Jabra doesn't have a shortage of headset options for you to choose from, so is the Engage 55 series right for you? I say series because there are different versions of this headset available, and whether it's right for you or not really comes down to your needs.

Do you need a wireless headset to connect to your computer and mobile devices? Well, if you answered yes, then the Engage 55 isn't the headset for you. That's because the Engage 55 connects to your computer, and not to mobile devices, like your smartphone, or tablet for example.  The Engage 55 operates off of DECT technology, not Bluetooth.  And because of that, it can't be used with mobile devices.

The Jabra Engage 55 comes in three different variants;

  1. Mono - This is worn over the head, and covers one ear. Some prefer this wearing style because it allows them to hear what's going on around them.
  2. Duo - This is a popular choice among headset wearers worldwide. Having an ear speaker for both ears gives the advantage of more sound, stereo sound, and better work concentration.
  3. Convertible - This too is a popular choice because it comes with different wearing options, all included. This means you can wear the headset over your ear one day, and over the head the next for example.  You're not limited to only one wearing style.

No matter which version you might select, you can be sure you'll have a comfortable wearing experience. That's because Jabra designed these headsets to be lightweight and comfortable. Jabra even designed the headband with what they call "low clamping force" which is designed for a more comfortable fit, and helps to keep heat down too.

You can also choose from the standard UC or Microsoft Teams version. So, depending on whether you use Microsoft Teams exclusively, or a mix of different applications, you'll have a version that's right for you.

The Jabra Engage 55 comes with wideband audio which is designed to give you richer sound compared to the normal narrow band audio. Wideband audio will, however, consume more battery power which shortens the amount of battery life you get when this feature is engaged.

You might be wondering about sound quality because it's important. You want your callers to hear you loud and clear, and not the sound going on around you. You also need to hear your callers clearly as well. So how does the Engage 55 do? Pretty well really. It provides a clear, professional sound, and it maintains that sound quality even when working to reduce unwanted background noise. This is something that a lot of headsets can't do.

Cost is always a topic of interest to most people. So how much does the Jabra Engage 55 cost? Well, here's some information  on pricing:

  • Engage 55 convertible model - $307.00
  • Engage 55 mono model - From $307.00
  • Engage 55 duo model - From $329.00
