yesterday. We'll get to all of that here in a bit. Live cattle were up $2.25 at $2.27. Almost a half there. Feeder cattle were green in the front months, red in the back. In the front month, they were at $3.43

and uh $0.00 there at $4.83. Lean hogs, an up day at $88.28. Up $48 on the day. Quoting the grain markets live with our quotes from plus $500 this morning. As I'm looking at them here, the September contracted soybeans is at $11.92 and a half. Corn is at $4.56 even. And wheat is at $665. Saw a bit of a downward move overnight. We saw just a little bit of a bounce, especially in wheat early this morning. Moving on to our weather discussion for today. local heavy rainfall across the central corn belt late Thursday, which is much, much needed. Improving soil moisture across most areas by Sunday. Missouri, it looks like, might get left out of that, but for the rest of the states, I'm going to catch some rain and the heat breaks this weekend, finally in the corn belt, but it's going to stay locked in hot and heavy here in the southern plains. If you missed it the other day, Garden City saw 110 degrees. Super warm down there. On to our livestock discussion for today, popping this up. today. And I believe there's going to be a live stream of that, and we'll keep you updated before and afterwards here at Ag Bull Media. Of course, the border, they just announced that we are going to start importing Mexican cattle or M-branded cattle, if you've ever been around them before, into the United States for the first time in a while, here in 30 days or so. It'll be interesting to see what the Secretary of Ag has to speak on the situation. Some are frustrated that it's not good for the U.S. cattlemen. Others are saying it was just a matter of time before the border had to reopen again because it is an open market and Mexico is one of our greatest trading allies. the Senate overwhelmingly advanced a bar bipartisan Russia uh excuse me, a bipartisan Russian sanction bill that would target Moscow's energy revenues while giving President Trump new authority to impose tariffs on countries buying Russian oil. Early yesterday it did a big jump in the oils, both Brent and crude. Make sure and pay attention to the energy market because if this happens to gain more traction and as Trump, you know, goes to imposing those tariffs, it'll do interesting things to the grain market. this is cash in relation to futures, the front month of futures as that goes through and changes there. And as you can see, there is a direct correlation. So make sure and pay attention to your local sale barns, the local cash prices, and things like that to really understand locally and nationally what the cattle market is doing.
