When a community's identity is consistently represented through conflict, tragedy, and controversy, the people inside that community face a choice: accept the representation, or build a different one.  Eitan Chitayat built a different one. The "I'm That Jew" campaign invited Jewish people worldwide to claim their own story publicly — and reached 300 million people across social media.  This conversation is about what motivated it, how it was built, and what it suggests about the relationship between personal identity and public narrative at a moment when that relationship feels especially consequential.
