Have you ever caught yourself saying "If only..." and then describing what would make your life better? We all create these conditional scenarios, believing our happiness depends on changing circumstances. But what if the most powerful "if-then" statement already exists in scripture?

Today we dive into Jesus's profound words from John 15:7: "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you." Unlike our worldly conditional thinking, this divine promise offers something far more transformative – a relationship with Christ that changes everything.

The Christian journey isn't about wishful thinking or desperately hoping circumstances might improve. It's about taking God at His word and standing firmly on His promises regardless of how things appear. When we stop merely wishing and start speaking God's Word, when we cease hoping and start believing with confidence, transformation follows.

God hasn't left us to figure life out alone. He's provided clear direction through scripture and invites us into an abiding relationship where our desires align with His heart. This process unfolds over time as we consistently choose to remain in Christ and let His words take root within us.

Ready to exchange your conditional scenarios for God's powerful promises? Join us as we discover what happens when we truly abide in Jesus and let His words abide in us. Remember, if God is for you, who can be against you? What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

Hello and welcome to Mornings with Jesus, your daily dose of encouragement. I am your host, joshua Scott Zeitz. Today's encouragement comes from John, chapter 15 and verse 7. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. How many times have you caught yourself saying things like if this or that happens, then this or that will happen? For instance, if I made more money, then I would be more secure. Or if I found the right person, then I would be happy. How about this one If I found the right church, then I would be able to flourish.

The possibilities of if-then scenarios are endless and, if we're honest with ourselves, we've all made them at some point in our lives, even in our walks with the Lord. Listen, be encouraged. The Bible is chock full of if-thens. However, the if-thens I am referring to are meant to bring about God-inspired. The if-thens I am referring to are meant to bring about God-inspired, holy Spirit-induced biblical results in your life. God is so good, and I love how he doesn't simply leave us alone to figure things out on our own. He has given us clear directions through His Word.

Living a victorious Christian life isn't about wishing things could be different or hoping beyond hope that things will change. It's about taking God at his word, standing on his promises, which are always yes and amen, and believing them in spite of how things might look or even feel. Jesus said if you abide in me and my words abide in you, then you shall ask what you will, and it will be done. Now that's an awesomely amazing if-then. Be encouraged. God is for you. He wants to see you succeed in every avenue of life. Stop wishing and start speaking the Word of God. Stop hoping things will change and start believing they will Expect good things. If you do over time, not overnight then you will begin to see change and ultimately be a better witness for Jesus. If God be for you, who can be against you? Remember what you make happen for others, god will make happen for you.
