Joanna Corl, daughter of our podcast host, Sue Corl, was raised in China. During this time, she fell into the trap of comparing her body with the Asian women around her. Her conclusion: “I have fat legs and a big butt!” This resulted in years of struggle with eating disorders. After moving back to the U.S. and seeing other bodies like hers, she was able to begin to eat a healthy diet.
After college, she worked for a functional medicine coach where she fell in love with the holistic health field. This led Joanna into becoming a licensed massage therapist and developing a website, Peace of Lavender, to share her ongoing research about the body and health.
