Fighting Traffic Tickets in El Paso: The Role of a Traffic Ticket Lawyer
In bustling El Paso, where the sun shines brightly over busy streets, the likelihood of receiving a traffic ticket is a reality many drivers face. Whether it's for speeding, running a red light, or failing to yield, traffic violations can lead to hefty fines, increased insurance premiums, and even points on a driver’s license. For those looking to contest these tickets, a traffic ticket lawyer can be an invaluable ally.
The Importance of a Traffic Ticket Lawyer
A specialized traffic ticket lawyer in El Paso understands the nuances of local laws and the legal processes involved in contesting a ticket. Here’s how they can assist:
- Expert Guidance: Traffic laws can vary significantly from one jurisdiction to another. A lawyer with experience in El Paso traffic cases will have an in-depth understanding of local regulations and procedures. They can guide clients through the legal maze, ensuring they know their rights and options.
- Case Evaluation: A traffic ticket lawyer will analyze the details of the case, including the circumstances of the violation and the evidence presented. They can identify potential defenses, such as improper signage, lack of clear visibility, or procedural errors made by law enforcement.
- Representation in Court: If a case goes to court, having a lawyer is crucial. They can present a strong defense, cross-examine witnesses, and argue on behalf of their clients. Their familiarity with the court system can make a significant difference in the outcome.
Finding the Right Traffic Ticket Lawyer in El Paso

All right . Hey, Robert. How's it going, man? Good,
Speaker 2:Good. How are you?
Speaker 1:Good. Good to see you again. Good to thank
Speaker 2:You. Likewise. Thank you.
Speaker 1:Alright , man. So how's everything going in the traffic ticket world in El Paso?
Speaker 2:It's good. You know , uh, we have , uh, uh, fortunately, we're fortunate to , uh, have the trust of a lot of clients. Uh, the city of El Paso, it comes to us because , uh, there's a lot of cops out there that they, they like to give tickets, they like to pull people over for any little reason. Um, so , uh, it's, it's been, it's been good. Uh, you know, we , we've been blessed and we have a good support team and we , uh, uh, value ourselves on customer service and providing the best for our clients. The best legal representation I've been doing this for , uh, over 20 years. Uh , and so , uh, I'm , I feel like , uh, I've , uh, mastered , uh, the defenses for traffic tickets here in El Paso. And , um, and , uh, every day I strive to continue , uh, maintaining , uh, focus on just representing my clients to the best of my abilities. And so far I've been , uh, fortunate enough to do that. So I'm very blessed.
Speaker 1:Yeah. We did this podcast before about a year ago. And so El Paso Traffic Ticket Firm, you know , um, you guys have a pretty high dismissal rate. I've seen your reviews just shoot up the, the charts, lot of five star reviews. Do you do anything different than the other lawyers to get dismissals?
Speaker 2:You know, I think it's, it's the dedication that I put towards , uh, representing my clients in this area and field. What I've noticed in my colleagues is that they , uh, that's not their priority. They, they take on other types of cases. They take on , uh, civil cases, family law cases. Yeah. Uh , they have a wide spectrum of case that they deal with. And so they don't allocate and dedicate the time that I take because representing clients on traffic tickets is my number one sole priority in my profession. That's all that I focus on doing. I focus on all the case law. I focus on , uh, the , um, attention to detail that it takes, reviewing these complaints. Mm-Hmm . <affirmative> reviewing , uh, the officer's citations. I spent a great deal of time just focusing on that because that's my pa passion. That's what I love to do. And , um, and , uh, I would , uh, you know, I , I would think that I probably am , uh, one of the very best at representing , uh, the citizens of El Paso. Uh , both colleagues and judges have , uh, looked to me for guidance and, and how, how I , uh, go about representing clients and, and , um, and so I, I , um, feel very blessed and fortunate that I'm in the position that I'm in where I can dedicate 100% of my time on my clients for traffic tickets.
Speaker 1:Right. And you know, last time we talked , um, now you have two locations. So if somebody's trying to find a traffic ti ticket lawyer near them, you're pretty much conveniently co located throughout the whole city now, right?
Speaker 2:Oh, yes. We, we encompass the entire , uh, city of El Paso. That includes from the very far west side, which is Vinton , Cillo area , uh, Anthony, Texas , uh, all the way to , uh, horizon, the far east side, the horizon area, Clint. Uh, we, we have, have a broad spectrum of coverage for all the El Paso , uh, citizens. They can go to either one of our offices and we've, we've made the transition to , uh, provide services so that the clients don't have to necessarily go in person to get the representation they can. Mm-Hmm . <affirmative> do everything online now. We have , um, we have apps. They can, they can scan a little , uh, a little barcode, the QR code, scanner, QR code on their phone so that it takes 'em directly to , uh, our website where they can go ahead and read up some information about our services, what we provide. They can give us our , the information. They can do it all online. They don't have to make a phone call. They don't have to come in person. We've made it very, very easy for , uh, anybody who receives a traffic ticket to get like legal representation as soon as possible. Because the worst thing that you can do is get a traffic ticket and just not do anything about it, because then you run into other problems when, when that happens. And , uh, so yeah,
Speaker 1:They get like a warrant
Speaker 2:Or something, they'll get a warrant, they'll give the police , can you help a to arrest ? Can you help them with a warrant? Absolutely. If , if, if for whatever reason, you know, I , I understand, you know, we all have , um, busy lives and sometimes , uh, it may not be our PR priority to deal with it right away. And so , uh, I understand that that does happen at times where we forget about it and then we start getting notices in the mail, threatening with a warrant , uh, threatening to come to your place of business or your home to arrest you. You'd never want that situation to happen. Uh, and so , uh, we , um, we definitely can help if anybody has a warrant, it's very important that they call us as soon as possible so that we can get those warrants lifted so that you don't have to worry the next time that you're driving down the road and you see a cop car behind you. And you don't have to have that panic, that fear that, oh, great, is he gonna run my license plate and find out that I have an active warrant and pull me over, and then I'm gonna have to get my car towed. It's gonna be at the impound. I'm gonna have to pay hundreds of dollars to get my car out, plus I'm gonna go to jail. I'm gonna get arrested, I'm gonna get booked. Fingerprinted. Uh, that's, that's a , a mess that you just do not want to find yourself into. So in order to avoid all those problems, it's very important that , uh, you reach out to us so that we can help you and get those warrants lifted, get your case dismissed, and so that this doesn't become a problem for you later on. So
Speaker 1:I know you're a traffic ticket attorney and you do mostly speeding tickets , uh, no insurance, no registration, all types of moving violations. Is there any other, like , uh, 'cause I know that's a class C dis misdemeanor. Do you do other class C misdemeanors?
Speaker 2:Oh , absolutely. We do all kinds of , uh, there's , uh, you know , uh, what , what now is very common is , uh, drug paraphernalia. Mm-Hmm, <affirmative> , uh, where, where the officer will pull you over and he'll, he'll claim that he smelled , uh, marijuana residue in the vehicle. Or sometimes he'll ask you if they can search your vehicle. And , uh, my advice is always don't let them search , um, unless they have a warrant or probable cause. But sometimes , uh, unfortunately , uh, you know, people don't know that. And so they give 'em permission to search and then they come across, let's say , uh, uh, some sort of a vape pen device used to smoke marijuana, or it has some residue in there. They'll actually , uh, they can technically arrest you, but what they're usually doing now is they're issuing a Class C , uh, or a class C citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. And , uh, those could be very serious. And it's very important that you , uh, contact a lawyer. Uh, hopefully it's me, because you don't want a drug paraphernalia on your record. 'cause if you go to court and you try to handle it yourself, most likely it's gonna be you're gonna have a conviction and then it's gonna , uh, cause a hindrance. If you wanna apply for, let's say a government position that yeah , that you have that , uh, on your record, they may not , uh, give you a position. And so that could be very detrimental to your future. We also handle open containers. People , uh, sometimes will , you know, be drinking an alcoholic beverage while they're , uh, operating a motor vehicle and they're not supposed to. And , um, and what will happen is the officer will claim that they smelled alcohol in their breath. They'll see an open beer can, or let's say, let's say a , a water bottle that has alcohol in it, or for whatever reason, they'll , they'll , uh, they will give you a citation for possession of an open container, which is also,
Speaker 1:And you guys fight those viol , those citations as well.
Speaker 2:Right. And those dismissed , those are very important that you fight those because if you have that on your record, any type of job that requires you to do any kind of driving , uh, your employer may not wanna hire you if you have , uh, a conviction for a open container in your vehicle because they don't wanna run that risk of having liability for an employee that has already have a history of alcohol in their vehicle. That could be very serious and , and that could prevent you from getting a , a well paying job. And so I do my best to fight those and get those off my client's records so that it doesn't affect their potential future employment opportunities.
