In this episode we have the opportunity to speak with entrepreneur Matthew Iglesias, who is a marketing strategist, copywriter, and media buyer. We discuss the positives of being vulnerable and why it can help you in networking. Many people see vulnerability as being a weakness and are afraid that if they open up, people will see them as weak, but what many don’t realize is that it will make you appear human and humble, which draws people to you and gains a large amount of respect from them. We discuss goal making and Matthew tells us the importance of going over your goals more than once a day and the importance of discipline in being successful.

“I was thinking about this the other day, I was like, ‘Why is it that athletes and musicians are the biggest celebrities in the world?’ It’s because they entertain. Humans want to be entertained almost more than anything else. If you’re a business who is trying to create that raving fan effect, you have to entertain your customers while simultaneously educating them on the product, and when those two come together, it’s a very good recipe for you being able to not only to get them to convert into customers, but to retain as customers and become raving fans.” 29:25
