Speaker 1

Man. Welcome to the no Shages Palm Trees podcast. Everybody, I'm your host, mr Royce, aka Royce Bellafonte, aka. My beard does not connect but, bitch, I know somebody who likes it and I'm sitting across from the lovely, the beautiful, the talented, but need a sunshine. How are you doing this week?

Speaker 3

I cannot complain. How about you?

Speaker 1

I'm awesome man, I love this, I love where I'm at in life. So I can't, I can't, I'm not even I have nothing to complain about. I call my parents now and I don't have nothing to say. I just and it's a good thing, it's not like you know, it's from a space of you know, I don't like my parents because I do, but it's just like I have nothing negative going on in my life. I've removed all negativity from my life. Good, so I don't have nothing.

Speaker 3

Change of scenery was something you needed.

Speaker 1

With that and I just have nothing. I refuse to complain, I don't. I don't have anything to talk about, I don't have people to talk about, like I just feel like when I was in that space, I just feel like it was just a negative, it was just a bad, a bad space to be in that decade of just trying to keep tabs on X's, trying to see what other people were doing. Why wasn't I in that space when I feel like I should have been in that space Pretending, like I know people deserve what they deserve and what they don't, and I just don't give a fuck. No more, I just don't care. It's just like whatever.

Speaker 3

I would say you can't put a time table on life. I think we've all been there just feeling like I know, years ago, before we bought a house, just feeling like, dang, all my friends got a house, like when is my time coming? And I really had to learn like their life is destined for them, yours is destined for you and when it's meant to happen, it'll happen.

Speaker 1

That's true, that's true I think we're human.

Speaker 3

We just put a lot of emphasis on, instead of just kind of letting it happen when it's supposed to. Yeah, that's good, though. That's good that you had a good mental clarity and you know you're happy. That's what's up. I love that for you, thank you. Thank you.

Speaker 1

I just for me it's. It was never about the timetable deal. I never gave two shits about the timetable. It is just the fact that some people, you know some people are full of shit and you know of those people and you you understand like you you do the righteous thing. You do right by people you do.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 1

You go to work every day. You don't call out, you don't. But those, the people that call out, the people that don't go to work every day, the people they get promoted, they get they, they move up the ladder, they, you know, they get things that you feel like you've earned.

Speaker 4

Mm, hmm.

Speaker 1

But at the end of the day it's just like fuck them because they're not happy and that's, and that's what I've been on. It's just like, yeah, you got all of this shit, but you're sad. You know, you got the house, you got the car, you got the family, you got the vacations, you got all of this stuff, but you are a sad individual.

Speaker 3

You still don't have that overall happiness.

Speaker 1

Yes, and it's ultimate growth, for sure. It's ultimate growth that I'm experiencing right now is it's a sense of calm, like I'm just like, well, you know, I've been through a whole lot, a lot more than people actually realize, and it's just funny to me that, you know, I was sitting back like man. People will actually get on this app for free, on a free app for free, and tell everything, and I'm just like y'all not tired of that, y'all not tired of hey guys, guess what happened to me.

Speaker 1

This is like you know you don't have any real friends in real life, like y'all just like virtual people all day. Like it's not strange to you, it's not, it's not weird, you don't see how that is. Like you're painting this picture as if life is just so grandiose and I'm just like it's impossible. It's impossible for you to be so happy, go lucky and everything's happened to you good every day, and then when some bad shit does happen, you kind of like you know you skim over that shit.

Speaker 3

Yeah, you know so like no no.

Speaker 1

So, so I want to ask you this though. So I was at work and it's a. It was somebody that is highly irritating to me, and that's your job.

Speaker 3

Yeah, you work with every day.

Speaker 1

Yeah. So I'm just wondering, because this person is married, I wonder, like, how do you feel as the spouse? Who is the one that is with the person that is a bootlicker or is a ass kisser or the?

Speaker 4

snitch.

Speaker 1

Like what? Like how does that person, how does that spouse operate and the day to day, like do you just sit there and support that?

Speaker 3

Or like no, I mean, I know for me, if Jerome came home and he was telling me he was doing XYZ, I'm going to have to have a conversation come to Jesus with him. Like why are you doing that? Why are you stitching on everything? Like, why are you acting like that? Like, come on now.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 3

You better than this. I think you really gotta have like a heart to heart, Like if you coming home and you always telling me that you did this, you know you kissing, kissing bud and no, I'm going to definitely say something about it. I can't have you out here looking like that.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, and that's the stance I'm taking. I think I don't think they see it. I don't think they realize what they're doing is some fuck shit. And I don't think the spouse realizes what they're doing is some fuck shit either, because they are the same on the same queue. So I don't. It's weird to me because, you know, moving down south is like this is the real south. I'm sorry but I know I say it all the time, but down here is everybody say good morning, Everybody's really in a good mood. They ask you how you weekend is and how it was and what you did.

Speaker 3

Right.

Speaker 1

And they, they. There is real like closeness or so, or so it seems. So I just feel like it's different, like when if it's some fuck shit going on, they really don't see that shit. It's just, it's just.

Speaker 3

So they're in there. They're happy bubble of ignorance is bliss.

Awkward Conversations and Sexual Taboos

Speaker 1

Ignorance is bliss, you know, when you don't know some shit's going on, you just like, oh, life is grand, how about you? But yeah, it's just something I was just thinking about. Like yo, that shit's wild to me. They, adam said, they match energy. That's why they spouse is cool, 100%, 100%. Like people is not. They're not genuine anymore when it comes, especially to their spouse, like I've noticed. Like when, when it, when it's their spouse, they'll. They'll go to a coworker or a friend instead of voicing it to their actual spouse. So like if you and I are together and I got you know we're married and I go to my coworker instead of complaining to you or telling you that it's weird. I don't really like that, I don't. I don't understand that either. Like the same thing I say to my coworker, I should be able to say to you To say to you yeah, it's a weird weird, so weird space.

Speaker 3

You say it's not a type people weird.

Speaker 1

Yeah, and it's, and it's really weird now because I like tapped out of the matrix, I'm like detached. I'm just be sitting back like I don't really like people, Like I didn't like them before, but now I'm just like like now it's like I get to a point where I know where the conversation is going when they say certain things Okay, okay. When it starts with a yo man. You seen yo man. You got a. These bitches over here. I'm like I know where this conversation is going. I'm cool.

Speaker 3

So how do you handle that now? Do you shut it off, or you one word answer it, or just let them get their shit off. Yeah.

Speaker 1

Because after a while they feel the energy that I'm giving me. It's not reciprocated.

Speaker 3

Like, oh, he doesn't care yeah.

Speaker 1

Let me call my girlfriend Like I don't give a shit about that, like I'm good, you know what I'm saying yeah. And like no, don't give it, don't get it twisted. I see pretty girls and we see them. They come to the shop, they drive the trucks and they come to the shop and but they lose it. Oh shit, you seen that? I just feel like I mean, she's really older people that you work with are younger. Around my age.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker 1

Yeah, but it doesn't really do it for me. Like, the more a man hypes a woman, she falls lower on the skill. For me, okay, when everybody's like super hyped, oh man, she just that. I'm like, I'm good, you know, it's that, I don't really fuck with that.

Speaker 3

She becomes less desirable.

Speaker 1

Yeah, she could have been a 10 and now she bought like a 6.5. I'm cool, I don't. I don't want it, especially if she's reacting to what you're saying. I definitely don't. I don't find that attractive at all and I have no intentions of approaching that girl, it's just, I just don't find it attractive at all. So do you get upset with Jerome? Does he like pictures, or of certain a particular woman? Or would you fill away if you seen he liked Average, at best on God? Like I'm not messing with that, bro, like no.

Speaker 3

I don't. I mean, at the end of the day, she's still human, he's still got ass. I mean that stuff doesn't bother me.

Speaker 1

So even if it was like completely, like a complete 180 from you, like if it was white skinny girls, skinny white girls, that wouldn't bother you. No, that she was like damn. What you got, oh well he got a search history full of white skinny girls Like what the fuck.

Speaker 8

It's kind of peculiar.

Speaker 1

I can't do anything about being white, like what the fuck I don't know. I think that would fuck me up if my girl was like searching handsome white men or some shit. Like I'm like yo, what the fuck, some shit I can't fix. Like damn Y'all diggers. Wow, I probably ball up in the corner somewhere. Like white, I can't do a fuck thing about being white.

Speaker 4

Shit.

Speaker 1

You ever, you ever caught you? You never caught your spouse. We're not going to say, jerome, we're just going to keep this Broad. You ever caught your spouse or walked in on your spouse doing something like enjoying some me time to himself? Oh, does that does that bother you? With that bother you?

Speaker 3

Um, I probably would be taking a back, like wait a minute. I think it would catch me off guard more than anything. Like it would be a uh, uh, you know, like you know it happens. But like for you to walk in and have this like oh, wait a minute, wait a minute. What's the prepay for this?

Speaker 1

What up Scruff. So so is okay. Next steps. After that You're shocked. You're like, oh God, what's happening?

Speaker 3

Next steps Um, I'll probably just go walk back upstairs because this is going to be awkward. I think I'm just. I'm just. I'm just leave the room. You go back to whatever you're doing over here. I'm just go back upstairs. This is awkward. Like what do you say? How do you continue your conversation after that?

Speaker 1

You going back out like Homer Simpson in the bushes. Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt you. You know, the funny thing about all of this, though, is I'm I guarantee he has a completely different answer for you. That's the ironic thing about it. Like women are, so they're so like and curious, but then they're just like. I'm going to just back away. Like this is not. It's very few, yeah. I don't think we do, we do.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I don't think we do well with awkward situations. We're for the time. It's just like you just left standing there like where do we go from here?

Speaker 1

And and and as quiet as it's kept as in real talk, as quiet as it's kept. Women are not as freaky as they give off. They can talk all the freak, nasty shit they want in the world. It's very seldom that women are as freaky as it. You can be standing there beating off and she will be like, what are you like? Ask you, what are you doing? Like why, why are you doing this right now to yourself? Why are you going so hard? Like? It's very seldom that they come in there and be like, oh, let me watch and let me join and let me do this. They all that shit sound good with their girlfriends. That shit is not fire for them.

Speaker 3

They don't tell you we go ask the most obvious questions and again making the most awkward situation like why will we ask what are you doing? Clearly we can see what is happening. We're so awkward sometimes Like what are you doing?

Emotional Maturity and Communication in Relationships

Speaker 1

Instead of just popping out of titty y'all. Just what is that Like?

Speaker 1

oh like you could assist. You could just be like oh, here you go, like like it's crazy. I just don't understand why it doesn't. It is never joined in. He's Scruff, said my wife said she laughed and helped me out. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. After 10 minutes of jokes you got to get the jokes off. The jokes is, that's the part, that's how you know you're a couple, like when y'all can joke about that shit. That's when you know you're a legit couple.

Speaker 3

You got to be able to joke about that stuff.

Speaker 1

They can up there going blind, like what? You really had your pants at your ankles, like. Then you start analyzing it like damn, why didn't I just get butt ass? Like, why was my shorts at my ankles, me and Thuy just standing up Like ugh, one sock on, one sock off. It's hella slippery in the shower, like I'll tell you. You got to get the jokes off. That's one thing that I've learned being in a relationship a long-term, healthy relationship is that you have to be able to joke. If you can't joke, if you can't laugh, then what the fuck you doing? We laugh like pretty much every time when we do something. We do something sexual, and it's not me, but that's the thing. It's not me. What y'all think it is, it is not me. I'm a jokester and I laugh and I joke.

Speaker 3

I always assumed that it wasn't you.

Speaker 1

It's not me, it's her, it's her, and I be fucking rolling Like yo. Why are you doing that? Like, put your leg, hold your leg. Ayo, get your foot off my forehead. Like what is happening right now, like it's always some random shit going on, some random. And you know it's fun. You're supposed to be like that in relationships. You're supposed to, but for me, again, I don't know where I was going with that. I just felt like talking about that shit.

Speaker 3

But, relationships.

Speaker 1

I feel like they. I feel like that's why they're dying. Because I feel like people. They put too much dubs on just shit. That should be a common human decency thing, like respect and listening and talking and communicating.

Speaker 1

I think people just put too much dubs on the money, the, the, the trips. Like, you can go on these trips and still be bored as hell. You can be not in love, you can be, you can do all these things and still not have it all together. And no relationship does have it all together. But at the very minimum, at the very least, y'all should, you know, have be able to communicate, be on the same same sheet of music.

Speaker 3

There was I don't know if you caught it. This week there was a video that was shared by a man at LA. It was a guy that he he went on TikTok and was explaining how, you know, he just wants to find his person because he had been talking to this girl for like two weeks Straight. They had planned a date. He was at the restaurant waiting for her, flowers, everything, and she stood him up and he was. He got. He got very emotional and you know the world we live in.

Speaker 3

I was just reading the comments. Like people really do not want men to show emotions and it is so mind boggling to me Like they were just in the comments. You know, some people majority of what I saw were like supportive of him, saying you know your person will come. Like he was very upset, like you could tell he was choked up, you know, and he was just he just wants to find love and it's like he's putting forth this effort and then it's just like a smack in the face, like no decency to say, like, literally, she stood him up.

Speaker 3

He was like in the restaurant, sitting at the table waiting, it was just like dang like he was, just it was. It was kind of sad.

Speaker 1

How do you feel about men showing emotion? I think it's healthy.

Speaker 3

I think they should. I think you know, regardless of what majority of society says, like you're human, like a man should be able to show his emotions, period. I just I don't subscribe to the. You know you a punk if you cried a movie or you know you're you're a simp if you express how you're feeling. I don't like all of that. I don't think it's fair to y'all. I think the expectations that y'all are supposed to be tough all the time and that's just it's not fair.

Speaker 1

Yeah, when that was happening, when we were like subscribing to that, y'all are just like we don't have emotions, we don't care, y'all do whatever y'all want and it's just like all right, you know it's, it's again. You can't win for losing to catch 22.

Speaker 3

It's like yeah, what do I do?

Speaker 1

What do I do? But I'm glad to hear that. I'm glad to hear that that you feel like men because you have daughters. So it's good that you feel that way, because a lot of people do not. A lot of people are learning on the fly and this shit is. It's terrible, that sucks, that that happens, but I think it happens. More often than not. I feel like women tend to yeah, is is is pride and story. What is stoicism? Stoicism, I can't read, I'm sorry. Stoic, stoic, stoic.

Speaker 1

I've seen that word before, but I'm going to try it, try it.

Speaker 3

Stoic, stoic.

Speaker 1

Yep, thanks, gruff.

Speaker 3

Oh, that means the endurance of pain or hardships without the display of feelings and without complaint.

Speaker 1

Yes, that's exactly what we, as black men, have to endure on a regular basis, even at work, and it just sucks to come home. And, okay, it sucks to come home and you don't have somebody. Then, anna, sucks to come home when you do have somebody and they don't they yeah, they don't subscribe to that.

Speaker 1

So it's just like what do you do? And then, and then, if you go and cheat, oh my God. Again, I'm not saying cheating is the answer, but if you go and cheat now you are the villain. Stoicism still can't say it, Stoicism.

Speaker 3

Stoicism.

Speaker 1

Stoicism, stoicism, stoic, sizz. What happened so? But yeah, it just sucks, though, like period for people who are in relationships, who are single, who are looking for love. It's just very hard for people to find what they're looking for because there's so much shit going on these days that people don't really like to communicate. They okay, they don't like to communicate, don't know how to communicate, and then they don't have okay. I came up with this, like earlier this week. I feel like people are related emotional maturity to like money or like currency.

Speaker 1

So rich people, you can be emotionally rich and then you can be emotionally broke or poor. There's no middle class, Just like there's no middle class in America there's. I mean, really there isn't one, but they like to make it seem like Right. But you can be emotionally rich or you can be emotionally poor, and then the difference is like the emotionally rich or even the financially rich people like to negotiate. They're good at negotiation, negotiating business deals, negotiating whatever. Emotionally poor or just poor people like to manipulate.

Speaker 1

So then, and I was just like yo I'm low key, I'm wanting something.

Speaker 8

This ain't a meme. This ain't that.

Speaker 1

I'm just like yo, it's true, like when you don't have something, you try to manipulate other people or manipulate what you have. Aka Rob Peter to pay Paul type deal I pay half on this bill, half on this bill, and then I'll have some money left over. Versus learning the art of negotiation, sitting down for a little bit, shutting the fuck up, reading some books, learning the skill set, picking up a side hustle, a side job, whatever the case may be, so you can earn some extra income, stream of income, and negotiate and communicate with people, because it's not what you know, who you know.

Speaker 3

Right.

Speaker 1

And then it goes back to emotions, and this is why the dating pool is so fucked up, because it's more emotionally broke people than there are emotionally rich people who know how to negotiate, communicate and all these other things. So right right, I think a good boy, that's a good way to look at it.

Speaker 3

And I think we're still living in the air, where good guys still are finishing laughs Period.

Speaker 1

What is it about the good guy? Because I've, I've, I've, haven't had that issue Like I've, I've, I don't know. I don't know what the last is.

Speaker 3

He's too nice. Like what is that?

Speaker 1

I mean, you can be too nice, you can.

Speaker 3

But you don't want someone in relationship, like if he's courting you, you don't want him to, or him to go out of his way to kind of make you smile, or but I don't say it.

Speaker 1

But I think there's a difference between courting and being too nice. So, okay, let me, let me see, let me see if I can do this. So, like too nice. You tell me we're talking and I'm like dang man, you so, you so beautiful, you so this, you so that you like boy shut up and I'm just like start crying or I start feeling, I start feeling away. You know what I'm saying. I get emotional or I start that's, that's too nice versus courting you and just saying you're beautiful, and then you like boy shut up and I'm like hi, you know that's crazy and keep the conversation going. Too nice is when we get an argument I just say okay, okay, okay, you're right, okay almost like no backbone.

Speaker 1

Exactly, exactly, and those guys finish last. I understand that. But the idealistic or the ideology behind a nice guy, I don't think they fall behind, I don't think they finish last. Because that's all women want, especially now, at this big old age. Now in the 20s, they wanted the dope boy, coke, dylan, white t-shirt, wearing big rims, you know, wide, full of money and Respected in the streets. They wanted that. Now they want that guy to have invested his money into a business, settled down, got his baby mama's in order. You know it's shit like that.

Speaker 1

I ain't order, yeah gotta have him in order, like playing spades. Gotta have an order. Now Women want, women still want the bad guy like. They want to know he can still go off. They want to know if he can still fight. They want to know these things even though it means absolutely nothing. They just want to know. You know, if you get a concealed carry, there's the women don't know the difference. He has a weapon, got a gun, but with with with drug usage. Though drug usage usage is that a pretty high, high, okay. I seen JT on live, that's that's your girl First off.

Speaker 3

Why you keep saying that that is not my girl?

Speaker 1

that's your girl, I watched Carisha, please.

Speaker 3

I've never been anything involved with JT.

Drugs, Relationships, and Kaepernick

Speaker 1

So you, so you Are only identifying with one half of the city, girls. So you are a biracial.

Speaker 3

All I said was I enjoyed her podcast. It was very entertaining. That's why we draw the line. Ain't no city girl songs in my phone? What I Like that? I just think that she's very entertaining with her podcast.

Speaker 1

That's wow. So you know you don't subscribe to the ideology of birds of a feather flock together.

Speaker 3

What you mean, like and what's that?

Speaker 1

So if she sniffs coke, oh, carisha doesn't oh.

Speaker 3

I'm sure all of them in Hollywood sniff coke.

Speaker 1

No, no, no, no. We're not talking about Hollywood. We're not gonna Generalize Hollywood. We're talking about the black hip-hop community Is known for not. They used to condemn Doing drugs. The tin crack commandments don't get high on your own supply. Yes but now it's cool to sniff coke on lies.

Speaker 3

So tell me the story, what happened? She's like just straight, it's like boom, there it is in the middle of you can hear it.

Speaker 1

She went out of camera, let, bent down and then here and came back up and was like, yeah, you know what? Wait a minute, those you can't did it too. Those you can't did it probably a few months ago, and that shit is just. I Just want to know when, when that why are we celebrating junkies like what, what, what?

Speaker 1

Yeah, I don't need any words for that that shit is nuts to me and and for true scruff you people don't know, to only be with someone that is NT. Yeah, that is true. Yeah, it's true, it's like it's always off, it's always not like an even kill. But yeah, I don't, I don't know. I know like back in a day, you know, when Texas was coming up, the state of Texas was coming up, lean was big. It is a part of a part of Texas culture. That's where we get chopped and screwed music from. That's why it sounds better than it enhances the experience. And I understand that. Ex pills they were the same way. Did you ever do a expo? You never did that. No, ex pills is the same way. They. They enhance everything, like they make you.

Speaker 1

Whoo I'm talking about is what colors bright, vibrant music you can feel it like Shit, it's dope and you can fuck for a long time on that experience crazy crazy. Like what is wrong with me? I'm talking about your pupils. Like you know how's white. You can see the white. That should be all black, no.

Speaker 3

I'm too scared to do any of those kind of thing.

Speaker 1

Whoo that's it, boy, you gotta live. Sometimes you fucking like it's a full-time job, that shit. And not nothing, nowhere near a nut. But she will. The the expo for a woman does something completely different, for like every touch is like Orgasmic borderline. So you just up there stroking, stroking life away, and she just nothing. He's just like, okay, take a break now, just like in the middle of it, just Sit down, sip this water and orange juice. Fucking thirsty, I don't even know where I was, what it would all drugs and um yeah, drugs and hip hop, like it's always been prevalent.

Speaker 1

Um, in the main argument of the, the changing of the garden and hip hop was it was drug dealers rapping. Now it's users that are rapping. And I don't like that argument because, like you said, even in in Hollywood, even in even in music in general, when it was rock and roll now I'm talking about black rock and roll They've always used coke. Um, some of the the best music comes from users, from junkies. But now with this, this fentanyl shit, and With you don't know where these drugs are coming from right at least back in the day, you, you knew when your shit was coming from.

Speaker 1

You had an idea. You may not have known, but you had an idea. You knew when some shit was stepped on versus. You can't even tell. You can't even tell, like what's in this right so I don't know. I Dated somebody who was on that and it's just weird. It's a weird. It's weird when you're vibing and you're drinking and you see somebody lean down and sniff and come back up like yeah, that's fucking good, like whoa.

Speaker 3

Whoa.

Speaker 1

Whoa, we are not gonna fast forward past that, you just did right. Right and I and you got it. It's the weirdest thing, because you got to be cool, you got to be like Whoo. Fucking awkward.

Speaker 3

Yeah, that's A lot weird we just sitting here chilling. Are you sniffing on my table?

Speaker 1

Listen, I've dated witches, literal witches. I've dated hood girls. I did but a fucking coke head, powder head. That shit is fucking trippy Trippy. You just be chilling. Yeah, you know, finish all this movie. I yeah, whoa was that?

Speaker 3

was that a bit of a deal breaker for you?

Sports Updates and Personal Anecdotes

Speaker 1

I didn't know it was so much shock, I was just like, yeah, so that's how I feel right now. So when women Get sexually assaulted or Something like that happens, I understand where they're coming from, why it's like an awkwardness, like a awkward. It's like whoa, whoa. What's just happened here? I don't know. It's like your initial, your initial response to some shit. So for me it was like NFL teams Reportedly make final decision on Kaepernick. They still fucking with Kaepernick. I don't know why. He's like 40 years old, any.

Speaker 3

I don't think so. I think he's around our age, or maybe younger. I thought if he's around our age, he's 40 you can't make it in NFL at that age, brother.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's, that's crazy. Let me see what they say. Yeah, he hasn't played in the league since 2006 and a comeback will be shot in that long. I mean not 2006, 2000, 2016.

Speaker 3

I'm sorry but still it's been that long.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's been a while.

Speaker 3

So there is just one of them fluff pieces.

Speaker 1

Somebody row, but um you, you got NFL team. You would a NFL team. I mean I say I like the Cowboys, but I don't really, I don't.

Speaker 3

Follow that. I catch it every now and then, but Okay, if you ask me.

Speaker 1

I'll be like, yeah, the.

Speaker 3

Cowboys, that's my team. Oh Okay, cuz you're there, right.

Speaker 1

Yeah, okay, Okay, let's make sure. Yeah, I couldn't make up my own mind.

Speaker 3

Shut up Well you even say let me get catch you at the go. Got you got. You didn't know what would you have for that. You had something for that, right, what's?

Speaker 1

the name Magic Johnson. Oh yeah, thank you. Um, so Magic Johnson has become one of the co-owners of the World Cup.

Speaker 3

Oh yeah, thank you. Um so, magic Johnson has become one of the co-owners of the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 1

Hey salute.

Speaker 3

Oh, that's a big deal.

Speaker 1

Is it just him?

Speaker 3

No, it was him. Let me look it up. I remember a couple of other people.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I thought it was like another famous Black person that was going, I think, did he.

Speaker 3

No, it wasn't, did he? Um, let me see. Let me see. Among hair seam a partner to help him fund the 6.05 Billion to purchase. The organization is Magic Johnson, who has experience in owning and investing in sports franchises after a successful Hall of Fame career in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers, so it looks like he teamed up with Josh Harris.

Speaker 1

All right, salute to that man. That's dope. I saw J Cole is a minority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. Yeah or hornet. So whatever they call, I don't keep up with them niggas, with Harrison magic at the forefront.

Speaker 3

They hope to build a culture quite different from the one Snyder built and inherited. As the commander seek their first Super Bowl in over 30 years.

Speaker 1

Yep, so super cool.

Speaker 3

How that pans out.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I guess that'll be interesting for Virginia. Maybe it's a more common, more money will come that way. That'd be dope, be really dope, and they can move that shit closer to Virginia versus. Right right but if Virginia smart, I would, I would commandeer that team, I would just make them move to Virginia.

Speaker 3

We already have this, the training camp.

Speaker 1

That's what I'm saying. Just move here, just yeah.

Speaker 3

Because Virginia needs the infrastructure Honestly yeah, I don't know if you you probably haven't heard, but they have the casino back on the ballot.

Speaker 1

Yeah, they've been off and on about that shit. Like Y'all, they need the casino their person.

Speaker 3

That again I think they said it would create like 13,000 jobs.

Speaker 1

So we'll see if that pans out again or if they already got one in a port mouth. Ports mouth, they. It's open that that thing. Nice, my parents went before they left.

Speaker 3

Confession I've never been to a casino, but I would love to go to work.

Speaker 1

Really you still ain't been to Rosie's. You gotta go ahead. Go get out the house now I would.

Speaker 3

I'll go play the little slot machines. I don't like to keep losing, so maybe that's why I ain't been yet. Be like, oh, I took this, take this quarter. I.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's all you gotta do.

Speaker 3

It's an experience, you know yeah, I do want, I do want to go have the experience and gamble, then you know yeah, legit one on the East Coast, delaware.

Speaker 1

Delaware has legit one.

Speaker 3

My mom is alive. Oh, marilyn live, uh, yeah your key is a casino head. Delaware is what her go-to spot.

Speaker 1

Yeah, Delaware is lit. It's fucking lit. Delaware and then Atlantic City. I don't know about Marilyn, just because I don't know if they're 24 hours. I don't know if they serve you liquor.

Speaker 3

What did we go when we went to? To whatever trip we went on, we saw Marilyn live. It was close to where we were staying and it's just Gidormous.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's big.

Speaker 3

It's just huge. The parking, the parking deck, was confusing as hell. Like everything was just Huge. It was just like, oh my gosh, the flash of lights. You know it makes it so inviting. Yeah but yeah, I've never been to a casino. That's all my list of things to do.

Speaker 1

You need to go. You need to go ahead. Go now shoot. Come on now. Which way? No, now, come on now shoot. But if anything, go to Vegas for your first experience. Yeah, so you can get an understanding cuz the Casinos around in, around and in Virginia are not casino casinos. There they only have slot machines, or they don't. They don't serve you A liquor while you play cuz in Vegas. That's what's supposed to happen. You get free liquor, liquor and beers. Yeah.

Speaker 1

Okay you put a, put a quarter in there and you get unlimited drinks. Like that's the way it's supposed to be. Okay, but in Virginia is no, you got to go to the bar.

Speaker 3

Show your ID card. Work on everything. Yeah, Keeping it on sports. Lebron James son brawny, suffered studying cardiac arrest While working out.

Speaker 1

I heard about it.

Speaker 3

They did to go to USC.

Speaker 1

Yeah, right, yeah, I heard he was working out at USC.

Speaker 3

Yeah, he was working out and he went into cardiac arrest. They rushed him to the hospital. I think I read that he was alert and everything. He's home now, but that that's scary yeah for sure sure like to be. What is he like, 18?

Speaker 1

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3

So yeah, pray us for him.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I wonder what this does for the bronze psyche. Like I feel like he's about to retire because I would like I would retire after hearing that my son, my, my belief, that's his oldest Mm-hmm Just slipped into cardiac arrest. Nah bro, I'm about a deuces, la deuces. I'm the greatest. Suck my dick. I'm out like I'm not finna, do that?

Speaker 3

You know he would go down if he were to leave today. He's done great things. You know it's not like is. I don't feel like he's. He's got a. Oh, he's got so much left that he needs to do you? Know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1

He's always a fucking thing, this is the same, the same reason why we don't know what happened. We were not owed that information. So I Prayers to his family. That's, that's scary that's scary scary.

Speaker 3

For sure scary. And then did you see that Tori Kelly is in hospital. See the singer, the very soulful singer, tori Kelly. She, she ended up having Believe it was a blood clots around her vital organs. Oh so she's been in the hospital. She was an ICU you. She was rushed to the hospital and this was almost a week ago. She was rushed to the house hospital, was in ICU being treated for blood, blood clots around her vital organs.

Speaker 1

Oh, the white girl Okay.

Speaker 3

Yeah, so they had discovered clots in her legs and lungs and were determined at the time as she had any around her heart.

Speaker 1

Damn, that's crazy.

Speaker 3

She passed out during a dinner with friends in LA and she was rushed to the hospital, and that's what they found.

Speaker 1

Thoughts and prayers, man, that's. That's crazy. I didn't yeah, didn't even know that was going on.

Speaker 4

Like you, just never know with people.

Speaker 1

Life is just one of them things, and that's what I'm telling you. You need to go ahead. You and Jerome do some freaky, nasty shit. Let him show off to you how he kisses and you know what's not spoken about a lot. So first, you need to, you need to watch him do his thing. Second, you need to go to a casino.

Speaker 3

Okay sir.

Speaker 1

No, I will get to third later, but you know what's not talked about enough is like women's grip. Women love to tell you how you can't eat a vagina. Like you, you're missing a clip. Yeah, that, that, that, that that. But y'all grip be like hey, yeah, I gotta y'all gotta, work on that shit. That little grip is trash. Like what the fuck? Like what are y'all holding on to? Some of y'all be too light. That should be ninja gripped like what the fuck? I know your hand indentions is on my dick now. Like what is happening? I'm pretty sure forensic can come in there and like dust my dick for fingerprints. Like what is it why? It's some good fingerprints. You ever got your fingerprints taken? They be like oh, some good for you guys, some good prints. Like shut the fuck up. They always tell me that.

Speaker 3

What does that even mean? I?

Speaker 1

Feel like, because I'm black. I feel like, because I'm black, that I'll be an ideal Criminal to catch because of fingerprints because of your fingerprints are so great. Yeah, I didn't know that was a thing.

Speaker 3

Who knew?

Speaker 1

Fucking nuts man, cardi B. Cardi B was at a concert in Vegas and Somebody threw a cup of water at her and she nicely returned the microphone to their forehead. I Don't know what this new trend is of audience members throwing items, throwing cell phones, throwing shoes, purses, brawls. I don't know what's going on. Maybe Maybe we're, I don't know. I've never paid for somebody to go see somebody, just to.

Speaker 4

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1

I Don't zap them like I'm not. I don't want to do that.

Speaker 3

And why this has become trendy. I think the first thing. Now we know it's happening, but the first thing that started it all was that I forget her name. I don't. I don't even know what kind of music she performs, but she had a cell phone chucked at her and she ended up like getting stitches in her face. She had a black eye and everything damn she didn't.

Speaker 1

She ain't even duck. She's a that shit.

Speaker 3

She had a black eye. She had to get stitches in her nose. Like I don't understand why people are doing this. I'm someone through a loved ones ashes on the stage when pink was performing. I Think it was pink.

Speaker 1

Oh, she still performs last Time. That's like saying Fergie was out there doing some shit.

Speaker 3

Wow she was left speechless as a fan throws her mother's ashes on stage, like why are we doing this? We're throwing ashes. You're at a concert, you go throw your Jordan, so now you got to walk around with one shoe the rest of the show. Like when it's time to go home.

Speaker 1

It's a good little story to tell right there a whole purse.

Speaker 3

You go through your whole purse on stage to drink with the hopes that he'll return it to you. That's what you're doing, thinking that you're gonna throw it up there and they're gonna get it back to you.

Speaker 1

Well, the lady that threw her G cup bra on stage is now being approached by a playboy, so have you seen her?

Speaker 3

She looks like she would be jerk site. She looks like his child's mother.

Speaker 1

What do you mean?

Speaker 3

looks like it's tight do tell have you seen his child's mother? That's what she looks like what does she look like?

Speaker 1

Drake is an other. Like what?

Speaker 3

I did not hear. I heard that she came forward and said it was her bra, but I did not hear that she was approached by playboy.

Speaker 1

Yes.

Speaker 3

You know, playboy was still putting our magazines.

Speaker 1

I Don't know they put now magazine. You know they got digital magazines.

Speaker 3

Oh, okay.

Speaker 1

First of all. So this is Drake's Baby mom, let me see this Boom. And boom. So you're telling me this lady. It's looks like her. Yes, so there's similar. That's very similar. Let's see.

Speaker 3

Very similar.

Speaker 1

Woman throws bra. Mm-hmm bra On stage. Drake, let's see this lady. Images 36 G. That's a big-ass tit, first of all, and you are saying this woman similarity.

Cardi B, Offset, Quavo, and Grief

Speaker 3

This you look like it's the height of a woman like that. Nope.

Speaker 1

It's nothing similar except their skin tone. Black people like when they confuse us. I look like unseasoned chicken to me.

Speaker 4

Which mean.

Speaker 1

Hey, but stop throwing stuff at these people. Man like I, at the end of the day, I don't understand what this does, but you look really ridiculous or you go in the black.

Speaker 3

The girl that got like Cardi B had perfect aim In her ass with that microphone fucking ninja, they got her up out of there fucking. Why did you think that was a good idea?

Speaker 1

Didn't up first of all.

Speaker 3

You know, like artists no, no, no.

Speaker 1

This is this the thing, though we there's a history of, of this shit. So Cardi B was performing in Starlet's, and that's the strip club in New York, and Is it? It's not. What's her husband name? It's not all set.

Speaker 1

It's offset, offset. I'm sorry, mr Offset, but offset, somebody had Squirted. They shook up a champagne bottle and, like, sprayed Cardi while she was performing, offset, in an elegant manner, rose up on the stage and descended upon the gentleman who shook the champagne bottle and slapped him with great fire and vigor and I applaud that. I love that type of energy. Like, don't fuck with my lady, I'm not with none of that shit. Because why, why is this happening right now?

Speaker 3

Right, but.

Speaker 1

I don't know why people don't think they can't get touched, can't?

Speaker 3

yeah, I don't. I don't know how we got to this era of the Rousseff of stage.

Speaker 1

Hey, it is what it is. I was speaking of Cardi and offset. Have you heard their song?

Speaker 3

I have not. Well, I read the lyrics, but I haven't heard the whole song.

Speaker 1

You read the lyrics.

Speaker 3

I only read some of the lyrics. Wait a minute. Somebody was on Facebook asking about a line so I went to Lyric genius to see, like what she was talking about.

Speaker 4

Oh.

Speaker 3

Because somebody had put up a Facebook asking a question, someone I know okay, cuz.

Speaker 1

I read that that means I read the lyrics in the what.

Speaker 3

Someone was asking what she was saying in the in the song.

Speaker 1

Oh okay.

Speaker 3

I have any ideas to see if I could be of assistance.

Speaker 1

He just randomly on new song. I'll let me read the lyrics like what you want to just listen to it first. It's I don't it's called jealousy.

Speaker 3

Didn't they take? They took a spin on that little, the last little I don't know what to call it little tiff that they had online. Is that what they did?

Speaker 1

Oh, when the cheating deal.

Speaker 3

Yeah, the last recent one where he's allegedly tweeted something or posted something about her. Yeah, ignore that man.

Speaker 1

Yeah whatever have you, and they took it because what I do, I do like this, this, this energy, because how else do you address something like this that was brought to the public, that shouldn't have been public? There's no better way to address it than making a song about it and and yeah, and it's, it's, it works, and and Offset is fucking rapping, rapping like the shit is People were saying like he really, he really gave it his all.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it was fire, fire, but check that out for sure. Cardi, cardi, you know, cardi does this, does what she does.

Speaker 3

Speaking of me, go um Quavo recently did an interview and which he stated that pretty much you know he, he was reflecting on the passing of takeoff and he did say that you know some, he cries himself to sleep some nights. So that's, you know, that's gotta be a lot for him. He was there when it happened. You know that's his nephew. You know, sometimes your nieces and nephews are like your kids, so you know he was very vulnerable back to what we were and he was very vulnerable and talking about you know what what that has has done to him. Just crazy man.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you have you. You haven't lost anyone close to you, right? Hello, All right experiencing technical difficulties? Let's go.

Speaker 2

It's so different in person cardiac firms. I can see why she nervous Because I'm different detergent. I'm sick of the nurses my work out the current. I'm just. I didn't hurt my bitch, my name, that she number one trend and I did your service. Let's keep it a being, let's keep it a buck fatter. And they can either be suck all of my obstacles running, they jab stomach too big and need to be tongue All of that crime be keeping me Yo what.

Speaker 3

I know what my computer decided to do.

Speaker 1

Ha, ha ha, and we are back Can you hear me?

Speaker 3

Yes, oh wait. It says you're muted.

Speaker 1

Oh, let me see, we are back people.

Speaker 3

I don't know what my computer decided to do. It decided to just kick me off the internet and then tell me something went wrong. Sorry, Beth.

Speaker 1

Oh, it says it goodie.

Speaker 3

You were asking oh, I've lost aunts and uncles, but nothing really closer than that outside of a grandparent, yeah, and I know that's a different kind of pain the closer they are to you.

Speaker 1

So yeah, it's just interesting to. It's good to hear that from Quavo. It's good to hear that, and even I think I don't know when he gave that speech or that statement because he was just recently robbed on a yacht.

Speaker 3

Yes, yes, I did see that, yeah so he's dealing with a lot.

Speaker 1

So I don't know, it's just prayers out to him, man, it's just legit prayers.

Speaker 3

Yeah, because he did say pretty much. If you see me out and smiling, that doesn't mean that I'm not still thinking about him. Or because people assume, oh god, she must be OK. His life went on, but people don't know. You've got to find the strength to push through. Just because you're smiling doesn't mean that you don't have hurt underneath that smile.

Speaker 1

So yeah, 100%, and you're speaking from experience. People tend to believe Hold on a minute, shit. You trying to get my computer restarted, uh-oh. People tend to believe that your life is just going on and you're living life without any concern with them, but that's not the case. That's not true.

Speaker 3

It's got you. I can't hear you. We can't hear me. Now say you're muted.

Speaker 1

Can you hear me now? Yep, oh OK. Yes, it's not true. Like most people, they have this idea that you're just going on with life and everything is hunky dory and it's not the easiest thing to deal with, it's not the easiest thing to go through, but at the same time you just life goes on. You can't stop living, you can't stop doing what you are destined or put on this earth to do, and whomever you may have lost, just know that it does not get easier. It does not.

Speaker 1

You know how can I put this. You just learn how to deal with it, more so than to live with it, more so than to that. You get over it or you move past it. So I'm glad Quavo has brought this to the forefront and I'm glad Quavo is being kind of like an ambassador for this, because this isn't something that takes place without a family or someone around you to support you, because it's not something that you can just do on your own. It's not easy and you're not the only one going through it. That's the other part. So, is it grief? It's just like whoa. It's a terrible terrible question.

Speaker 3

It's just in waves. It's very up and down. It's one minute. You're good one minute. You know it's something you see that reminds you of that person. It's very unpredictable.

Friendship and Communication Expectations

Speaker 1

Yeah, for sure, 100%. All that sound is gravel sending these text messages.

Speaker 3

I can't hear it. I can see it above my phone, but I can't hear it on your end.

Speaker 1

She is going off man. Yeah, she's super hyped because we did do the two ill chicks and no shade. It's funny but sorry about that. But yeah, grief is wild man. It's a wild thing to experience. I don't subscribe to God gives all his battles to his strongest soldiers and I don't subscribe to that. I just feel like life be life and you got to deal with it and how you deal with it is how you deal with it. And maybe that is how you deal with it by putting it on God or saying God is making you stronger through this. But I don't believe a lot of it, you know.

Speaker 1

I just got because it's stuff don't make sense. A lot of it just don't make sense. It just doesn't. So I wanted to ask you, like, what type of English is being taught? And I asked this question because I was sitting at work and I was talking to a co-worker on a break and he was asking me we're not just me, just people in general like, can dogs learn Spanish? And At the time I didn't think about it, I was just like, like, like, and another co-worker of mine was like yeah, they, they can learn Spanish, they know other languages. And I Just want to know, like, how do you feel about the type of English that's being taught to Micah in school? Is there a proper? Do you feel like she's learning proper English? Do you feel like she should be learning the English utilized in businesses, the English utilized with her friends, the English utilize that you utilize, like, because so many different dialects right, I was gonna say it's hard to say which one, I feel like, because you're probably gonna use each one in a different setting more than likely.

Speaker 3

So it just, it just depends. It's hard to say because it's different. All you know what I'm saying. It's like different all over the board. It's different.

Speaker 3

You know, the way I talk to you is not how we get in an interview, it's all you know, Like, the way I'm talking to you is not how I would necessarily talk to my Somebody at my job, like a CEO or a VP of a department, um. So I think it's important to kind of have a sprinkle, that's a sprinkle of each, so that you know how to use it and what setting you know you need to use it in facts, that's facts for that. I'm trying to get back on my computer, so if you see two of me, I'm, the other one is gonna leave.

Speaker 1

Okay, what we'll do? Story time when you get back.

Speaker 4

Okay.

Speaker 3

And we're back. All right. I'm ready for story time.

Speaker 1

Hey, one time, for the one time, story time beneath the sunshine. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, let's go, huh, let's go, let's go, let's go. Huh, come on to my mind, huh Ha ha, ha, hey, let's go, huh, let's go, let's go, huh.

Speaker 5

Come on to my mind huh, hey, hey, hey, hey, you want some.

Speaker 3

Am I the asshole for being upset at my close friend after she dropped off flowers for my birthday? So I am a 25-year-old female that threw a birthday party and invited all of my friends, one of them, my close friend, Rachel. About a month in advance, Rachel confirmed she was excited to be attending and confirmed again the day before that she was still coming to celebrate my 25th. The celebration started at 7 pm and almost everyone is here after an hour except Rachel, who said she was running late. No worries, Around 9 o'clock, when we were about to cut the cake, she shows up at the door. I hug her and give her a surprise birthday gift. For her.

Speaker 3

Her birthday was a week prior and she went out of town and say how excited I was. She made it. I was a bit stunned, since she was in high heels, club outfit, full makeup on. She hands me a bouquet of flowers, says happy birthday and then says she won't be actually joining since there's an event at the club a few blocks down. She wanted to check out. Also, her ex was in town and she said she wanted to club with him.

Speaker 3

Everyone inside we all know each other one way or another was kind of thrown off by this, as she didn't even step in to say hi to anyone else and left after a brief exchange. I brushed it off in the moment but was so hurt so I confronted her in the morning. I found out the club event didn't even open doors until 11 and I checked her location, which we share, that she didn't leave her apartment until 11, with a few insta stories of her pre-gaming with her friends in her apartment around 10.30. We live five minutes away from each other and the club is a few blocks down, so it's not like she has some huge commute to rush to. I told her how hurt I was and why she couldn't even step in for 30 minutes, considering the party started at 7 pm and her excuse for not attending didn't even start until 10.30 or 11.

Speaker 3

I wouldn't mind at all if she had given me a heads up that her plans changed instead of making things awkward in front of all my guests. But she literally confirmed she was attending the day before. She just brushed off my concerns and said that people have different priorities and how I should appreciate her gesture to stop by to drop off flowers. After this, I told her clearly we aren't as close as I thought and distance myself from her. She reaches out and wants to make up but is adamant she did nothing wrong. A few mutual friends think I overreacted and it was a thoughtful gesture, but others think she was selfish and inconsiderate of an important event of a close friend. Am I the asshole?

Speaker 1

Oh, that's interesting. I just always find it interesting how women view friendships and relationships and how much dubs they put on certain things and it's just like so you can't have a life outside of your birthday. Like I'm confused, like I don't understand why you're so like concerned about what your friend, where your friend is, when your friend is there, where you live in proximity to the club, like none of that shit fucking matters. I don't wanna fucking be there. I showed up, I gave you your flowers, literally, and you're still pissed about this, like I don't. And now you're checking my stories. We're not even together. Like we don't date. We don't sleep together. My ex is in town. I'm going to go kick it with him. I don't give a fuck about this. Yes, I confirmed and then my plans changed.

Speaker 3

I think that was probably the point that did it for the friend. Like you could have at least just told me that you wouldn't be attending. You know I had the expectation you were coming. I'm excited for you to be there. You know you're my close friend. We're celebrating a milestone and you just peace out on me.

Speaker 3

But you're right when you say it is a difference in the state that men put in friendships as opposed to females, because stuff like that y'all don't put. It's like, okay, he ain't come, whatever. On to the next. I'm gonna have fun with the people that are here, but for us it's just like oh, so slap in the face, cause how dare you, as my close friend now, show up to my birthday but you go to the freaking club.

Speaker 1

Y'all will stop that whole party Just to let me go see what she's going like, what my whole night is ruined because my friend didn't show up. I don't understand why she would do something like that. She RSVP don't RSVP if you ain't gonna be there. Like if you knew this. Like shut the fuck up. Enjoy your birthday.

Speaker 3

That is legit how we are, like we are offended with situations like that.

Speaker 1

Niggas really be having lives and real shit going on and y'all be crying about you go to the club.

Speaker 3

It's not real shit going on.

Speaker 1

But here's the thing though if it's literally not that far from your house, why not just pick up the party and go to the club with her, If it was that big of a deal?

Speaker 3

Maybe the friend don't like the club.

Speaker 1

I just don't know what to say. Okay, you don't like the club, that's great. Stop watching me. Like, just stop. Don't look at my location, don't look at my Insta story, don't ask me questions. No, I'm not coming in and speaking to your dusty ass guests. I don't give a shit.

Speaker 3

I think what it boils down to is a lot of people, like real talk, have different definitions of what a friendship should be, and I think that's why it creates situations like this, because people are not on the same page of how a friend should conduct themselves, for lack of better word. And I think that's where the issues come in, because in her instance, she's putting in all this steak and she's feeling like this is my close friend while she's not here, whereas the other friend doesn't see anything wrong, like I came, I gave you flowers, I said happy birthday and then I went on about my business. So I think a lot of friendship debacle stem from people like viewing the friendship in different ways, if that makes sense.

Speaker 1

That is. I can see that. But I also see the issue of what we were talking about earlier. Instead of you addressing this shit with your friend, you comes into the internet. Oh, I waited till the next day to come in. Everybody asked why are you still? She said she don't feel away. You feel away, the day is over.

Speaker 1

Clearly, you didn't address this shit when she came to the door and told you to your face I'm not coming, here's the flowers, have a great night. I'm going to the club. And you stood there with poo on your face Instead of just saying, hey, I feel away about this, that, that, that, that, that, that. No, you didn't do that. You waited. You got everybody else's opinion. How do you think I should feel about the way she's treating me? Like what the fuck? Like what is that? Oh, you go back to. Oh, y'all won't believe what she did. She going to the club and then Like women is just so much when this all could be avoided. It's not a big issue, just let it go. If that was me, I'd be like oh shit, you going to the club, bro. Like, hey, we'd probably be down there in the next hour and a half. Like, after we finished this dinner, we're going to roll down there. Some of us going to roll down there Period. Is that cool with you?

Speaker 3

Right.

Speaker 1

But y'all. Just, I don't even. I ain't even dressed for the club. I don't even like clubs. Why can't we just go to the lounge? I don't feel like it. My husband is over here, my boyfriend's over there, it's all this shit. Just oh, my fuck, just be okay with shit sometimes. Just oh, enjoy dinner, that's it. That's all you have to say. Hey girl, I feel you Enjoy. I know shit happens.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 1

But no, no, what should I do? Am I the asshole? Well, yes, you came to the internet. Yes, you are the asshole. Like leave that girl alone. Like what the fuck Making people feel bad.

Speaker 3

So yeah, that's the story, it's how it's done.

Speaker 1

Shit is terrible, man. People are terrible. They'd love to guilt you into some shit that they are feeling or dealing with, Like what the fuck?

Speaker 3

For sure, for sure.

Speaker 1

I'm having a bad week, so you going to have a bad week. The next motherfucker that say something to me Is that like what. Why don't you just go in under a rock or some shit and just deal with that? Stop making other people feel this shit. That is wow.

Speaker 3

It's true.

BET Plus Shows and Upcoming Releases

Speaker 1

Women, just boy, it gave me all that shit. Shit could be going perfectly fine. Oh my God, did you act like? These are your sauces? You can't give me an extra sauce. No bitch, it's a company policy. We have to charge you for extra sauce, like what the fuck? This is ridiculous that anybody else give me a listen. It's just so much, always so much, like yo. So anyway, are you an Airbnb or are you a hotel?

Speaker 3

I'm not a seller. I've never stayed in an Airbnb. No, I've never stayed in an Airbnb. So before the year, I'm not opposed to it For the year. I'm not opposed to it.

Speaker 1

How many you at some point to stay in an Airbnb?

Speaker 3

Yeah, I'm not opposed to it, I'm just yeah we will revisit this conversation.

Speaker 1

OK and then we'll have.

Speaker 3

I'm on it.

Speaker 1

Yes, we need you to throw an Airbnb bash or something like that.

Speaker 3

Like come on, I got you, come on.

Speaker 1

Did you see Kevin Hart's new stand up?

Speaker 3

I did not Jesus.

Speaker 4

Is it good?

Speaker 1

It's very good. It's very good. Kevin Hart is back. It shits on Peacock. Hilarious Beginning to end.

Speaker 3

OK.

Speaker 1

What was the show? You was to average Joe on D&T Plus.

Speaker 3

So if y'all haven't checked that out, it's a really good show. Deion Cole is in a serious role. He is playing the son of a man who has passed and he's he. He's basically stolen I don't know if stolen is the right word. Basically, there's $10 million that the Russians are trying to find as a result of Deion Cole's character's dad. So, it's, it's a good show. Apparently, it is based on a true story, oddly enough. So they are six episodes in episodes drop on Thursdays and it's, it's really good.

Speaker 1

So it's dead.

Speaker 3

I'm going to pull it up for you. Have some money.

Speaker 3

Yeah, his dad. Look, I want to be loud and wrong, so I'm going to tell you right now the description of it. Let me tell you what it's it's about. So, average Joe, where's it at? Blue collar plumber Joe Washington is jolted out of his everyday life when he learns his late father stole millions from dangerous people who want their money back or else. So he goes through trying to find this money dealing with the Russians. It's good, it is a good, it is a good show. I will say OK, ok, all right, I like it. I didn't know it. First I was like, is this good or is it corny? But it's progressively gotten really good. So, I'm sorry, seven episodes in.

Speaker 1

Oh seven.

Speaker 3

We are seven episodes in Yep.

Speaker 1

What is it? Eight or 10 total?

Speaker 3

It does not say on BT Plus, it just drops every Thursday. It doesn't say how many episodes.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's the one thing I hate about BT Plus, like their shows.

Speaker 3

You like? How many more?

Speaker 1

They'll just hit you like some. Some of them shows be like 20 episodes, some of them be 10, some of them be six. I'm like what the fuck?

Speaker 3

Like what is happening.

Speaker 1

There's no structure like BT Plus and BT Plus got all the Queens man that came back. That's your fire, fuck.

Speaker 3

I saw that that's all. Now I also. It has 10 episodes. Ok, so we're seven, and so there's three more. I also watched a show called Angel on BT Plus. I played enough. That was only three episodes. It was the weirdest thing. Like it was a really good show, but it was only three episodes and I'm like OK, so now what?

Speaker 1

Where are we at who's an?

Speaker 3

Is honey, say name, see Sayah.

Speaker 4

Sayah she is she was on.

Speaker 3

She was on one of those rap shows I forget which one. You'll you and no where if you saw her.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 3

Um, she's, yeah, she's a rapper. Oh, she signed in 2012. She signed with tanks R&B money label imprint. She started in the oxygen reality TV series sisterhood of hip hop.

Speaker 1

Oh, okay, okay.

Speaker 3

So she's in it. Um, that was good but, like I said, it was only three episodes, so it's like you've seen this girl before.

Speaker 1

Oops, I don't know her.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I don't know her. I've never seen her.

Speaker 3

Yeah, so that was, but I've been kind of peeking through BET plus to see what else is on there that I may want to watch.

Speaker 1

Yeah, they got a whole bunch of stuff.

Speaker 3

I do want to watch love Mary Keele. That's another series. Um, that looked interesting when I saw like previews of show coming up, so I may check that out next. Okay, but yeah, bt plus is fire man.

Speaker 1

They got family business. I'm still waiting for that to come back. That's like season three or four I'm waiting on. Uh, well, now I got all the Queens men, that's back. That's just fires on season three. Um, miss Pat, I'm waiting for that to come back. Uh, and it's something else. I think that I watch the Hamptons, the black Hamptons or BET plus. I don't even know if that's coming back, but they, they left on a cliffhanger and that shit is just fucking nuts. But black BT plus is like an upscale. There's a step up from uh, like store brand, to be like all the stuff, from to be like if you got a little money you go to BT plus, to be as, like you know, store brand. And not all store brand is bad to be right now, cause to be got a new movie coming with, like DC young fly TI.

Speaker 3

What's the name of it? Somebody?

Speaker 1

else, something like against the game or something. I know TI got a movie called the departments coming out. It's like the apartments, but, um, I forget what this move. This movie looks serious, though, like they were like all wearing suits and shit.

Speaker 3

Not the DHL man walking with my package. I guess he went to the wrong house. Now he's walking down the street.

Speaker 1

Oh, yeah, let me see, I can't. I don't have that one. I thought I saved it, but I don't have that. But it's a movie on to be as DC, cat Williams, um, and some other, some other like top notch black actors. So, yeah, check it out on to be, if it's not out already, is coming out. Um, the, the, the apartments is coming out soon. Uh, it's like all the black internet comedians are in that. Okay, so that's going to be fire, so definitely check that out. Oh, oh, we got one of them, yeah.

Speaker 3

This was a good one.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's a good little comeback.

Speaker 3

Come back from the comeback.

Speaker 1

Let's see yeah, that's all I got man.

Speaker 3

Yeah. Nothing else pressing has gone on in the world.

Speaker 1

No.

Speaker 3

Wacka Plaka's 2010 hit no hands feature in Roscoe Dash and Wale is now certified diamond.

Speaker 1

Hey, salute to that. Only took 58 11 years.

Speaker 3

Right, so yeah, that that that everybody loves, that hit every couple of what I mean banger, um. So they are certified diving for sure. Yeah, that's all I got, really. Uh, let me see the weekend out here doing Coachella numbers.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's true. Cori Leray out here this and my bullado. I don't like that shit. I like that shit at all.

Speaker 3

I'm going to need her to pick a side, because you said what you said. You are you upset about the line? Then you performed on the BET Awards with pants that had all these girl rapper names on it. Lotto was on there. Now you're. Yeah, I keep the beef going. Okay, go on.

Speaker 1

Okay, koi, keep it alive. Okay, hey, man, shout out to everybody that's living a life, that new Travis Scott is fired. Check it out. Um, other than that man, everybody, be great, be grand, be awesome. Thanks for tuning in. Um, we'll be back next week. You know the vibes. If not, I will get on here and let y'all know we are not coming back for next week. If so, it'll be a message or something like that. Technical difficulties. But to ill chicks, that will be another episode on Saturday. Check it out, we'll be here. Oh yeah, college Hill that was the other show. College Hill is fucking fire on BET Plus.

Speaker 3

The celebrity one right.

Speaker 1

Yes.

Speaker 3

I used to watch like the real college one. Like you remember, they were here. They were at Virginia State one year on that show. Yes, um, but I do. I do want to check that out because I have seen clips of that with Ray J and Amber Rose, jocelyn Jocelyn.

Speaker 1

Yes, season one was phenomenal. It was amazing.

Speaker 3

Check that out.

Speaker 1

It's great If you got BET Plus is great content on there to watch. So definitely, definitely check it out. And uh, you know, tap in. Man, it's good, it's good times, good to be back. We will tap in next week. I'll probably be in Charleston somewhere on a beach, but I will be recording the pod. Um, make sure y'all tune in next week. Y'all know the fucking vibes, man. And uh, just remember one day, guys.

Speaker 3

Oh, wait, wait, you want my music.

Speaker 1

Oh, yeah, yeah. What's your music, pig?

Speaker 3

So I'm going. The track is entitled seven and it's by Jung Cooke and Lotto. Hmm.

Speaker 1

What is it? Is John Cooke, that dude from a B, the K-pop dude.

Speaker 3

I don't know who he is, but I like the song. I don't know who John Cooke is.

Speaker 1

That sounds like a.

Speaker 3

South Korean singer. Yes, you're right, he is a member and vocalist of the South Korean boy band BTS.

Speaker 1

That's what I thought.

Speaker 3

Look at you.

Speaker 1

I'll be knowing my music now. Come on now.

Speaker 3

He dropped the song and Lotto is on it and I like it.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, it's good, I like it a lot.

Speaker 3

I like it a lot.

Speaker 1

I'm going with. What's this chick's name? Ah, where is it? Hold on. The song is called Nothing, but I got to find the artist's name. I don't want to disrespect. Okay, let me see I got to go to Files Done. Oh, for the Love of Money, is the one on Tubi. That's the name of that movie with DC, young Fly, cat Williams and some other folks.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker 1

It's by. Oh shit, I was about to say the wrong. That's play Love Me, love Me. Uh, coleen Corzon, that's the name of the artist, and the song is called Nothing. So definitely check it out.

Speaker 1

Man at the end of the pod, just make sure y'all stay awesome, stay amazing. Uh, listen, man, it's life is short, life is really short, and just live life to the, to the best of your abilities. Don't let people try to pull you down. Don't let people try to take your shine. Blow out your candle, whatever you want to call it. Stop trying to join in on the jokes when you're not a fucking comedian, cause we don't, we don't really find that funny. Um, just let people be funny, cause if you're really funny, you'll shine anyway. Um, again, man, just keep your head up, stay grinding. I love y'all. Thanks for staying tuned and locked in with us. Just make sure it's worth watching. God grind and goes, hey.
