Hello everyone and welcome back to this Is Me. I am Marilyn podcast, and today I want to talk about setting boundaries and the risks that come with it. What do I want to talk about? Setting boundaries? Because excuse me, how to drink the mortar? Because you know, in the last couple months I have been talking about shutting and clarity and quietness, and with all of that also comes setting your boundaries. Now there is going to be a risk while setting boundaries, because not everybody's gonna like it, not everyone's gonna understand it, and they may start talking about you. They may start saying that you think you're better than them. They may start saying that you're a bitch and they just don't, they just can't wrap their head around this new version of you.
Speaker 1:And for me personally, it is so important to start setting these boundaries for myself and remaining in who I am. And this is so important to do in all aspects of your life. In your personal life, if you're dating someone, if you're in a relationship, in your workspace, you have to set your boundaries and protect your peace, protect your energy and also stay true to you, know what you believe and man, the setting of the boundaries is. It feels good on this side of the wall y'all, when I tell you, granted, I was a crying mess a couple weeks ago, given everything that I was going through, but I have just been so focused and intentional, determined to continue to get better every single day, to continue to establish these tools that I'm able to use when another situation presents itself, because with the good comes the bad. We're always going to face some sort of bullshit, but it's how we face that bullshit is what really is going to determine how we carry on in life and who we are as an individual, and one of the tools that I have been using is continuing to set my boundaries.
Speaker 1:Be firm in what you believe in. Don't let anybody veer you from something that you feel strong about, just like I tell my children, any decision that you make for yourself can never go wrong. If, in your heart of hearts, if you know that that decision you're about to make, or the decision you've already made, is something that you felt strong about, it can never go wrong because that is what your gut told you, that is what you know. Whatever it is that you're manifesting, you have to go through certain things in order to get the outcome that you desire. Yeah, I just wanted to talk about the boundaries today because I've been doing it. It's been working. People are unbothered, disturbed. What's the saying when? When they can't, when they can't say something, when they can't find something about you, they start to make up lies. Yeah, that's what's been happening, but anyways, as always, thank you for listening. Please like, share, subscribe and I will talk to you soon.
