Christmas Tree Adventure
The holidays are here and we need to decorate for Christmas! We need to hang the stockings and put up the lights. but wait we need a tree! Do you know where we can find a real Christmas Tree?
That’s right! The Christmas Tree Farm
Today we’re going on an imaginary trip to the Christmas Tree Farm. Are you ready? Stand up and let’s get moving.
Start by walking in place. This Christmas tree farm is located deep in the woods.
I see an entrance with a sign that says “Christmas Village”
We must be in the right spot.
Mmmm. Something smells delicious! It’s be coming from this bakery.
Look at all these holiday treats.
Can you say this pattern with me?
Cookie, cookie, pie, cookie, cookie pie, cookie cookie…
What comes next?
Pie
Ok try this one…
Apple, cherry, pumpkin, apple, cherry, pumpkin, apple, cherry….
Pumpkin - you’re right!
It’s starting to snow. Let’s pretend to make a snowman. Starting by digging and gathering a lot of snow. Use your hands and push it together to make the bottom of the snowman. Pat it down. Go get some more. Now make a small snowball for the head. There you go. Time to decorate. Pick out some rocks for the eyes and mouth. 2 big sticks for the arms.
What should we use for the nose? A carrot of course! Perfect and here’s a hat and scarf.
What a happy snowman!
Now it’s time to go find a Christmas tree!
I see a sign for the Christmas tree farm. Let’s walk this way.
Let’s find a Christmas tree that is 6 feet tall.
I see a good one over there. Let’s use this tape measure and measure how tall it is. Ok it’s 1,2,3, 4 - 4 feet tall. Hmm is 4 bigger or smaller than 6?
Smaller, that’s right, so we need to find a bigger tree.
A see a good tree over to the left. Let’s try this one 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Whoa, it’s 7 feet tall. Is that the right size? No it’s too tall! Let’s look for a tree that’s in between.
That one looks perfect, let’s measure 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6! It’s 6 feet tall. This will look great in the house. Time to get it wrapped and bring it home.
Let’s decorate this tree. First let’s wrap the lights around the tree. Spin around in a circle. Now let’s put the ornaments on the tree. Lift your left arm then your right arm, left and right. Keep going. Now it’s time to put the star on top! Get on your tippy toes!
It’s beautiful. Thanks for helping decorate.
We hope you had fun today on our trip to the Christmas tree farm! Happy Holidays from Tiny Little TV.
