There's no stopping former cattle rancher-turned-formidable animal rights activist, Renee King-Sonnen! In this episode, be prepared to be wowed by Renee's stories of resilience overcoming adversities from her childhood, and channeling that energy for good by fighting for animal liberation.
Renee and her husband Tommy converted their cattle ranching operation in Texas into a lovely rescue sanctuary, Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, which is now a happy home to animals who have been rescued from different forms of abuse and exploitation. They also started the Rancher Advocacy Program that helps ranchers and animal farmers to transition into plant-based operations to feed the community with nourishing plant foods and supply the growing plant-based consumer market.
TRIGGERING CONTENT : There are mentions of terminology related to sexual violence and discussions of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Listeners' discretion is advised.
