We had England being the first side to ever win a game at altitude; France not falling for Paraguay’s schtick; Brazil once again being dumped out by European opposition; and Jesse Marsch’s Canada also departing the competition.
We still have the players firing themselves towards the Golden Boot and their teams' the trophy with Messi’s Argentina, Mbappe’s France, Haaland’s Norway and, eh, Oyarzabal’s Spain still in contention.
