How to create a glitch- monologues- season 41- chapter 5.
This is season 41 of how to create a glitch in the matrix monologues episode 5. In this episode, we will be drawing together the grounded action with the principles of appropriation and the nesting of reality in the nine plates.
In our episode on the nesting of reality, we talk about how it is the willing suspension of disbelief which creates the sublimation of consciousness into the 9 plates. When you are listening to someone speak, you can watch their face, listen to their voice, watch their hand language, posture/posing or spatial location. All 9 plates are dimensions of a social exchange, each nested in the one above, largely because of the willing suspension of disbelief. That is to say, listening, truly listening, requires you project some meaning onto the other's expressive action. In the process of doing this, you are giving them (in the parlance of the last episode) the direct ground. You are fixing a belief upon that person, though you don't know it, which comprises assumptions about their sentience, coherence, autonomy and cognition. The mere assumption that they are expressing comprehensible meaning is direct ground.
Thus, in the projection of that direct ground upon the other, you are bifurcating their substance into non consensual and consensual components. To the extent that their expression matches the assumptions, fixed beliefs, suppositions, the projection of intention, they enter your consensuality. To the extent that they depart from those assumptions, fixed beliefs, suppositions, they enter your non consensuality. Individual components of another's expressive action can be broken down into consensual and non consensual components. For example, we know that the plate of the face represents narratives that we affirm for the other internally and externally, while the plate of the hands represents dialectical, reactive thoughts, which comprise our non consensuality.
All of this is to say, that segregation of people into dissonant consensualities represents a failure of direct ground. A failure to maintain common fixed beliefs about reality. Inhibition at its most basic, in generating dissonant consensualities, represents a circumscribing of the projection of intention by another. Appropriation is a natural consequence of the presence of an unused pre-existing ground created by a failure of the projection of intention.
Decontextualization, in the elimination of the personal, represents the separation of the direct ground from the indirect ground, the supposition from the contingency. A splitting of a thought, so to speak, which as a consequence creates some entropy. That entropy entangles the suppositional narrative to the future reactive emotionality of the decontextualizer. Such that, the indirect ground which follows is generated in reaction to the suppositional narrative and is fundamentally tied to the person who generated it. In other words, the personal component that was stripped away by the decontextualization process is replaced or substituted by the reactive emotionality generated in response to the suppositional narrative.
In effect, the temporary freedom created by decontextualization is purchased with the suffering created by the subsequent encounter with a reactive narrative.
