Aurora: Thank you, Audrey! I’m excited to be here and share some valuable insights with your audience.

Audrey: Before we dive into the main topics, I want to touch on something fun. In your background info, you mentioned recently pivoting your entrepreneurial success to fulfill a childhood dream—writing a fantasy series! Tell us more about that.

Aurora: Absolutely. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I realized I had a lifelong dream I hadn’t pursued: writing a fantasy series. So, I started Magic Mystery and the Multiverse. The first book won the Reader's Choice Award for Best Book for Teens, and the second book, The Secret Multiverse Academy, recently won a gold award from Literary Titan. The third book is coming out in 2025. I wanted to encourage lifelong reading, which has been transformative for me.

Audrey: That’s amazing! And speaking of books, Turn Words into Wealth is packed with strategies for authors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders. What inspired you to write it?

Aurora: I noticed many people spent years writing a book but failed to maximize its potential. They didn’t test their titles, covers, or marketing strategies. Worse, they had no plan to turn their book into a business. Turn Words into Wealth includes seven monetization strategies to help authors generate revenue, whether through speaking, coaching, consulting, or even TV deals.

There was also an experiment reported in Significant Objects. Researchers listed ordinary objects on eBay, some with a story and some without. The items with a story sold for 2,700% more than those without. That’s the power of storytelling!

Audrey: Wow! That’s incredible. So, for thought leaders, why is becoming an author so important?

Aurora: Amazon is the third-largest search engine in the world. If you have expertise but no book, you’re missing out on a huge audience. A book also establishes credibility and helps you reach more people. Plus, it opens doors to speaking opportunities, coaching clients, and media appearances.

Audrey: Let’s talk about the neuroscience behind communication. What are some common mistakes people make?

Aurora: The biggest mistake? Thinking that the message sent is the message received. College trains us to communicate like Excel spreadsheets—just facts. But that’s not how the brain processes information.

The brain filters messages in three steps:

  1. What? Is this interesting?
  2. Who? Who else thinks this is important? (Social proof)
  3. Wow! Is there something engaging or surprising?

A great book title, a compelling hook, or a powerful testimonial, taps into these filters and grabs attention.
