Do you remember the Hale’-ta series of books published by the Department of CHamoru Affairs? They featured essays and primary documents and biographies of important figures in Guam and Chamoru history. This series had a huge impact in terms of education and consciousness raising in the 1990s and early 2000s, but has not been active for more than a decade.

Chamoru Studies scholars Christine Delisle and Vince Diaz both worked on the Hale'-ta Series in the 1990s and were guests for this episode of Fanachu, where they shared their experiences working on this pioneering project led by Dr. Katherine Aguon.

This episode originally aired on November 16, 2022 and was hosted by Dr. Michael Lujan Bevacqua.

The audio for this episode was produced by Akli'e' Chan Bevacqua and features the song "Mungga Yu' Ma Fino' Inglesi" by Johnny Sablan.
