Staying up during Motherhood
Ever felt like you're running on empty as a mom? Like you're juggling a thousand things, yet you still feel like you're not doing enough? Well, I'm Marilyn, and today I'm sharing my own struggles and victories in the chaotic, beautifully messy world of motherhood. We're going to get real about exhaustion, staying motivated, and above all, not losing yourself amidst the whirlwind of caring for your little ones.
What's the trick to staying motivated while dealing with kids and their unpredictable schedules? Consistency! We'll explore how staying consistent in certain aspects of your life can help you from losing your identity to motherhood. And let's debunk the myth of "negative tiredness" - it's completely okay to be tired, and it doesn't make you ungrateful. On top of that, we're going to celebrate the small wins, because each and every one of them is an accomplishment. Tune in and take this journey with me, let's remind ourselves that being a mom is tough, but we're tougher! And remember to share the love - if this podcast motivates you, pass on the joy to someone who could use a little push!

Good morning and welcome back to. This Is Me. I am Marilyn podcast. It is Monday and I am running late to work. I am extremely tired, especially, you know, it's the time of the month for me. I know us women, girls let me know if you are with me but now that I'm getting older, for whatever reason, when it's that time of the month, I feel like I'm just like 10 times more exhausted and just feel just drained. I saw in one country that they finally gave some women menstrual days. I think they refer to it to whatever we need at least two days when it comes. So because we, I just don't want to do anything. That's that, you know.
Speaker 1:I listen to so many motivational stuff and it says wake up, how you start your morning, which is true, how you start your morning determines how you're going to start your day. But I don't hear the motivational stuff for moms, like women with kids, women with small kids. How do you stay motivated? How do you stay? I want to keep pushing because I don't feel like. I don't feel like going every day. I'm tired. These kids will. They will win. These kids win. I'd be tired at a long weekend with them, but I love them so much it breaks my heart when I have to leave them in the morning. I just wish I could just stay with them and just enjoy them all day, every day, as tiring as they are. But the years are going by so fast. I just wish that I was able to just stay home with them.
Speaker 1:But in any event, when you listen to that, sometimes, when I used to listen to the motivational stuff I'm like where are the ones for the moms? Like how do we keep going? Am I doing something wrong? Am I doing the blueprint wrong, if I want to become a millionaire? Because I'm so tired, because I was dealing with the kids? So what's the key for us moms? And because I've been trying to keep up with the blueprint and do your routine and do that. It's impossible to have a routine with your kids because they can wake up whenever they want. Whatever you know, put them on a routine. Have a three-year-old and a two-year-old right now. They you just try to make it through the day. So what my tip is Remain consistent. Consistent in certain things that you know keeps you going Individually as a person, so you don't lose yourself.
Speaker 1:While being a mom, while doing the day-to-day. It's okay to be tired, but don't confuse tired with being negative, um, and that I struggle because it's a fine line, because if you're so tired, are you being ungrateful? You know I'm tired today, oh, excuse me. So for us moms who are trying to be Entrepreneurs, who work full-time, who have a lot of kids, who have one kid because even with one kid it's still exhausting, um, just know that every day we wake, okay, all right, you just don't see me there, all right. Just know that while we wake up in the morning, and Well, we put our feet down on the floor and our day starts, that is an accomplishment. Well, we get up and attend to our children, that is accomplishment. To celebrate your small wins.
Speaker 1:Whenever it is that you feel like you're not doing enough or you're just exhausted, it's okay to be tired, it's okay to take time for yourself, it's okay to Um, sit back and just not clean the house one day. That's something I'm struggling with because my OCD it's. It's a struggle to struggle, but you know, again, giving myself credit, giving myself credit, marilyn, how can you keep a house clean with a three or four boys? You know, my oldest one is home from college. He's he's back and forth between his dad's house and I, my house and his dad's house same for my 16 year old, but he's all more and they're dirty. Boys are dirty, that's just boys are dirty. Um, yeah, that's all. Keep pushing, moms, keep pushing.
Speaker 1:That wasn't my message for today. I don't know what it was, but that's where it led me, because I am just so tired. I'm running super late for work and I don't care. I Frankly don't care, because you know what I got up today and I'm proud of myself Because I am tired. So keep going, moms, you got this. That's all I got for today, as always, thank you for tuning in. Remember, like, subscribe, share. If my podcast motivates you, please Share it with someone who you think it will help. So see you soon.
