This episode of the Headset Advisor Podcast tackles the subject of the 5 best headsets for use with Microsoft Teams. And when you stop to consider how many different headsets are available,  well, this took some thinking.  In this podcast you'll find out:

  • Which headset came out on top for quiet environments
  • Which was best for loud environments
  • The best wireless headset for quiet environments
  • The best long range wireless headset
  • And the best wireless headset for those who work in noisy offices

Just imagine trying to narrow down  all the choice to arrive at a best of the best in these different categories. Well, here goes.

Best headset for quiet environments was the Jabra Evolve2 40. It's priced around $142.00 - $153.00, depending on the model selected.  This is a wired, USB headset that's Teams compatible which allows you to take calls  from  the headset, and it's regarded as a mid-range model.

No software to download, and it offers simple plug and play connectivity.  It's light too, at 3.9 ounces for the mono, and 6.6 for the duo model. Comfortable to wear all  day.   Good voice quality comes standard, decent noise canceling, and  good sounding speakers.

Best for loud environments goes to the Poly Blackwire 8225 that runs about  $179.00.

Great sounding mic, good noise canceling and a modern, great looking design. Comes in USB A, and USB  C variants, and the popular feature of  Active Noise Cancelation is standard. Interestingly, this feature is activated by pressing a button on the inline controller, which is unique. Soft ear cushions, and comfortable to wear all day long.

Best for quiet environments goes to Jabra Evolve2 65,  priced around $260.00, this is a nice upgraded refresh from  the former Evolve line. Pre-paired USB Adapter that allows for remote call answering convenience. 37 hours of talk time, recharges in 90 minutes, and 15 minutes on the charger yields 8 hours of battery life.  Superb voice quality, and noise reduction, though it has no Active Noise Cancelation.

Best Long Range Wireless goes to Yealink  WH66 for around $330.00.  This headset kills wireless range at giving you as much as 300-500 feet. Most headsets give you 100 to 300. Comes with a 4 inch touch screen that's responsive, and easy to navigate, optional wireless phone charger, and 14 hours of battery life. Comes with 3 wearing styles;  Mono, duo and convertible. Good noise reduction, but the microphone lacks richness.  Speakers are less than premium

Best wireless for loud environments goes to the Jabra Evolve2 75 at around $385.00. 8 microphones that help delliver superb voice  audio quality,  and amazing noise reduction.  When not needed, the mic stores out of sight into the earpiece. Comes with Active Noise  Cancelation for enhanced concentration, and traditional wireless range of around 100 feet.

The Jabra Evolve2 75 is one of  our more favorite headsets. It's modern looking, not too big, sounds awesome, and it's  comfortable. Optimized for use with the leading UC platforms  makes  it a great choice.
