In this episode of the Headset Advisor Podcast, I'll be talking about a couple of wired USB headsets that provide a lot of value, comfort and sound.

Knowing that sound quality is vitally important, especially when on business calls, we put the Discover D712U, and the Discover D722U through some challenging noise tests. These tests included:
- Office noise, like people talking, machine noises etc.
- Dogs barking, which is a good test especially for those who work from home
- And finally, no test would be complete without our signature blender test
So, how did they do? Starting with voice sound quality, they both sound good, and very acceptable for use on business calls. Between them, I'd take the D722U because the audio quality was richer, and to me, just had a higher quality overall sound.
As for reducing unwanted noise, they both did a very good job of eliminating it, but the nod once again goes to the D722U, because it just reduced more of it. Both headsets maintained the voice audio quality when the microphone was working to reduce background noise. Believe it or not, many headsets struggle to keep the voice sounding good as it reduces background noise.
Both headsets have an inline controller with the ususal features such as volume, mute, and call answer. But, the D722U also has a built-in speaker on the back for training, hearing incoming calls, listening to music, and some computers don't come with speakers. The D722U also allows you to turn on/off sidetone.
