There's no such thing as a perfect parent, but there are ways to better the relationship with your child. In this episode, Bryce speaks about his own experience as a troubled youth and how he has been able to have open up dialogue with his parents about their experience. He also talks about what he learned while working with young adults and families in therapeutic programs, as well as some helpful skills to use with your children.
"Our children have a unique way of showing us precisely where we have work to do because they live a life that is mostly unfiltered. They don't do a very good job of holding back their anger, sadness, blame, joy, and playfulness. We have a choice of whether or not we use this to explore more parts of ourselves and grow or sink deeper into our familiar patterns."
