Speaker 1

The foundation there in Genesis in particular , is being eroded . And then we have generations who were sent to an education system that was very Christianized in a way in the past , but

The Post-Christian Culture Shift

Speaker 1

then they threw that out . And so then we've got these generations coming through who are totally secular in their worldview . The foundation of man's word and really the secularization of the culture and the catastrophic generational loss from the church has gone hand in hand . And that's why you know , george barter , christian researchers said generation z are the first truly post-christian generation . So what you're talking about when you say it's now in that negative sense , it's post-christian . Post-christian means anti-christian , and so we see that connection of the loss from the church because the church didn't stand on God's word . And now we see the increasing secularization and there are many in the church sort of waking up and saying wait a minute , something's happened , what's going on here ? But I see it as the church's fault and I see it as the leaders who didn't take a stand on God's word , who compromised evolution millions of years with God's word .

Speaker 2

All in one week , friends . All in one week a tooth abscess , a flood in my house and having to see Ken Ham , oh dear , that's rough . In fact , I think he's the cause of those things Floods , little boats , those sorts of things and pain . I don't know if you know this , friends , but Ken Ham backwards is my neck .

Speaker 3

Pain and my neck .

Speaker 4

And he's here . He's laughing . Look at that , look .

Speaker 3

You got a smile out of him .

Speaker 4

He couldn't even . He just about cracked his makeup .

Speaker 1

You see , look the reason for the abscess in your tooth , the flood in your house . I come from answers in Genesis . The answers in Genesis it's all because of sin . That's it , the fall of sin .

Speaker 4

What about the third one ?

Speaker 2

You know a lot about sin Ken .

Speaker 4

You are a good example . That's in a different category . You're an example of the fall .

Speaker 2

Yeah , ken Ham , actually , we talk about you so much on this podcast , it's almost like you're a part of it .

Speaker 4

I just want to say it's just a joy to have you . You haven't told a lie . Yeah , he just sends me nothing but nice texts .

Speaker 1

I do , because I watch your videos and they're all the same . Yes , have you lied ? Have you told a lie ? Do ? You lie , have you told lies ? And then he just puts different ends on them .

Speaker 4

Let me just talk to this man . If it's bad for you , think of me . I have to listen to myself , do it . And then , when I edit , I hear it again , again and again and again .

Speaker 2

Well , this is what Ken sent . This is our text from earlier today . I've been practicing your witnessing style in all the different sorts of questions you ask have you ever lied ? Have you ever told a lie ? Do you lie ? Are you lying ? How many lies have you told ? Do you lie every day , don't you ? Are you a liar ? Do you keep telling lies ? And what did I say ? You're such a twit . And what did he say ? And loving it ? And then Ray says of course , only an idiot would love being a twit . This is our texting daily , constantly , yeah , incessantly . Ken , good to have you . Hey , I think it's good to be here . Yeah , I think we had a nice night last night Went to Calvary Chapel , chino Hills .

Speaker 1

That's true . The good thing was you didn't speak . I didn't Well you mentioned me from the pulpit . I did mention you actually in a nice way . Yeah , I know I felt bad about that .

Speaker 4

We got an email from the Insomniacs . They were grateful .

Speaker 2

Yeah . That's great , such a huge church , isn't it ? And really a mover and shaker type of church .

Speaker 1

It was packed and the response was they said it was bigger than normal crowd much bigger than when EZ's there .

Speaker 4

So they didn't know you were coming .

Speaker 2

Yeah , they hid it well . Yeah , but no , it was great , do you hear ?

Speaker 1

that little droning from over there . A little noise . Yeah , do you ever do anything intelligent on this podcast ?

Speaker 2

No , just , you know friends and that's about it . That's all I do , yeah , so anyway , it's good to have you with us , ken , we're going to move on from you right now . Cool , classy comment . This is from Maddie RR , maddie RR , yikes , these guys are the craziest , zaniest , fun , insightful , biblically sound , challengingly evangelical , pushing us to share our faith in an awesome way . Guys , y'all make me laugh out loud , sometimes weep and sometimes receive inspired learning to apply to my daily life . Notice , it wasn't about you , ken Ham , about us . Thank you , maddie .

Speaker 1

Well , I could understand her weeping if she sees right .

Speaker 2

Weeping and gnashing of teeth . All right , friends . Now our radically revolutionary resource , this podcast , is brought to you by , appropriately so today . Fight Like a man , friends . You noticed I've been restrained , I've been humble meek gentle lowly . I have hardly been talking about my book , but we did in the last podcast . Well , you guys brought it up , but the forwarder of my book is here . Ken , you wrote the forward to my book .

Yeah , I know Humbly . So , yeah , check it out France , and you can get my book there , but you can also get it here . Don't forget the Living Waters mug , the Heaven Study Bible , living Waters TV and Living Waters TV YouTube channel . All at Living Waters . You're welcome . You're on point Oscar today , very good , all right , franz . Today , yes , with Ken Ham in the studio , we're talking about when the world fights against the church .

Speaker 5

That never happens .

Speaker 2

Yeah , and Christian ministries . So , Ken , you guys have had a few squabbles over there with the world .

Speaker 1

We have had a few squabbles and I tell you a verse of scripture , though that I'm reminded of what men went for evil . God means for good , Amen . We've seen that happen over and over and over again . In fact , I would thank the atheists for enabling us to have the incredible piece of property we have for the Creation Museum . Because of their opposition and we lost the zoning on the first piece of property we had , which we shouldn't have . That shouldn't have happened . But we had a liberal court that ruled against this and even though the zoning was approved by the local county commission and all the rest of it , and the atheists put on such a turn that eventually the liberals voted against it . That's surprising , isn't ?

Speaker 3

it the liberals voted against it , big shock .

Speaker 1

And so you know what . We didn't give up , of course . We just said , well , god's got something better for us and we went and found a far better property right on the interstate and we decided to build a far bigger museum and have a far bigger impact . And so you see what those people use for evil . God meant for good , amen .

Speaker 1

And so we've seen this sort of thing happen . Uh , you know over and over again and you know it's interesting . You just never know , uh , the impact that this ministry can even have on those people . And you know I've seen that I've talked to people who are atheists , who watch the Bill Nye debate , and of course we got mocked for doing the Bill Nye debate . So did Bill Nye get mocked ? Because , you know , his secular friends didn't want him giving us , you know , exposure , being able to get the message out . But I've talked to people who said I was an atheist and never heard that before , never really thought how to think about that issue , and they became a Christian and we've heard lots of things like that . But you know what's happening this year I read that the atheists are again going to have a well protest outside the Ark .

Speaker 2

Isn't that like ?

Speaker 1

a yearly thing ? Yeah , it's a yearly thing . They missed it last year , I think .

Speaker 4

But they've got nothing else to do .

Speaker 1

Well , you know , when the 20 of them get together and it's about 20 , something like that and there's thousands of people pour into the Ark on that day . You know what is interesting ? I think the media has given up covering it , but when they were covering it for the first couple of years , talk about all these atheists and they're protesting and so on and go around and show these 20 people there , but they wouldn't even talk about the thousands of people that poured into the Archangel . It's just fascinating .

Speaker 2

Ken , at least one year . I think you guys intentionally sent out a team of people to give them water and share the gospel with them .

Speaker 1

In fact , we've had people do that each time they protested actually . But you know , when we opened the Creation Museum there was a group of atheists that got permission from a neighbor who doesn't like the universe a neighbor who ?

Speaker 1

doesn't like the universe . Actually , when we had our first prayer meeting on the Creation Museum property , when it was just a cattle pasture , we were having this prayer meeting , there was I don't know 20 or 30 of us there and the police came out . Apparently the neighbor called the police on us because of an unlawful meeting or something or other . That was interesting . So that neighbor's been a little thorn in the flesh .

Speaker 4

So was it a cow paddock .

Speaker 1

So what's ?

Speaker 4

that , was it a cow paddock you were meeting in ? Yeah , you should have just said moo or a herd .

Speaker 1

Yeah , well it wasn't a chicken pen .

Speaker 4

You made chickens out of us . I know you have chicken pens .

Speaker 1

I've got a question for you , kenneth . So I haven't finished yet , he's telling the story right , he's never finished , yeah , just be quiet , be quiet .

Speaker 4

This has gone on for millions of years . This is a story .

Speaker 1

It's much more important than what you have to say . So they call the police Anyway . So when we opened the Creation Museum , these protesters got permission off this person to use a piece of property that butted up against the Creation Museum property , and so they put up a stage and then they brought in a rock band to play loud music , hoping it would drown out . I mean , this is what you call tolerance right , yeah right .

Speaker 1

So they were hoping it would drown out our proceedings . So they're there with their rock band and they had all these speeches for their 15 people that were there . And they also hired a plane to their 15 people that were there . And they also hired a plane to pull a banner and the banner said thou shalt not lie . And they were buzzing back and forth .

Speaker 4

They had nothing to do with that Over the ceremony .

Speaker 1

Well , you know , what's interesting is that years later I found out many of the Christians that were there . We had 8,000 people turn up . Well , that was for the Ark opening For the Creation Museum . It was 4,000 . 4,000 people turn up that day and you know the interesting thing , many of them I've met since thought we had hired that plane to say that about the atheists . So they paid for advertising for us .

Speaker 2

And they put up all sorts of nasty signs .

Speaker 1

It was a really hot day and one stage someone came inside looking for water and so we took out water to them . I think we might have taken ice cream out to them , uh , you know , pouring coals of fire on their head as the scripture talks about , and we showed , we showed them love and and , uh , you know , tried to do what we could for them so we've had , yeah , we , we continually have those . They're like little gnats buzzing around your ankles .

Speaker 3

You know what I mean .

Speaker 1

But here's the thing I noticed when I came into Living Waters there's no atheist protesting out front , which means you're probably not doing anything worthwhile .

Speaker 2

We're blowing it yeah .

Speaker 1

Because if you're doing anything worthwhile , they'd be out there protesting .

Speaker 2

You realize that I know we're dropping the ball , Ray .

Speaker 1

What are we ?

Speaker 4

doing about your encounter with AVS . I've got a question for Ken . Building an ark was a huge undertaking , so I look on you as an undertaker . Was there any time ? Thank you Easy Any time you regretted . Did you think I've bitten off more than I can chew ? Because that's just huge .

Speaker 1

I think that's called stepping out in faith .

Speaker 4

Yeah , yeah . You know , and yeah , I think that's what it's called stepping out in faith . Did you ever feel that you were sinking and you needed to reach out with your hand ? In the hand of Jesus .

Speaker 1

There's many times where we've had what we call Red Sea events .

Speaker 4

Yeah .

Speaker 1

And you come to the Red Sea and you've got the Egyptians behind you and there's nowhere to go , right . And then you , because there's nowhere to go , then you say the Lord has to do something here or it's not going to work . And I'll tell you we've been through many Red Sea events . Here's the interesting thing , though the Red Sea events get bigger and bigger when you have steps of faith and you have those Red Sea events , and the next time it's a bigger step of faith and it's a bigger Red Sea event , then a bigger step of faith . It's almost as if God is saying okay , I trust you in these little things , but let's just push the edge even more and more . And we've had some , we've seen some incredible miracles . And you look back on it and you say it's amazing that that happened . I mean , how do we even get to do that ? Sometimes I'm amazed that we stepped out in faith the way we did .

Speaker 2

Well , you know , what I've been amazed by is some of the stories that I've heard over the years of atheists that have come to the Creation Museum or the Ark Encounter who've been genuinely blown away

Faith-Based Ministry and Opposition

Speaker 2

by the quality . I mean where they're like , yeah , we don't agree with this stuff , but it's pretty good . It's pretty amazing , right . I mean where they're like , yeah , we don't agree with this stuff , but it's pretty good . It's pretty amazing , right . I mean , ken , you've gotten that a lot through the years .

Speaker 1

We have . We've had many , many battles and you know you have hills and valleys in Christian ministry and I just wish that we could have more hills sometimes .

Speaker 3

Because there's always those valleys .

Speaker 1

But you know , someone once said to us you know , you must be really doing something , because if you step on the devil's toes he reacts . But you guys must be kicking him in the shins Right .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I mean seriously , you have that proportional sort of response , sometimes in keeping with those steps you're taking and how you're impacting the kingdom of darkness . But , ray , I'd love for you to just kind of speak to this . I think having you and Ken here is just so neat because both of you have been in the limelight and under attack by the world . We're talking right now about atheists , but the way as Ken talked about God taking that which the devil meant for evil and using it for good , your whole thing with the banana man thing , I mean that was .

Speaker 4

Yeah , that was for me . That was God turning something that was evil into good , and people can watch the movie , the film on the film , the fool on YouTube for the whole story . But I've got a question for Ken , if I may . Yeah , could you build an ark in Australia ? Could you build an ark in Australia ? Would it work ? Could you build an ark in Australia ? Could you build an ark in Australia ? Would it work ? I mean , would you get the people out , or is Australia more anti-Christian ? Well , here's the thing .

Speaker 1

You know , when you realize it was in 1980 that I and a person a friend of ours that was one of the board members actually helped to start our ministry in a home in Australia . We stood on a piece of property and prayed that God would let us build a creation museum . Now that was in Australia , 1980 . In fact , the burden for the creation museum goes back to the 70s when I was a schoolteacher taking students to museums and finding they were always from an atheistic , evolutionary perspective and saying , lord , why can't we have a creation museum ? So that burden goes way back then . So I'll answer your question . By the way , I know I'm talking about creation museum . You asked about the Ark . We'll get there . I'll answer your question . By the way , I know I'm talking about Creation Museum . You asked about the Ark . We'll get there .

Speaker 4

The answer is in Genesis .

Speaker 1

Yeah , the answer is it's just a long way to get there . But I say that to say here I was thinking , oh , we could build a Creation Museum in Australia . And then in the 80s I came over speaking in America , speaking all across America . It's a long story , but in 1987 came over to work for seven years with the Institute for Creation Research late Dr Henry Morris , late Dr Dwayne Gish In San Diego . I remember them in San Diego . So we lived there for seven years Instead of returning to Australia .

Speaker 1

There's something that really hit me after being here See , australia only has about 25 million people , probably way less than 1% born-again Christians , so it's a very pagan culture , not that many Christians , and it doesn't have a philanthropic base like America does . And I realized America was the center of the business world and so many more Christians here . I mean the population is much bigger , but the percentage of Christians , those that even go to church , whether they're Christian or not , but those interested in Christianity is far greater . I mean it's a massive percentage really . So there's millions of Christians in this nation and millions interested in the Christian faith . And also it's a nation that has sent missionaries out around the world and provided funds for missionary work . I mean the philanthropic basis , particularly of the previous generations , not so much the younger generations . They're not as philanthropically minded .

Speaker 4

So you're saying Americans know how to give .

Speaker 1

Americans do . They know how to give and we realized too . If you're going to have a facility like the Creation Museum and then the Ark Encounter , do you know how much they cost to run every day ? It's an enormous amount .

Speaker 2

People don't realize that .

Speaker 1

It's maybe more than 50 bucks , You're talking about six-figure amounts per day right . Six-figure amounts per day and it just costs a lot of money , and so you've got to have the numbers coming to be able to pay for it . And in fact we get a total number of visits right now between the Ark and the Creation Museum about 1.5 million a year .

Speaker 3

That is unbelievable .

Speaker 1

That's a total number of visits .

Speaker 2

That is mind-blowing .

Speaker 1

And the ticket prices , pay for day-to-day running , basically , and pay for general daily maintenance , but not upgrading exhibits , not adding new exhibits , not major renovation or anything like that . And then we've also got the rest of the ministry . I mean , we do sell curricula and sell books , but we do a lot of mission work ourselves and we allow 10 and under to come in free . Disney won't do that .

Speaker 4

So you have staff to pay also , we have staff to pay .

Speaker 1

We have 1,500 staff actually .

Speaker 4

That's even more than us , just by a few .

Speaker 2

We have 750 full-time and 750 part-time and seasonal . That's mind-blowing . Yeah Well , we want to get a little bit into what we're talking about in terms of the world coming against the church . Oscar , help us understand why this is , what's the nature of it , the foundation of why the world opposes the church . Is there something that is to be expected in connection with that ?

Speaker 5

Certainly in A . It's been happening since the beginning of the foundation of the church and there's actually a bit of hopefulness in that reality . But before I even go back then , I want to recognize that there's been a shift . Aaron Wren , in his book Life in the Negative World , he talks about these three recent shifts in the perspective on Christianity . So he talks about it as a positive world , a neutral world and a negative world , and this is predominantly US culture . So he says the positive world on Christianity went from 1964 to about 1994 . And he terms it like this positive world .

Speaker 5

Society at large retains a mostly positive view of Christianity . To be known as a good church-going man or woman remains part of being an upstanding citizen in society . Publicly being a Christian enhances social status . Christian moral norms are still the basic moral norms of society and violating them can lead to negative consequences . After 94 , he would say that we moved to a neutral world towards Christianity from 94 to 2014 . He defines that like this Society takes a neutral stance towards Christianity . Christianity no longer has privileged status but is not yet disfavored . Being publicly known as a Christian has neither a positive nor negative impact on social status . Christianity is one valid option among many within a pluralistic , multicultural public square . Christian moral norms retain some residual effects After 2014, .

Speaker 5

He would say we move to a negative world . A negative world is in this era . Society has an overall negative view of Christianity . Being known as a Christian is a social negative , particular in the higher status domains of society . Christian morality is expressly repudiated and now seen as a threat to the public good and new public moral order . Holding to Christian moral views , publicly affirming the teachings of the Bible or violating the new secular moral order can lead to negative consequences .

Speaker 5

Now to your point . The positive and neutral world are actually the weirdness throughout most of human history . It is unusual where Christianity held such a strong moral , positive perspective in the world . From the beginning of the church 2,000 years ago , people looked at Christians as weird and as a problem . Rome persecuted Christianity from the jump and so in some ways , while we feel the effects of moving from positive to neutral , in other ways we're actually moving back into an ancient norm and how we're treated in society in a negative way .

Speaker 5

And that actually brings me this might sound odd that actually brings me a sense of hopefulness , because throughout history Christianity has thrived when it wasn't in a neutral or positive world . The persecuted church in Rome and the Middle East exploded . It was the fastest growing church In the 1040 window . All of the areas where churches are being persecuted , christianity is exploding . It's almost like American Christianity got fat and lazy and we lost our ways , and so there's a hopefulness that this persecution I mean it's almost not right to call it that , but this negative feeling that we're getting from society by God's grace will purify the church and make us more ready to proclaim his gospel .

Speaker 2

Yeah , you know , ken , you've talked often about the lines being drawn where it's just becoming more and more clear whether or not you're on the side of righteousness or not , and we've seen so much compromise in the church . But how crazy that we're living in an era where people are getting attacked for saying there are two genders . We're looked at as the weirdos in connection with some of what Oscar's talking about .

Speaker 1

Well , I think one thing you were saying there , oscar , is that one of the things we have to understand is when you look at the West in generations past and how the Christianized morality permeated the West and the Christian worldview toized morality permeated the west and the christian worldview to , to a degree , permeated the west . That's an abnormal situation . That's not how it has been throughout history . You're right , uh , and remember there's more in the broad way than the narrow way . Men love darkness rather than light . So it has been really an abnormal situation in that sense . And what what's happening now is more really , uh , representing where the world is at , because this raging battle between god's word and man's word has been raging for 6 000 years . It started in a garden and it has never let up and the battle continues to rage and you know , I I see it as when I was speaking at at Calvary Chapel of Chino Hills , I was explaining how , you know we live in an era that really started in the 1800s .

Speaker 1

You think of what the Reformation did , and I think what started in the late 1700s , 1800s was undoing what the Reformation did , the teaching of naturalism . You know , evolution millions of years . Really , the whole issue is naturalism , atheism , and so out of naturalism came this belief millions of years . Really , the whole issue is naturalism , atheism , and so out of naturalism came this belief in millions of years and Darwin's ideas and so on that much of the church then took and added into God's word and therefore diluting and undermining and compromising God's word , and so the foundation there in Genesis in particular is being eroded . And then we have generations who were sent to an education system that was very Christianized in a way in the past , but then they threw that out . And so then we've got these generations coming through who are totally secular in their worldview .

Speaker 1

The foundation of man's word and really the secularization of the culture and the catastrophic generational loss from the church has gone hand in hand . And that's why , you know , george Barner , a Christian researcher , said Generation Z are the first truly post-Christian generations . So what you're talking about when you say it's now in that negative sense is post-Christian . Post-christian means anti-Christian , and so we see that connection of the loss from the church , because the church didn't stand on God's word , and now we see the increasing secularization and there are many in the church sort of waking up and saying wait a minute , something's happened , what's going on here . But you know , I see it as the church's fault and I see it as the leaders who didn't take a stand on God's word , who compromised evolution millions of years with God's word Right .

Speaker 2

You know , ken , one of the things that I love , that you I'll hear you repeat it sometimes in your messages , and that's authority , authority , what's our authority ? And , mark , I heard someone the other day actually it's a well-known Christian leader and they were asked the question well , how do you defend against this without using the Bible ? And I heard this leader try to do that . Well , no , no , yeah , this is my personal belief . But aside from that , right , that's a tragedy we shouldn't do that there is no neutral territory , right ?

Speaker 3

It's like hey , I want you to prove to me that oxygen is real , but I don't want you to breathe oxygen while we have this conversation .

Speaker 3

It makes no sense . We have to use the Bible , bring it into the conversation , because it is our ultimate source of authority . If I wanted to prove the Bible's , God's word and not use the Bible to do so , well then that now becomes my ultimate source of authority . So we all have an ultimate source of authority , but as a Christian , it would only make sense for me to use the Bible because that is my source of authority . So when I ask a non-Christian what are you going to use to demonstrate your worldview to be authentic and true ? What do they say ? Well , I'm going to use common sense , I'm going to use truth , I'm going to use science , and you cannot account for these things outside of the Bible . So they begin to the word is borrow from our worldview to make sense of their own worldview .

Speaker 1

Hey , mark , let me ask you a question here , Because I often hear people say , well , you Christians start from the Bible . That's true , we do . And they say , well , that's circular reasoning . And so my answer and you can tell me what you think of this is that all reasoning is circular and it's a matter of whether the circle is real or not . And we would say , yes , circular reasoning because we start from the Bible . But it's a real circle because it's only a creator God that explains the laws of logic , the laws of mathematics , the laws of chemistry , because they're all immaterial laws . If you start from just man's word and have a materialistic universe , that circular reasoning doesn't make sense because it doesn't explain what we see , that's right .

Speaker 3

Yeah , so not all circular reasoning is a fallacy , right ? So we all use circular reasoning to authenticate what we believe , but as a Christian , we use what is known as virtuously circular , and a non-Christian will use viciously circular reasoning . So if I were to say , hey , I want to prove to you that I have the fastest truck in the world , you go , okay , prove to me , you have the fastest truck in the world , but don't use your truck . That would not make sense because my truck is that ultimate source . If I wanted to demonstrate that , I could bench press more than anybody in the world , but I can't use my muscles . Well

Circular Reasoning and Biblical Authority

Speaker 3

, that does not make sense . So the Bible , being God's ultimate source of authority , is canon . It is a measuring reed , the ultimate source of authority by which we make sense of everything that is happening around us .

Speaker 3

Otherwise , we're just left with you . Like vanilla , I like chocolate . Why are we even having this discussion ?

Speaker 2

Right ? Well , ken , also too , because accusing someone of circular reasoning is a truth claim , and then you have to ask that person what's your foundation for saying there's anything wrong with circular reasoning ? How do you even define it right ?

Speaker 1

and you know people are inconsistent all the time , like you just said . Uh , people who are not christians have to borrow from the christian worldview . They can't live not borrowing from the christian worldview in all sorts of ways . It's like when they say there are no absolutes , well , is that you want absolute Right ? Well , I don't believe there's such a thing as absolute truth . Well , is that statement absolutely true ? I mean , they're illogical , exactly , and the point is , if you don't have an absolute , you don't have the absolute authority of the Word of God . Then how do you define right or wrong ? How do you define good or bad ? It's interesting when I was debating Bill Nye , I debated him actually the 4th of February in 2025 was the 11th anniversary of that debate back in 2014 .

Speaker 1

Over 30 million people , I estimate , have seen that debate . Wow , even at the church I spoke at last night at Jack Hibbs Church , I had a few people tell me young people that they'd watched that debate . Some of those people were hardly toddlers when that debate happened .

Speaker 3

They're still watching that debate .

Speaker 1

They said how much it's impacted them . But then he came back to the ARC when it was opened and I took him through the ARC and we did a two hour informal debate and it gave me a much better opportunity to challenge him . Every time he said things to say well , how do you determine right and wrong , etc . And one of the things I said to him was Bill , what happens when you die ? He says when you die , you're done . And I said , well , if , when you die , you're done , why do you even bother fighting creationists ? What does it matter ? He says when you die , you're done . And I said , well , if , when you die , you're done , why do you even bother fighting creationists ? What does it matter ? I mean , what's the purpose of it all ? I remember that was so good .

Speaker 1

Then he would say , well , because we might make some great discoveries and so on that we can pass on to the next generation . And I said , yeah , and when they die , they're done . So what's the point of all that ? You know well , they might make some great discoveries , and well , when they die , they're done . I kept pushing them when they die , they're done . Then they die , they're done . Ultimately , there's no ultimate purpose and meaning , and I always say ultimate , because when you say to an atheist you got no purpose and meaning , that's that they say we , you know they define their purpose and meaning . It's their purpose and meaning they subjectively define right now , living in the here and now . But ultimately you don't have purpose and meaning because ultimately you die , you're done , you won't even know you were here , you won't even know anything ever happened . What is the point ? Why even bother ?

Speaker 4

And not only that . That's said to be the biggest mystery of humanity is not knowing what happens after we die . And yet they know You're done , You're done , so how do they know that ?

Speaker 3

You're done ? You're done , so how do they know that ?

Speaker 4

Back to this persecution thing . You were talking about both Ken and Oscar . We need not fear persecution . I always think back to the early 1980s . I was preaching in the local speaker's corner in the city of Christchurch and I came in and a friend of mine had started speaking . I'd given him permission to use the area . His name was Wally , and while he was preaching the gospel , a whole stack of peace protesters came across and stopped him speaking and I just felt how dare they ? It was like I just felt angry . So I just jumped down and started speaking , sharing the gospel . They ran across from him to me to put my fire out and when they did it , wally would burst into flames and it just kept going back and forth . They're running back and forth and what I got out of that was you don't realize . The fire of God dwells in you until the winds of persecution blow against you .

Speaker 4

It's just something special supernatural comes up in you an indignation and it wants to preach the gospel . And you see it happen again in the book of Acts . They try to put the fire out with the winds of persecution . All it happen again in the book of Acts . They tried to put the fire out with the winds of persecution .

Speaker 1

All they did was inflame it , yeah , and spread it further . You know , tozer ?

Speaker 3

said to be right with God often means to be in trouble with man . You know , spurgeon went on to say that the world is never burned at stake a casual Christian right . So when we begin to consider that we must be doing something right right , we're talking about not just stepping on toes , but being kicked in the shin , that I would imagine that the enemy has Ken Ham's picture right on a dartboard if you would . How frightening and wanting to take that out .

Speaker 1

You know . It reminds me of that scripture that I think you can apply a principle here too , where you know , talking in Revelation , I'd rather you were hot or cold . If you're lukewarm , I'll spit you out of my mouth .

Speaker 1

If you're hot , you're doing something . If you're cold , you're dead . But if you're lukewarm and you're compromising and so on , and what you say , a casual Christian or whatever , but you compromise God's word , they destroy . God would rather us be hot or cold , and when you're hot , that's when you get that persecution . You know , in talking about the way people oppose us and so on , did you know Bill Maher came to my office one day to interview me ?

Speaker 2

Oh , that was a famous clip , right ? Wasn't he trying to trap you ? Yeah , he did .

Speaker 1

In fact , they set up a false website and they made out there a documentary crew and the documentary crew got permission from our security to be in there to film this documentary . They didn't say that Bill Maher was going to be there and they brought him in the back door and let him in without security clearance . So I mean that tells you the the integrity of that man right and his group .

Speaker 1

But here's the interesting thing I didn't know who he was at the time because I don't watch hbo and stuff like this I had no idea who bill maher was , but , uh , he was sitting at my desk interviewing me and he was asking me all sorts of questions and I and questions about carbon dating and other things relating to the origins issue and I just kept giving him this answer , that answer , this answer . After a while I didn't realize what they were trying to do at the time was to trap me so that they could have something for that anti-God , horrible movie , religious oh that's right , and so anyway , at one stage the producer actually yelled at me , the producer .

Speaker 1

He was over there with his headphones . He said do you have an answer for everything ? And that shows you how important it is to be able to know how to answer questions right .

Speaker 4

So did you realize he was being antagonistic . Did he start off friendly ?

Speaker 1

Well , I just assumed they'll be antagonistic , so anyway . So then he changed course and he said what about all the contradictions in the Bible ? Now here's something that I have actually found Most non-Christians , if you challenge them the right way , they don't know why they believe what they do . They don't have the answers and they just regurgitate what they've heard .

Speaker 1

Now it's not true all the time , but I'd say 95% of the time it is so . Bill Maher says what are the contradictions in the Bible ? I had a Bible on my desk and I picked it up and I gave it to him and I said which one ? And he looked at me , looked at it and then threw the Bible on the desk and then went on . In other words , he didn't have a clue .

Speaker 2

He's just making those accusations . Well , they're not used to someone challenging them like that . So when someone does , they're like One of the things that Mark does often that I is just asking them the simple question when they're pontificating on their view , where do you get that from ? Or what do you base that on , right , mark ? I mean , they just find them well and ultimately they go back to themselves .

Speaker 3

When somebody says , you know you can't trust the Bible .

Speaker 3

You know because it's filled with mistakes or anything else you say . Well , in order to say that it's false , you have to be comparing it to something that is true . So where do you get truth within your worldview ? Right , we are just merely molecules in motion , right ? Protoplasm making decisions ? We are just weeds growing up in a field . You're growing that way , I'm growing this way . We can't say anything is intrinsically right or wrong . So you're making truth claims . Where do you get truth claims within your worldview ? Where does it come from ? If things are evolving , how do we know they're evolving for the better or for the worse ? All you know is that they are evolving , but you can't tell me that rape is intrinsically wrong in all places , at all times , for all places , in all places , for all people , unless you have an objective standard by which you're making claims and you're very angry at my worldview when in reality , we are all . We all have an appointment with death and we're going to and nothing really matters .

Speaker 1

They're angry because it's a spiritual issue .

Speaker 3

Right , and that's why .

Speaker 1

You know , I remember . When do you remember someone called Eugenie Scott ?

Speaker 2

Yes , of course .

Speaker 1

She was the head of the NCSE National Center for Science Education , which is nothing more than an anti-creation , anti-god particular group . And anyway , she came to interview me on behalf of the BBC when the Creation Museum was open . So she was in my office and she said to me , she said now . She said I'm a scientist , you're in about religion and you know , as a scientist , we know that you know when new evidence comes along , we're prepared to change our views , whereas your views are set by the Bible . You're not prepared to change your views of the Bible and you're not prepared to change anything . And I said well , I'm not prepared to change my stand on Scripture when it's very clear .

Speaker 1

And she was sort of making out , you're not prepared to change . She said I'm a real scientist , we're always prepared to change . And she kept emphasizing you know , we're scientists , we're prepared to change , you're not , because your views are set by the Bible . And so then I said to her so

Creation Museum and Ark Encounter Impact

Speaker 1

you're an atheist , right ? Yes , you don't believe the Bible is true . No , you don't believe anything in the Bible , in Genesis is true about origins or anything like that . And she said no . I said are you prepared to change any of that ? And she didn't have an answer . Wow , because her views are set and that's the whole point .

Speaker 2

Her views are set in regard to her atheism right , yeah , again , and they come at us in a way that is saying we're the only ones that hold a particular view . I mean , like we talked about the circular reasoning , same thing . You turned it on her and then , but again , what I love , ken , about what you guys do at Answers in Genesis is that you help believers to be able to handle themselves in those situations . It's not complex I mean , the things we're talking about here aren't . Anyone can learn them but it's getting equipped so that you can intelligently answer the world in a clear way .

Speaker 1

Hey , did you see ? Am I allowed to do an advertisement for a book ? Of course , do you have it here ?

Speaker 2

My daily readings book . Oh , we definitely have a copy somewhere here .

Speaker 1

It's really thick . I just did a new book on daily readings 365 readings , one for each day of the year , and it's a big , thick book and took me 50 years to write because I took 50 years of articles and redid them and reorganized them and so on . But you see , I'm just saying in relation to that book , the reason I did that is because I know there's a lot of great devotionals out there , daily devotionals , but I wanted to do something that was based on apologetics , biblical worldview and life's experiences of . I spoke to this atheist . This person told me this , this person challenged me about this on radio . Someone said this , and what I do is have that interspersed throughout as well . So it's real life examples talking about the culture and it's it's sort of equipping , yeah , and helping us to know how do you interact with people , how do you react with the culture sort of incorporated into those , those daily readings . Uh , because I believe many people don't know how to interact , they don't know the questions to ask , right , you know , so many times I have people say to me , someone come up to me and said this about you know the fossil record , or this about , uh , gender or whatever , and I say well , did you ask them how you got that view , or why you hold that , or where that came from , or where'd you get ? They don't ask them anything , they just say how do I answer them ? They don't even know . You first of all got to challenge them exactly . Where did you get that right ? On what basis ?

Speaker 1

I remember I was speaking once , uh , at this public meeting . At the end a local high school teacher got up . He's taught in the public school and he was obviously upset with me and he said everyone knows the fossil record supports evolution . He said that's fact and in front of everyone I thought oh well , I'll just this . And I said so what specifically in the fossil record ? And he said well , obviously all the fossils . I said what specific fossil ? What's your specific example ? How does that actually support it ? Eventually he sat down Wow , because you know and again , people need to know Christians actually learned information if they studied , and that's why we provide the apologetics books . We do , and you provide the material you do . If people actually do some study and have some information and are equipped , you can run rings around most of these people .

Speaker 4

So what's the name of your book again ?

Speaker 1

It's called Ken Ham . Daily Read .

Speaker 2

Daily readings how to drain your memory we go through the same thing with him .

Speaker 1

He doesn't remember it's daily readings , musings and I I forget the .

Speaker 5

I forget the exact time the book is so new it's uh I know , say real quickly , here it's you know as we're talking about atheism and individuals who feel so far away from god want to remind us on how available the gospel is for even the people persecuting us and as you were . I'm bringing this up because , as you were talking about bill maher , you you triggered my memory . I used to be such a fan of bill maher really I loved real time with bill maher when I was an atheist and then he had politically incorrect .

Speaker 2

I think that was one of the shows too .

Speaker 5

Yes , right around that same time I think , or maybe I'm switching those two in my head , but I remember when he first landed his show I was so pumped because he was pretty popular amongst , like my little atheist circle or whatever you know . But that reminded me of when we went to the Reason Rally , and I know I've told this story before . Dc was having this huge Reason Rally and we went out there to hand out tracks and preach the gospel . And I'm walking around the backside of the Reason Rally and I see the check-in for the backstage check-in and an old friend of mine is working it . You know this story . And so I walk up to him and he's like Oscar and I'm like what's up's up , dude ? We give each other a hug . He's like what are you doing here ? I'm like I'm here with ray comfort . He's all . That's hilarious , seriously , what are you doing here ?

Speaker 5

and I'm all seriously I work for ray comfort now . But that actually didn't come up until after he he saw me , he was so pumped he handed me a backstage pass and then he asked me what are you doing here ? And so I had the backstage pass already , and when he realized I wasn't kidding about that , he looked at the backstage pass and looked at me and he was like , well , don't take too long .

Speaker 5

But it's just a reminder to anybody who's listening and thinking about their family member , their friend , their neighbor , their coworker who are atheist and you think , man , they're so far from the gospel . They're not any further than any other lost person and it's only a matter of the work of the Holy Spirit to bring them to the saving faith .

Speaker 2

And God means to work through your faithful prayer and your faithful proclamation of the gospel and Ken , last night , as you were speaking , I was listening to you at the end of the message and it just so penetrated me . I've heard you speak so many times , but you really like , very intently , echoed this again and again . Nothing is more important than for someone to know the Lord before they die Absolutely , and that's the heartbeat of what you guys do . I mean , that's why we endure persecution and ill treatment from the world , because we care about their souls .

Speaker 1

And you know there's something I'd also said well , I don't know whether I said this last night , but I've said this many times is that people often say , oh , ken Ham , he's that young earth creationist . And you know , there's a seminary professors and pastors that say , oh , yeah , they're on about young earth , and I actually don't like the term young earth , young earth creationist . Now you would say to me but don't you believe in a young earth ? Yes , I do . But when they say , oh , they're a young earth creationist , it's almost like that's all they're on about .

Speaker 1

Their major emphasis is about young earth . That's not true . Our major emphasis is biblical authority in the gospel , because the solution of man's problems was given for the first time in Genesis 3.15 , which is God's word in the gospel . That is the solution . Right , it's always been the solution . But we live in a time when there's particular attacks on God's word that stops people listening to the message of God's word in the gospel , which is why we deal with those issues of millions of years , evolution and so on , which are all based on naturalism . It's nothing more than atheism . And so much of the church has accommodated atheistic views into the Bible , because that's what they do views based on naturalism , and so our emphasis has always been God's word and the gospel , and our heart is to preach the gospel . And at the Ark and the Creation Museum I was told by Christians , if you're overtly on about the Bible and the gospel , people aren't going to come .

Speaker 1

We're overtly on about the Bible and the gospel and we answer all sorts of questions and 30% non-Christian come . And the interesting thing is , in the surveys that we have done in recent times , thousands and thousands of surveys of those . If you just take the Ark alone not even the Creation Museum , just the Ark when we've asked how many people do you know of someone who committed their life to the Lord , jesus Christ became a Christian as a result of coming to the Ark , it's 6.3% . Wow .

Speaker 1

If you're looking at a million people and there's more than a million , you if , if you're looking at a million people and there's more than a million , but if you're looking at a million people , that's 63 000 people . If that's anywhere near valid , you realize the incredible impact gospel impact it's having , because we don't hide , uh , the gospel and we don't hide that we're on about god's word and you know , faith comes by hearing , and hearing by the word of god , and so we're an evangelistic ministry .

Speaker 1

And so those attractions , yark , the creation museum and so on they're evangelistic and that's why they have such an impact . And I think what's happened is many of these theologians , seminary profess and others , because of their compromise , they try to make out oh , you're just on about young earth , you're just on about evolution , right ? No , we're on about God's word and the gospel , and those issues that you compromise with are undermining God's word and the gospel , right ? And you're actually helping the atheists . Ever thought about that ? So true that those who compromise are helping the atheists .

Speaker 2

Well , what makes me mad is they wax eloquent about all their theories and all these things . They do nothing to reach the lost . And they're professing to be Christians , they care nothing about the souls of the lost .

Speaker 1

How many of them see ? 63,000 people a year .

Speaker 2

Who was it that said I like the way I do it better than the way that you don't ?

Speaker 4

I think it's Dale Moody . Is that Moody ? That's good I like that yeah .

Speaker 2

And so , oh , ken , that's so so good .

Speaker 4

Speaking of that , that book title is Ken Hamdailey 365 Musings , Inspirations , Answers . That's it . Wow , that's it .

Speaker 1

And you know what it is so thick ?

Speaker 3

It . You wouldn't be able to carry it . I wouldn't be able to carry it .

Speaker 4

That was a cross insult , wasn't it ? It's so thick Ken , I've got a question .

Speaker 3

No , no , no Go please .

Speaker 4

When you get older , will you go back to live in Australia permanently ? We're praying .

Speaker 1

Please , you know what ? You'd have to ask my wife that question and I think she'd say something like you know , we have five children , 18 grandchildren , two great-grandchildren , and they all live in America , near us . Do you think she's going to leave her babies ?

Speaker 4

and go back to Mellie . Are you going to stay ? Yes , yeah . Kentucky is home , kentucky is home .

Speaker 2

That's right . Yeah , I asked kind of the same thing last night and you know the answer is of course , this is where the Lord has called you and your family's here , but we'd still like to see you go , ken . But anyway .

Speaker 1

Well , at least we live in a state that has four seasons . You only have one here .

Speaker 2

Oh boy , oh yes , that's all we want . Let's not even get into that we just want one season .

Speaker 1

Just remember . God said he made the sun , moon , stars , for signs and for seasons .

Speaker 4

So obviously California is just not included , To be clear . But Kentucky's fallen further than California . Yeah , To be clear .

Speaker 5

we have four seasons . During the summer , it's 85 . During the spring , it's 82 .

Speaker 2

During the winter it's 77 .

Speaker 5

And we love it . Yeah , that's right , that's true .

Speaker 2

So , ken , I want to ask you this , and any of you guys that want to weigh in on this as well , please do . But we're talking about , you know earlier , talking about , in light of the things you've done , it's been faith , right , taking these big steps , steps of faith . But faith is also necessary to endure during times of ill treatment from the world and persecution . Right , I mean Hebrews 11 , the hall of faith , when you get to the end of it . It talks about all that they endured , those that were sawn in two and they were living in caves .

Speaker 2

Hang on was it sideways or this way , but I mean ultimately , they persevered through faith and it's trusting the Lord .

Speaker 1

Well , you know , in Hebrews it also says without faith it is impossible to please God . And that's true and God requires to have that faith . I also always remind people because when they're talking about how could you build an ark creation ministry of answers in Genesis , when I talk about faith , I mean responsible faith , because when I look all the way through Scripture , sovereignty and responsibility go hand in hand . And so you know , it's not just that we said you know we're just going to go and do this and God's going to provide the money . Yeah Right , so you know we're going to go and we believe God's called us to do this . So we need to talk to people and tell them what we're doing and what the needs are , and we need to plan it carefully and we need to look at that and we need to work out ways that this could happen . And trust God will burden hearts to give . You know what I mean there's got to be that responsible aspect of things as well as trusting the sovereignty of God . So you know responsibility and sovereignty go hand in hand . I say that it's the same in salvation , the same for everything through Scripture , and we've got to remember that it's not just blind faith it's . The atheists have blind faith , but the faith we're talking about is a very different faith . It's an objective faith , it's a faith that makes sense of the world . And when we step out in faith god , he expects us to use use our brains too , and you know and to be responsible for what we're doing when we've .

Speaker 1

We're talking about going full-time when we we had no money and I was a school teacher and going full-time in the ministry how could we do that ? So we contacted a few people , friends , and said , if we did this , would you support us ? And they said yes , because we need this ministry Now . No guarantees , but yes , and that was a part of us saying okay , if we do resign and do this full time , then we send letters to them and say here's what we've done , would you help us ? And then people started to give to us in various ways . And that's that responsibility and faith . And , as I said earlier , as you go on , your steps of faith are bigger , and so , you know , sometimes I think some of our staff think I push them to the edge and they're hanging on by their fingernails . You know , scratching down the side . But you know , if you want to please God , you've got to be prepared to step out in faith .

Speaker 2

Yeah , well , and part of that verse is he who comes to God must believe that he is and that he's a rewarder of those who diligently seek him .

Speaker 2

right , and that's a part of that . And , mark , in terms of faith , like Ken's talking about faith , we can't divorce faith from the object of that faith , right , and so I'd love you to speak to how our faith in God and His character and His Word informs us to take you know , yeah , it should be enough for the believer to know that God knows when you go through difficult times , when you know the pilot , the conductor , when you know the one who's in charge , it sets you at ease .

Speaker 3

Cs Lewis said hardships often prepare ordinary people for extraordinary destiny . We are all just ordinary people but as a Christian , we are indwelt with the Spirit of God and we have an insurance plan that is out of this world , that nothing can happen to us unless God says that this is perfect to happen to you . So to live outside the boat , to live on the crashing sea , to be able to mock the storm around us because we know the weatherman is

Stepping Out in Faith Despite Obstacles

Speaker 3

the ordinary place to be and it makes everybody else look and say , well , that looks extraordinary . We are on a quest to know God and to make Him known . Let Him , who glories , glory in this , that he knows me and that he understands me . This is life eternal . That they may know you , the only true God in Jesus Christ , whom you've sent . His thoughts for us outnumber the sand of the sea , and the thing about God being God is that he doesn't need to have the same thoughts that he has for me to be towards you or to be towards you , and we have all of eternity for God to reveal Himself to us .

Speaker 3

The Ark and the Creation Museum and the things that are happening they are all just an inlet , an opportunity , a soapbox to point people back to Christ . And if we are not pointing people back to Christ , well then we're failing pointing people back to Christ , well then we're failing in our mission . We're running with a message that doesn't actually affect people . So this is why I love answers . In Genesis , they realize that hey , listen , we have a short period of time . This is what people are into , this is where the lies are at , and Jesus is the truth . The truth will set people free , and it's not going to be comfortable when it sets people free . But I'm all along for the journey and I'll go anywhere as long as it's forward . Do whatever you want to do with me , because I know the person to whom is doing , who is at work in me . Both are willing to do for his good pleasure .

Speaker 1

Amen . You know , I was interviewed by Jack Hibbs for his podcast before I spoke at his church , and one of the things I was saying was and I said now I've got to put the caveats in here , so don't misunderstand me and that is that we need more Christians in government . We need more Christians on school boards , voting the right way , being salt and light , voting in accord with a biblical worldview . But we've got to remember something Government is not the answer and legislation is not the answer .

Speaker 1

Too many people put their faith in government , put their faith in legislation , and what have you seen happen with administrations that come and go in the American government ?

Speaker 1

They change the laws this way , the next one changes them that way back again , the other one changes it back this way , then they change them back that way . I mean , the same sort of thing is happening now Laws in regard to gender and supporting abortion and other things are being changed this way because they went that way , which is a reminder of this . Ultimately , we've got to remember something the solution is always God's Word and the Gospel , because until you have regenerate hearts , hearts and minds that are changed in regard to God's Word and the Gospel , who then build their thinking on God's Word . They're the ones that change the culture , because then they get into positions of power . They get into positions where they're salt and light , like they should be . And so you know , the Bible doesn't say go into the world and change the culture . It says go into all the world and preach the gospel . And the more that we see hearts and minds change , the more that will impact the culture .

Speaker 2

You know , ken , I always ask you numbers and we talk . I ask you how many people visited the Ark . You know how many people are being reached through your Vacation Bible School curriculum , how many people are being reached through your Vacation Bible School curriculum , how many people are being impacted through your resources ? And the reason why those numbers are significant to me is because of what they represent . Not even so much as how many people are , so to speak , being impacted , but what they represent is a ministry whose heart is fully sold out to God . And what else are we going to do ? Like ? I mean , you look at the world athletes go all out on their sports and we hail them . You know businessmen that are conquering industries oh , they're great . But for some reason , when Christians are sold out and I'm not talking about weirdo , super spiritual Christians , but just given over to the work of the kingdom , oh , don't be too legalistic , that's kind of too much . We're called to be on fire and to lay it all down on the line and right . That's what the whole mission is .

Speaker 1

And my mother drummed into us and I'm sure you've heard it many times . She always drummed into us it's only what's done for jesus at last , because nothing else lasts . It's only what's done for jesus at last . And it , and to remember that , and and to remember as parents , every child conceived in a mother's womb is a being who's going to live forever and ever and ever and ever and ever in heaven or hell , to put it lightly ?

Speaker 1

doesn't that make you realize how important it is to look at spiritual aspects , like the verse you quoted before ? I think was from Jeremiah but boast in the fact that you know the Lord , don't boast in your riches .

Speaker 1

Don't boast in other things , Boast in the fact that you know the Lord . I put it this way I do a talk on the family and Christian education and so on , and I say imagine this proud parents convention . My son's a movie star , my son's a doctor , my daughter's a very famous person who's very rich , my son is this . And someone says well , my daughter and son know the Lord . And I say to people I would rather my children be ditch diggers and go to heaven than some famous academic and rich person and go to hell Because it's their eternity .

Speaker 1

And that's what we're on about , aren't we , our ministries ? We recognize every human being is someone who's going to live for eternity , with Christ or without . Doesn't that give you a burden to say we've got to reach them with the truth , with God's word and the gospel .

Speaker 2

Yeah , and Ray , you're always saying I mean , I recently was talking about this crazy pain in my tooth , the worst pain I've ever experienced , when the doctor was giving me the shot , you went through the kidney stone thing , ray . And something you always say is you're horrified that people are going to hell , and that should be our motivation .

Speaker 4

Breathtakingly horrified . And it's good to meditate on hell and God's justice and man's sinfulness , because it motivates , wherefore , knowing the terror of the Lord , we persuade men . If you don't know the terror of the Lord , you won't persuade men .

Speaker 1

You know , ray , I'm sure you do the same as what I do , like in the city of Brisbane , when I'm walking down the city sometimes and the mall and seeing all these people and I stand there and think , hmm , probably only one out of a hundred of these is going to heaven . Wow , 99 out of 100 aren't Wow . 99 out of a hundred aren't Wow . How do we reach them ?

Speaker 2

Amen . Well , this has been extremely encouraging for us , Ken , I know , for those that are listening and friends , those of you listening . I hope you've recognized today that what we do as a church when the world comes against us , is we go toward them in love , we stand up for the truth , but we don't forget that we're their servants . We're bringing them the gospel and they hated our master . They're going to hate us , and so let's remember that . Let's not get discouraged by it , but let's remember God is sovereign and in control . And you know , Ken , we joke a lot , we rib each other a lot , and that's a part of our really , it's a part of the affection of our friendship . But you guys at Answers in Genesis and you as our friend , are our closest allies in ministry , and the Lord only knows the value that you bring to our lives through your friendship , through your encouragement and through your stand on truth . We always talk about this . Our allies are getting fewer and fewer .

Speaker 1

Yeah , I think about the same thing . I mean , when I think about who in Christian ministry and what leaders in Christian ministry , you know , can we really be close to and be friends with , and well , you're number one . And then I try to think of number two . But , you know , I think of the past . You think of some of these greats from the past who really stood up for God's word D James Kennedy , right , jack Woodson , word of life , and then even people like Dr Henry Morris and Dr Dwayne Gish , and you could go through and name some of these greats of the past .

The True Solution: God's Word and the Gospel

Speaker 1

And where are they today ? Where are those sorts of leaders today standing out like that ?

Speaker 1

Today , it just seems very few and far between . And how many organizations are really standing on God's word and not caving to the pressures of the culture ? And when I am talking to people who donate and support our ministry , they say one of the things we're so thrilled with that your change has not changed . Your stand on God's word has not changed . Amen , you know , because God's word doesn't change . That's right , right , even though the culture does . And I know you guys have the same stand we do , and that's why we get on so well together and why we have such a great friendship . We work together , you , and why we have such a great friendship .

Speaker 2

We work together . We have different emphases and different heights . Some have no height at all .

Speaker 1

Different levels of intelligence , of course . Different levels of intelligence .

Speaker 2

I don't have to sit on a two-foot-high cushion on a chair , to be seen at the microphone . Oh man , I love it . Well , praise God . Ken , again , what a joy to have you , and may we continue in our partnership . We always talk about this to avoid that mission drift and to stay faithful to the Lord and His Word . So there you have it , friends . Maybe we'll do this again sometime . We'll see if you liked it . Maybe we tortured you . Thank you for joining us , friends . You know all this stuff . I'm not gonna repeat it . Ken Ham's here . I'm trying to get away from him . We'll see you here next time on the Living Waters podcast he's trying to ham it up where Ken Ham has no idea what he's doing .
