chat about her sustainable small business which has saved over 100,000 water bottles from entering our oceans. We dive into her experience using the crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, and how she was able to beat her goal and raise over $37,000 in just 30 days!
