5 Reasons You Shouldn't Buy Your Headsets Until You Listen To This
Sep 03, 2022 Episode 42
Doug Merritt

If you've been purchasing your headsets in the past, and you plan to continue to, make sure to listen to this  podcast for a different approach to acquiring those headsets.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder and CEO of Headset Advisor.

Buying headsets is a very common practice. In fact, it's about  the only thing people really do  when it comes to acquiring new headsets. Typicall it's cash, purchase order, or the company credit card. But is that really the best way to acquire new headsets? Why not lease them instead?

1. When you acquire your headsets on a lease rather than buying them outright, you don't have to concern yourself with having outdated equipment that no  longer meets your needs. Technology changes, as does business, so if you own your tech gear, headsets in this case, and your needs change, you may find yourself stuck with outdated equipment. Many companies must keep their technology equipment  until  they're fully depreciated, which can be problematic if needs change.

2. No need for upfront money to acquire your new headsets. Keep your money to use in your buisness, rather than tying it up in owning a depreciating asset.  An asset that can suddenly be obsolete based on your changing needs as noted a moment ago.

A lease allows you to have a very affordable, flexible, and predictable  low monthly payment that covers the use of the technology rather than the  ownership  of it.

3. No need to buy, and stock replacement  accessories. I know from decades of  experience that a  lot of  companies purchase accessories separately.  This  is to have them available for their staff to replace things such as ear cushions, microphone wind  screens, wireless headset batteries etc.

With our headset lease program, you don't have to buy those items separately. Why? Because our lease program includes the replacement accessories, including the shipping. Just let us know  what you need, and we'll ship it right out. And you don't  need to take up valuable office space stocking those supplies either.

This is the simplest program available today.

4. You don't have to figure out what to do with headsets when they're  no  longer being used.  So, what do you do with them? Donate them? Repurpose them? Throw  them  into  the  trash? Pay a certified e-waste recyler to take care of the problem? No matter what you choose to do, there's a  better alternative. And that alternative is not doing anything at all. Because when you lease your headsets, we take care of disposing of them. We even pay to have them shipped back to us.

We'll refurbish, and redeploy those headsets that are in good enough condition to refresh. Those that are  not are provided to a certified e-waste recycler (at our cost), to responsibly, and in accordance with the law, dispose of.

5. You can skip keeping track of your headset inventory, and even which headsets are in warranty, and which are not. That's because when you lease your headsets from Headset Advisor, the warranty never expires.  Headsets are well-known for not containing serial numbers,  which makes tracking them a big challenge.

The other thing is when tracking headsets, you have to trace each one back to the vendor you purchased them from. This is  so you can contact them with any warranty or support needs.

So when you need new headsets in the future, pause for a moment and think about this podcast. Ask yourself if the things I raised in this write-up makes sense.  If it  does, then  hit the  pause button on that  purchase,  and contact us at Headset Advisor to get your affordable lease plan started.
