We have this God-given value, regardless of what job we will have, regardless of what we look like, regardless of anything that we might be able to perform, it is innate, it is birthed inside of us by God, intrinsically there. And as Christians, think about it, we are God's workmanship. You know, his poetry. You know, regardless of how you look or what you're able to perform, that you are on display, not because of the way you look, not because of some function that you can perform, but simply because you're created in God's image.
SPEAKER_04Ominous sounding, isn't it? France. Hmm. I wonder who's worthy of it. Are you What if, say, like uh someone's in church, they're they're worshiping the Lord, um, they're standing up, corporate prayer is happening, they're totally focused on the Lord, hands behind their backs reverently, and all of a sudden someone yanks their wristwatch. Like trying to steal it? Oh, that's what it was. Someone trying to steal your watch. Someone, yeah, I wonder who.
SPEAKER_00Did you see me do it?
SPEAKER_04Did I look at look at him now, adding sin to his sin. Laura goes. Mark! Oh, did she? Good on you, Laura. But it wasn't me. Yeah, sure it wasn't you. Look at him, see?
SPEAKER_05Was it your old nature? Terrible. It was. It was his old nature. It was Adam before he's buried in it. It was Adam.
SPEAKER_04Um but see, this is Mark's MO. What did he do, right, as Oscar was reverently praying? It's a theme. It's it's it's ongoing. And I I prepared to share this before he did that to Oscar. Oh, you did? Right, Oscar? What were you doing? Tell the people.
SPEAKER_01I was praying. Yeah, reverently. And we're burying it hidden and reverent. Yeah, right. Reflecting on the reality that I was speaking to the creator of the universe. Right. And Mark was goofing off.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and he did the clapper.
SPEAKER_00Right in the middle of it. Right in the middle of it.
SPEAKER_04To interrupt Oscar.
SPEAKER_00Are you saying the clapper accidentally slipped in claiming?
SPEAKER_04So, friends, there's only one thing appropriate at this moment, and it's simply to do this.
SPEAKER_03Excommunication.
SPEAKER_01Well, it is important that we don't surround our lives with only believers, and that's kind of the reason why Mark is on the podcast.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Oscar for the win. Oh man. By the way, um, my watch, isn't it glorious? No.
SPEAKER_00I realized I had a wrong part of the clasp.
SPEAKER_04Wait. Says the guy who wears grandma sweaters. What, Mark? Dude. I hit the wrong part of the clasp. Is that what the whole deal is? Oh, you're trying to hit that. It's an elephant. Look at the size of the thing. I've had the same watch model for like 20 years. It looks like an eye watch. And Mark knows how I love to put it from the camera when I'm recording.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, can you help us understand that? Because you know you have a watch on your phone. It's built in. And that your videos that you record on your phone timestamp, and yet every time you record, you record your watch on your wrist and then the situation. Why? What's happening? Really? There's only one thing appropriate for what you just said.
SPEAKER_00Nothing. Thanks for informing me, Oscar. That'll embarrass your family when you're doing it.
SPEAKER_04Informing me, Oscar. It's for the visual. You don't see that dumb thing. It's not up there the whole time.
SPEAKER_02So all right, Frank, it's time for a cool classy comment.
This is from Brian Ledke. L-E-D-T-K-E. I love that spelling. And he begins with, of course, hello, Franz. Man, where to even begin? I first heard of your podcast after I saw Easy Speaking at the Answers in Genesis Men's Conference 2024. I listened to one episode and I haven't stopped since. I've been a Christian my whole life, but have also kind of been waffling in the middle, never fully committing my entire life to Jesus, but never going fully to the world either, Mark Spence. I hated living in the middle. But ever since I started listening to you guys and have been encouraged every episode to be in the Word daily, praying constantly and just hearing completely biblical teaching from such godly men, my life has been radically different. Things I desired before aren't desirable anymore. The life in the middle isn't enough anymore. And just thank God every day that He is using you for to encourage so many brothers and sisters across the world. Please don't ever stop this podcast. And I'm looking forward to hearing from and meeting Mark Spence next year at the AIG men's conference. Yes, more so even than Ken Ham. Ha ha. Woo! Yes. This is a ham, Mark. Whoa.
SPEAKER_06That was a very nice email. Why didn't you cry during that?
SPEAKER_04Those are some bragging rights because I cried when I was reading it about I let the tears out. Thank you. Thank you, brothers, Brian. Thank you, Brian. Appreciate it. Mark, you need to escort Brian to Ken at the conference. I should. And have you tell him what you told me? Have him community.
SPEAKER_00I'm looking forward to that conference. So you spoke at the men's conference at the Ark this year.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I'm speaking at it next year.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. No, this year, what was it? Was it men's this year? I can't remember. I speak there so much again.
SPEAKER_01They only invite me to speak at the little boys' conference. No, they don't like you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was men's last year. This year I've done homeschool and then I'm doing pastors coming up too.
All right. You've just entered the quality question section. Mark Spence is going to answer this one. Oh. Hello. So my question is: what do you do if you feel like a spiritual outcast? We were really hurt by a pastor and his response to genuine questions concerning a sermon of and passage of the Bible. He even accused me of being a heretic, questioning God's authority by questioning his authority, etc. Was so heartbroken about the passage that it kept me up at night, and our families scoured the scriptures and bought hundreds of dollars in commentaries and books to learn more. Anyway, I love the Lord, and to be honest, it really rattled me to hear a professed man of God equate me with something detestable. It felt uh it left me feeling like a spiritual orphaning outcast. Where do I go if I've been rejected by the church or an authority deems me outside of God's will? Wow. Well, that's we'll keep that anonymous, but yeah.
SPEAKER_00Should be. I remember you uh sending this to me, and I I was meaning to read it, so I'm glad you read it. Um what would I what would I do if I feel like the church is against me, my pastor is against me. Um boy, that I don't think there's a blanket answer that you can give to something like this. Because what what do we tend to want to do, right? Our our culture tends to want to just run. You know, something's broken on the washing machine, just throw it away, get into one. Something's wrong with that, sure, there's a little hole. You know, don't sew it up, just get rid of it and move on. And I think that we have what we're missing out on trying to work through things. My pastor has said something that I don't like. I'm gonna go to the next church, right? And now that carries over in all sorts of things, relationships, uh, marriages, uh, jobs. I think that we lose the sight of trying to be at peace with Omen as much as it is possible. That we lose the idea of trying to critically work through something, and we run from anything that is uncomfortable. We we run from the idea of trying to work through things. So, what what would I do? I would try to work through things. It's like if you if you give a book to your pastor, you want him to read it, you don't just give it to him. He's gonna add it to his library of a thousand books. You say, you know what, this book is really causing me to rethink through some things. I was wondering if you would, you know, read it and get back to me with your thoughts. Um, Pastor, I feel like that we're we're not exactly connecting on some areas. I wonder if there's a miscommunication or misunderstanding on my part, on your part. Maybe we can get a cup of coffee and try to work through something. Um you you may need to bring in another elder, uh maybe even a deacon if if the elders are unapproachable or if it's a too large of a church.
SPEAKER_07No.
SPEAKER_00So first and foremost, I would try to work through it. I would also seek uh wisdom from the multitude of people. Why? Because there's wisdom in the multitude of people, of counselors. And then as a as a kind of a last resort, I would I would move on. But I would try to work through it is first and foremost. Anything pop out to your head easy?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I would say, you know, gauge how long have you been at the church? Is it a fruitful church? Is this characteristic of your pastor? When you review your attitude when you spoke to him, did you have a bad attitude? Were you were you um harsh? Were you condescending? What triggered him doing that? Um if he did do that in that way and it was harsh, it's unjustifiable. I mean, calling you a heretic, were you examine what you were asking him about? Were you implying this is your view? Was it heretical? So just self-examination, right? I I've learned in relationships that the number one rule is never presume I'm innocent when there's there's an issue, even if it's something that came up in my own mind of some way someone's treating me. Did I say something? Did I act in a certain way? Did I forget their birthday? You know, whatever. Just thinking, thinking through things like that. Um, and then humble yourself. If you do that, and and it really was just that, hey pastor, we have a question about this. We're just wondering, you mentioned this in the passage. We had seen this in the word, and we're concerned, you're a heretic, you know, how dare you question my authority. Uh I would move on uh immediately. So yeah? That's great. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'd like to say something. I used to have a similar dilemma when I would hear my pastor preach the modern gospel, and he was unapproachable. Um, but I I consoled myself with saying, and I said to other people, don't get upset about the goings on in the goldfish bowl when there's a whole ocean to fish in. You know, this you can learn what not to do by hearing someone do something wrong, and you just don't do it yourself. So don't lose your zeal for the loss, don't let bitterness get in your heart, and read the book of Tale of Three Kings.
SPEAKER_04Ooh, Tale of Three Kings. That was a good one, yeah. All right, hope that helped, friend. Get ready
for a shout out from the Sheik of Shawarma, number 10 top Christian podcast in Kenya. Ooh, number 16 in religion and spirituality, 194th top podcast out of any category in the whole country of Kenya.
SPEAKER_01That's amazing, especially consider the that the uh Africa as a whole is one of the fastest growing places for Christianity. Yeah, which is amazing. I think about that often because we think as Americans that we're somehow the epicenter of like what God is doing. But when you hear but when you hear about that uh in Kenya and other parts of the world, it's it's pretty remarkable. So thank you for listening. We're excited about what God is doing in your part of the world. Yeah, praise God.
SPEAKER_02And now a radically revolutionary resource this podcast branding. Scientific facts in the Bible.
SPEAKER_04I don't know why, but constantly, well, I do know why. I constantly get pictures sent to me from airports all the time. In those choice book racks, over 600,000 in print, probably more now, right? Yeah. So anyway, friends, check it out. Scientific facts in the Bible. Ray Comfort wrote it.
SPEAKER_06It goes through the door of the intellect into the conscience. So it's a great book to give to unsafe people.
SPEAKER_04Ray, what kind of accent did you write the book in?
SPEAKER_06It was a New Zealand accent.
SPEAKER_04Check it out, friends.
SPEAKER_06Don't forget if it had been American, it'd been far quicker. Get to the R's and just revive it.
SPEAKER_04That's true. Don't forget Living Waters mugged, having a study Bible, Living Waters TV, all that. Living Waters. That was supposed to be Backman.
SPEAKER_06So yeah. Has listening to this podcast for the first time and thinks I'd I'd really like to get some resources. Well, that's what yeah.
SPEAKER_04LigWaters.com. That's what it is. And don't forget the podcast YouTube channel.
SPEAKER_01We should have like a disclaimer if this is your first time listening, start here. Yeah. At the end, right away.
SPEAKER_06Guys, I got something I want to share with you. I love my wife, so I want to mention this. It wasn't on this date, June the 10th. I asked my childhood sweetheart, my best friend, and one of my most gorgeous women in the world to marry me. All three said no. Stupid, isn't it? So stupid. Made me laugh.
SPEAKER_01June 10th. Also, my daughter Maddie's birthday. Yes. 17 years old. I didn't?
SPEAKER_04Is it today?
SPEAKER_06No, you didn't hear you didn't hear how the titles. I asked my childhood sweetheart, my best friend, and one of my most gorgeous women in the world to marry me. All three said no. I know. That's why I laughed. So you got it. Yeah, he got it.
SPEAKER_04But I thought he's thinking that was really the day you proposed, and so. No.
SPEAKER_06No, I didn't propose. Who proposed?
SPEAKER_04I should have known that right away. All right, Verina.
SPEAKER_06Do you notice anything different about me? How's your perception? New shirt. No, no, no, no. What? I've got two booster seats. Is that where mine went? You don't need one. You guys, seriously, you keep stealing. This is so kind of a lot of people. That's where we want you, Mark Bottles.
SPEAKER_04All right, France, let's get
to it. Today we are talking about examining the eating disorder epidemic. Okay, guys, listen, I I looked up some stats. About 9% of the U.S. population, you understand it's about 30 million people struggle with eating disorders.
SPEAKER_06How did they know that? Well, they looked through the window or what?
SPEAKER_04They called everybody. They called everybody. Yeah, women seem to struggle with it more than average. Um but you guys know that it's listed, and we've talked about you know the whole category mental illness, and to be careful with that. But on the list of the deadliest mental illnesses, it's listed as among the the top.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yes.
SPEAKER_04And especially anorexia uh in that category.
SPEAKER_06Do you remember the Carpenters? Do you remember that Sonia group? Yeah, yeah. There were just a couple that were absolutely brilliant, beautiful. You'd know the songs that I say. She got it. Sharon Carpenter got uh anorexia, and everybody watched her die over a three-month period. And she was just gorgeous and just went like a skeleton and died.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you know, it's so easy, I think, for us to like I'll look at sometimes someone like that, and at first I'm I'm horrified and heartbroken, you know, and I see someone that that they're just like really a walking skeleton. But it's so easy to think in our minds, just start eating. What are you doing? This is crazy. Can't you see yourself?
SPEAKER_06But I mean, this really gets a grip on people. Well, they kill they kill the appetite through dieting, they get rid of that appetite and so that it doesn't do its duty. We we we take for granted that you feel like food. But if if every time you thought of food you felt like so nauseous, it felt felt like throwing up, that's what anorexia's like.
SPEAKER_01Wow. And it's important to recognize because we are talking about the category of eating disorder, that it's not just under-eating, it's also overweating, eating, binge eating, uh emotional eating. Um, eating disorders are a mental health condition. This is the definition where a person's relationship with food, eating, and their body becomes so distorted that it becomes a harm to their physical, emotional, or um uh, or mental well-being. Um, and so that can be categorized as under eating and overeating.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Oscar, I'm glad you mentioned binge eating. In fact, that's that's one of the biggest eating disorders. Uh, and oftentimes our minds do go to the other end. I think, I think sometimes um, you know, people don't think about that category because it it's not the one that we can see in terms of like someone who's anorexic or uh you know where we're divisible in many cases, but but there are times even with the other eating disorders like bulimia as well, and that there are other ones where you may not see it, but but it's happening, you
know. And so um so guys, look, scripture is clear on the fact that we're to take care of the temple of the Holy Spirit, but but Mark, in our day and age in particular, there seems to be an obsession with the body. What do you what do you think what do you think makes that the case? Social media play a big part of that, right?
SPEAKER_06Well, you know. Mom and Edna Mirrors everywhere. Don't forget they're named.
SPEAKER_00You know, when we were uh growing up, we would compare ourselves to tens, hundreds of people. Yeah. But social media has caused us to compare ourselves to thousands, hundreds of thousands, you know, of people. And we are following people. Remember, the whole idea of social media is to covet other people's lives. But by and large, right? If you look at somebody's Instagram page, you're going to see uh their their vacation, you're you're gonna see uh their promotion, you're gonna see uh their travel, you're gonna see them at the beach, you're gonna see what are you not gonna see? The argument that they had with their wife, right? You're you're not gonna and rightfully so. I'm just saying you're not gonna see the the dirty parts of life. So we compare them.
SPEAKER_06It might work though. It'd be so different. Just show a real ugly picture of you, and here I am having an argument with my wife, here I am smashing a plate. I'm really upset. Do it, right? Yeah, make that your next video.
SPEAKER_00Um you know when when we find uh our identity uh found in the way we look, we're gonna live in despair. Or you're gonna live in pride, right? You're you're gonna you're gonna compare yourself to somebody else, and it's never been God's design. You know, it's but we we joke that easy's favorite picture is a mirror, right? That's a joke. But you know, scripture says, uh, I will praise you for I am fearfully and I am wonderfully made, and we don't need to compare ourselves to other people. Final thought.
Um back in uh 1995, uh Hugh Grant. Yes, do you remember what remember the scandal around him? Oh, yeah, like a prostitution? Prostitution, right? So his first movie was coming out, and he was overwhelmed by this movie coming out. He was married to a supermodel, Elizabeth Hurley. So not just a model, but a supermodel who's known for being like one of the most elite, most beautiful, on the cover of like all the magazines, and then he got together with a prostitute and for $60 ruined his marriage. And if you compare the two, you you put the two together, and I I I wrote her name. Well, he saw her without makeup.
SPEAKER_06The super wasn't there. That's what it was.
SPEAKER_00Right. Uh Divine Brown was the this woman's name who was a prostitute. And sin does not have to make sense in order to partake in it. Yeah. Often sin doesn't, right? And and yet we will be attracted to sin more than what is reality uh because of lies that we've bought into and a lack of satisfaction of the way God has made us and the allotment that is inside of our lives. And that is a crazy thing. So I always remind my my kids of Hugh Grant being married to Elizabeth Hurley, committing adultery on a supermodel for someone who was not very attractive.
SPEAKER_04You can also remind them.
SPEAKER_00Remember the same thing. David. King David.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Remember the same thing happened with Tiger Woods. Married to a supermodel as well.
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah. You mentioned social media, and I think it it's escalated, but uh the problem has has come in my mind long before social media ever existed. Because before social media, people had magazines, uh, you know, marketing. Right, sure, ads all over the place. Matter of fact, so someone who's I think a very fascinating, I think I've mentioned this person before, but Louise Perry, she's not a Christian. She was a very outspoken liberal feminist that is now um written a book called The Case Against the Sexual Revolution and sounds uh shockingly almost like a Christian when she speaks. To be clear, still not a believer, but she's recognized the the effects that the sexual revolution has had on culture, which started back in like the 50s and 60s. And one of in in the opening chapters of her book, she goes over the dynamics between um uh what's the guy who started Playboy? Something Hughes? Uh Hugh Hefner. Hugh Hefner, uh, and what's the blonde girl that was super Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Marilyn Monroe, man, thank you so much. Okay, so in the book, she talks about Hugh Hefner and Marilyn Monroe, and and she points out that both of them were born, I think, on the same birthday in the same year. Wow. And both of them had a similar trajectory into meteoric rise. What's interesting is that Hugh Hefner ultimately kickstarted Playboy by showing uh nude pictures of Marilyn Monroe as a side note, she didn't get paid a single dollar. Those were stolen from a camera person, they were actually private images that he bought off a camera per uh cameraman against her uh will and used them to promote the first Playboy magazine. And so what Louise Perry does is she shows how both of these people, based on the sexual revolution, had this meteoric rise to their fame and fortune. But one of them died at like the age of 27 after having multiple abortions, multiple divorces, multiple drug issues, uh, ended up taking her own life or overdosing. We're not entirely sure. Which one, but basically, her life ends in tragedy, and and Hugh Hefner's life, you know, continues into financial success, and according to the secular world, is something to be praised. And what's interesting is that Hugh Hefner requested to be buried next to Marilyn Monroe. Why? Even though he took advantage of her. And she uses Louise Perry uses as an example of that the sexual revolution. Like, if you think about modern-day feminism, the sexual revolution gives this rise to the liberation of women. But she points out who gained from the sexual revolution. And she points out men did. Because ultimately, during the sexual revolution, what we did was we turn women's bodies into commodities. The primary purpose of a woman's body is a sexual desire or reproductivity. There's no value or worth, there's very little value and worth beyond that. And so when you listen, there's a lot of causes that go into eating disorders. There's biological and genetic based on upbringing. There's psychological in regards to emotional trauma. There's social in regards to bullying. But there's also the reality that there's this cultural view of what a woman's body ought to look like. And that ought to look like the definition of what it should look like is defined ultimately by by perverse men like Hugh Hefner. And that that's caused this push towards the expectations of women's bodies.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's that's really insightful. I had no idea he did that. That's just like it's diabolical. It is.
SPEAKER_00That's crazy. $75,000.
SPEAKER_04Man, that's insane. Yeah, um, you know, we uh we often think about like what are the causes of certain things. Because they're always surface level things, right? And Oscar, I love the fact that you you mentioned there are influences, right? We live in an influential age and we're very impressionable as people, right? But Ray, at the same time, you know, that there are those that that do it for vain reasons as well. There are
those that that just I want I want everyone to look at me. I want to be a certain type of person.
SPEAKER_06Mark keeps looking at me.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, why you keep looking at that guy?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, we all want we all seek the praise of it. What's behind? I think it's uh it's a it's a desire to be accepted. We all want the praise of men. I remember we're talking about earlier on. In my surfing days, um, I surfed for the praise of men, and I realized as I went on that all my surfing buddies surf for the praise of men, but one of them says, if no one was watching, I wouldn't even bother going out. But we dress for other people. I know I'm coming up to a wedding, and I know I'm gonna be inspected by Sue to see if I'm reasonable to go in public. Does this match this match this? So we are concerned about what people want. I mentioned recently I was speaking at a church where uh uh when you turn 70, something interesting happens to the human body. Everything kind of changes. Um my full-length mirror was starting to distort when I turned sideways, so I got rid of it. So it was just a cheap mirror. Um it was pathetic. Um and what was happening and uh uh is something called sarcopenia, and I mentioned it to Oscar before. Psychopenia? No, sarcopenia. It's uh uh Arnold Schwarzenegger talked about it, and you guys are if God lets you live are going to experience it. Uh what it is is a lack of a loss of muscle as you get older.
SPEAKER_01I'll never experience it.
SPEAKER_06No, no, because you haven't got any. So Sue was standing next to me. Sue was standing next to me as I picked up a 40-pound bag of chicken food, and this is what I said to her. Watch the bicep. Seriously. I turn around after I put it down, and she was not joking. She said, I missed her, I couldn't find her. That was sarcopenia. And one thing that's disturbed me for years, well, not really disturbed me, it just mystified me, is why is it that my heroes of the past, like Spurgeon and Moody, were kind of rotund. Because if you study their lives, they were godly men, and they definitely would have exercised self-control when it came to eating, but they were all had this built-in pulpit. And I realized that's sarcopenia. What's happening is the stomach muscles dissipate as you hit 70, and the stomach begins to bulge. And that's why you always see men who are over 70 have got this little built-in pulpit. And there's nothing you can do about it. But I'm not gonna give up. I'm gonna exercise self-control. I'm gonna keep fighting it.
SPEAKER_04Have you tried putting your stomach in the hole in your bed?
SPEAKER_06No, no, no, because I can't get out. You know I can't get out when I do that. I fall in. Uh anyway, what I do, and this is a key that's really helped me with with weight loss, or not weight loss, not putting on we're gonna have a feast here today. We've got people coming. Getting us ready. We've got people coming, and there's gonna be a whole stack of like a dozen different types of foods. This is what I always do, and it looks kind of weird. I take my plate, I go up and get one piece of chicken, go back and sit down and eat it. And what I'm doing is I'm curbing my appetite. So that's a good idea, right? What I've got, I've got this beast in me that it's a dog that just wants to eat. It's called appetite. What I'm doing when I do that with one piece of chicken is I'm throwing the dog a bone and saying, sit. I'm saying that to me. So when I go back the second time, I'm not governed by my appetite, I'm governed by common sense. And it really is a key because that that's so the appetite is so powerful within us. It's like a it's like a motor that we've got that God's given us, and the soul is what governs the brake, the steering wheel, and the accelerator. And that motor wants to run, and what you've got to do is learn self-control. Proverbs 13, 25. The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul, not his body. That's good. So the soul should determine what the body is.
SPEAKER_04Wow. I'm waiting for the next book, How I Overcame Psychopenia, or whatever you call it. Psychopenia. Psychopenia. Um there's you know, Ray, I was gonna be overcoming that. You just can't overcome it. I was gonna say with your with your strategy and what you do, there's also the element of not wanting to look like a glutton because people don't know how much you put on your plate, but you keep going back. You'd have to keep going back and forth. 26 times.
SPEAKER_06Often I say to my friends just jokingly, Did you get a plate? Because you can't see the plate because it's such a mountain. That's good.
SPEAKER_01I have a friend uh yeah, just one. Um he because he's cheap, he likes to eat or have a protein shake before they go out to dinner, because then he shows up at the restaurant and he's already full and he orders less food. Okay, let which is genius. That's actually genius.
SPEAKER_04Let me just tell you this, okay? Those that don't have interaction miss out on life. Like these two hacks, I mean, they're they're so cool. Like, you know what I'm saying? They're little things in life, but like duh, like, oh yeah, I could do that, or yeah, wow, that's good stuff.
SPEAKER_01Um, I think a big problem with anybody who's who's struggling in this space.
SPEAKER_06I go to a restaurant before I go out to a restaurant. Nice. Winter system. Yes.
SPEAKER_04Oh no.
At its core, here's the thing is is this isn't a so much a self-esteem issue as it is a worship and theology issue. And as you think about it, there's really two kinds of mirrors. There's the mirror that easy loves to look at.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01There's the mirror when you look at yourself. There's two kinds of mirrors. There's the mirror that when you look at yourself, you see uh comparison. You see yourself measuring up to social media, to the advertisements, to the expectation culture has, and you think, man, I'm not enough. I've never, I don't have the beauty, the complexion, the right shape and size, the right nose, the right ears, whatever the case. But then that's the mirror that reflects your face back to you. But then there's the mirrored reflection, which is to remember that you are an image bearer of God, which means that you reflect his glory and his beauty and his goodness. And this is so important. I was listening to uh Malcolm Geit the other day, and he's a he's a J he's a he's a poet, and he talks about the thing that brought him to God that that began his journey to understand who God is and become a Christian, is that he started to reflect on the God as the source of beauty. Now think about that for a second. Some people will, you know, as apologists and an evangelist, we'll talk about God as the source of truth. I am the way, the truth, and life. We'll talk about the God as the source of goodness, that he is the source of morals and ethics. That's how we know right from wrong. But for Malcolm Guite, his reality was God is the source of beauty. That when we look at the beauty of a waterfall, a rainforest, mountainsides, oceans, canyons, art, whatever the case might be, when we look at beauty, that ultimately there's this source of ultimate beauty, of awesome wonder, and that ultimate source of beauty, just like the ultimate source of good, the ultimate source of reality is God. Okay, now think about this. You were made in the image of God. So to reflect on your image-bearing qualities is to realize that your value doesn't come in comparing yourself to the world around you, but to recognizing that you were made in the image of God. And on that note, Psalm 139, you alluded to it earlier, that that he he formed us from before we were even took our first breath. There's no such thing as a rogue, you know, mole. There's no rogue hairline. Everything is shaped by God. I've used this illustration before, but um years ago, like for um Valentine's Day, I wanted to make my family heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies. And so I grabbed the dough and I shaped it into little hearts, and then I shoved it into the oven and out popped my heart-shaped cookies, except they looked like most of them look like livers more than they did hearts, you know. I think that often we look at ourselves and we're like, I'm a liver cookie. Somewhere, somehow I went wrong. But you're not an accident. God made you exactly the way he intended to make you for his purpose and for this day. And so to reflect on his beauty is to realize the confidence you have in that. Here's the last thing I would say is that years ago, my daughter, she was probably like eight years old, and she was reflecting on how much she loved her mom. She's like, Isn't mom so strong and so beautiful and so sweet? I mean, she was just in awe of her mom. And I looked at her and I was like, you know, you remind me of your mom. And I remember her breath catching in her. You know, she was like, ah, really? Why? Because to be told that you reflect the thing you adore most, man, there's your value and worth. You were made in the image of God.
SPEAKER_04It's like the the apostles that says, and and they knew they they could tell that they had been with Jesus. They were uneducated men, but they had been with Jesus, like you're reflecting him, you know.
SPEAKER_06So we have a problem. We have got a whole generation that need to know that God loves them, but we can't tell them straight out.
SPEAKER_07True.
SPEAKER_06God loves you. Because that's what the modern gospel does. What we've got to do is address sin, righteousness, and judgment. Point to the cross and say, There's the evidence that God loves you. And that'll make no sense without opening up the moral law. I just wrote an article on the word if. It's one of the biggest words in the English language. It's like the word it. It is huge. You can use it to describe the universe or a flea. It. Tiny, but it can be massive. And
the word if is huge if it's used correctly. There's a song that came out many years ago that uh that denigrated the word if. I don't know if you remember it. It's uh by Roger Whittaker. It was a big hit. It was called I don't believe in if anymore. If is an illusion. Ever heard that? No. It's worth checking out, it'll be online. And what he's saying is that we use if to regret. My dog got killed if only I hadn't gone to that place. If only I hadn't done that, this wouldn't happen. And that's an illusion. It's not facing reality. The dog got killed by the car, saying if only is just empty nothingness. It's vanity. Don't waste your time. So if can be used in a negative way, but I use the word if extremely positively in evangelism. And let me share how I do it. I don't know if you've if you've heard me do this, but you can have you can have an atheist who doesn't believe in God, doesn't believe in the Bible, doesn't believe in judgment day, doesn't believe in the Ten Commandments, but there's a way to get him to hear the gospel. And all you do is proceed your challenge with a word if. If God judges you by the Ten Commandments, you're gonna be innocent or guilty. He doesn't feel threat feel threatened by that because I'm talking about a fantasy in his mind. If you stand before God on judgment day and he judges you by the commandments, how are you gonna do? So he doesn't feel threatened and he'll go into it. What he doesn't realize is that I'm pulling in the commandments and stirring up his conscience. And now what started as a fantasy becomes a reality because of that accusing conscience. And it's so powerful I've used it for years, and it gets me in a door that's normally locked and bolted, his heart, just by using that word.
SPEAKER_04It's like go there with me and uh and you know, just track with me for a minute, and then you bring it back to but there's no and, ifs, or buts about it. That day's coming, and then boom. Yeah, but they were willing to travel there with you, yeah, you know. Oh these are the these are the dirty tricks Mark. Did you do the breathing? No, he's I mean, okay.
SPEAKER_00Uh you know, I I saw a um Mark's bed. I did see an interview between a host and a supermodel and one supermodel after another supermodel after another, he asked the question Um, when you look in the mirror, what do you see is wrong with you? And these were the most gorgeous, most powerful women in the world in that industry, and they all had something to critique. Whether it was their feet, their nose, their eyes, their eyebrows, something was there. There there was a focus. That was it.
SPEAKER_04Psalm 139, 14. I will praise you. You alluded to it, Oscar, the chapter, for I am fearfully and wonderfully. He didn't allude it, he actually said it. He quoted, no, he said Psalm 139. He talked about other things. I don't think he quoted that verse.
SPEAKER_00No, because I did.
SPEAKER_04He quoted it. Whatever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Talking about unity. Listen to it again. I'm fearfully and wonderfully made. Just that, right? That reality, right? And look, if you're ever feeling insignificant, always go back to this reality. It's impossible that you exist on accident. Right. It's impossible. And God didn't use some sort of assembly line factory, some cookie cutter pattern to make you. Think about how many human beings have ever lived. No one, as far as they can say who who's living, now no one has an identical set of fingerprints. Like that's that's how even twins have differences. As identical as they may look, they they are different. And so you don't exist on accident. God knit you together in your mother's womb, fashioned, formed you, stamped you with the DNA that you have, and then on top of that, as Mark and Oscar talked about, stamped his image on you.
SPEAKER_01Punched you in the face?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, boom, boom. And uh, and so you know, you have to you gotta grasp that, you gotta remember that.
SPEAKER_00And regardless, you're regardless of your circumstance and situation, yeah. I mean, you may have been an accident in the in your parents' eyes, but you were not an accident in God's eyes, right? Because God doesn't make any accidents. Did you guys follow this trending thing that happened uh not too long ago where these social media influencers um made the tough decision of having an abortion because their child had Down syndrome?
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, so that's terrible. Oh man. Isn't that crazy? They put themselves out.
SPEAKER_00What happened? What ended up happening, Mark?
SPEAKER_06We'll talk about it and then they got death threats and all sorts.
SPEAKER_00All kinds of crazy things happening. What I what did I want to write? What I wanted to post was you're you're you're still a father, you're just now the father of a dead child. That's what I wanted to post, right? But I started looking through the comments and I was saying they are getting absolutely filleted. I mean, that there's like no hope in the midst of the comment section. And person after person was contacting me uh with pictures of their own children who have Down syndrome, and inside the comments with their Down syndrome child and and talking about what what a joy they are, how beautiful they are. And and and they are, right? It's it's it's amazing here. But it doesn't matter what you look like or your circumstance or situation, you're you're still valuable, yeah, right. And as Christians, think about it, we are God's workmanship, you know, his poetry, you know, regardless of how you look or what you're able to perform, that you are on display, not because of the way you look, not because of some function that you can perform, but simply because you're created in God's image.
SPEAKER_04Intrinsic versus instrumental. You always talk about that, Mark, value.
SPEAKER_00And that's it, right? Our value is intrinsically there.
SPEAKER_06And this is what I just amplify that for us dummies.
SPEAKER_00Um, so well, to Oscar's point, right? We are created in the image of God, and that gives us intrinsic value. So intrinsic. Intrinsic. So, right, so even if you have No, I mean define intrinsic. Yeah, I'm trying to, you keep interrupting me. Yeah, you won't continue. Can you imagine being his school team? Just do it.
SPEAKER_06This is on unity now. Do it.
SPEAKER_00Right. So we have this God-given value, regardless of what job we will have, regardless of what we look like, regardless of anything that we might be able to perform, it is innate, it is birthed inside of us by God, intrinsically there, to be the counterfold of what the world has, instrumental value. I just posted a video on my YouTube channel, talking to a woman and said, listen, you're going to college right now to get an instrumental value, right? You become a doctor, I have a medical need, therefore, now you can perform a surgery. You have value to me. But listen, you're valuable regardless. The world only says you're valuable because of something that you can do or perform. God says, no, you're valuable because you're made in my image. That is it. So regardless if you're a homosexual or heterosexual, you're both valuable.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_00One of you are wrong. You might both be wrong if you're experiencing heterosexuality in a relationship outside of marriage, you're both wrong. But intrinsically, God given there, regardless of any outside or inside situation. Did we run through that again? It wasn't a few. So we have an instrumental.
SPEAKER_04Whereas instrumental, Ray, is connected to the idea of like, you know, you have usefulness like an instrument. And because of that, you're valuable. But that's yeah. I I've read this before, it's worth reading again by George McDonald. I would rather be what God chose to make me than the most glorious creature that I could think of, for to have been thought about, born in God's thought, and then made by God is the dearest, grandest, and most precious thing in all thinking.
SPEAKER_06So you compare that to what the average p in our generation believes, that they were a product of an explosion. Yeah. And primate related to primates.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, that's what leads to nihilism. It's that that mindset of like there's no purpose. There's no we are accidental. And it's man trying to find purpose. It's like when we question people about moral absolutes and they say there aren't any, and then they try to go after Christianity because of all of its wickedness. But there's no moral absolutes, you know? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh practical advice.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01This is actually a friend of mine, Cammy Jane. She's actually, she's on Instagram. She's a godly Christian woman, known her since she was in high school, and she talks about fitness and motherhood. And uh we love doing workout double dates with her and her husband, my wife and I do. And she pointed out how she recognized how when they talked about food as adults, how it might be shaping their kids' perspective on food in the body. So she said, you know, like language that's not helpful when you're in the home and your kids, your little kids are listening
is like, oh, I'm trying to lose weight. Oh, I look fat in this, I'm trying to fit in that dress, or I'm trying to look better in my shirt. I'm staying away from these kinds of foods because I'm trying to look a certain way. That kind of language creates an unhealthy dynamic between the relationship between food and ourselves. And it can also distort our kids' understanding of what it means to eat healthier. Rather than to eat to look a particular way. And so instead, like she puts, she points out, like, man, we try to say, I'm eating healthy, I want good energy, I'm staying fit. And and I I see this in my wife. Like, my wife loves to work out, she loves to eat healthy. She eats, you know, 1.5 grams of protein per body weight. She weightlifts every morning. But I I will tell as a testament, my children will have never heard my wife say, I'm motivated because I want to look good in that dress, because I'm trying to lose weight. Like when they ask her about her motivation, it's because she wants to be a healthy, energetic mother, available to her husband, a grandmother that's able to play with her kids. Those are the things that motivate her. It's health, not this body image perspective.
SPEAKER_06What protein does she eat?
SPEAKER_01A lot of chicken, a lot of turkey.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06Is that it?
SPEAKER_01Uh, pretty much. I mean, she does some red meat, but she didn't approach eggs.
SPEAKER_06Does she eat pre-chicken? Oh, that's eggs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. We love eggs. We love comfort eggs, actually. Yes. Right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And I think that the key issue really becomes identity tied to the biblical prescription related to our identity. Because, you know, it's like I want to lose weight. I want to, you know, look like this. I want to versus like, who am I? You know, we talked about this recently. And the issue is really, hey, am I a self-controlled person? Am I and be careful with self-control, right? Because we can look at the person who's who's not eating a lot saying, wow, they got a lot of self-control. But but what that could be is a lack of controlling yourself to be a healthy person and to eat in a healthy way. And so, so am I a self-controlled person? Next, am I gluttonous? Because that's legitimate. You don't want to be gluttonous. Next, am I am I a healthy person taking care of the temple of the Holy Spirit? When those become your motivators, then you're not focused on, I need to look like this. I need to, no, I I I eat healthy because I want to honor God. I control myself because that's right. I'm not gluttonous because that's sinful. And then that that impacts everything else.
SPEAKER_01And enjoying food. Like to talk about food as a source of enjoyment because it's a gift. Just like yeah, just I mean, just like all the other, whether it's sex, alcohol, or food, those are gifts from God to us that can be abused. And so when we talk about them, do we talk about them as a gift from the Lord or as something that's dangerous and abusive to our people?
SPEAKER_06The disciples ate their food with gladness, and then she's not mentioned ever again. Gladys.
SPEAKER_04Jerry Bridges, one of my favorite authors of all time, uh, The Practice of Godliness. He said, Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have in Christ.
SPEAKER_06Wow, that's beautiful.
SPEAKER_04The heart that is occupied with Christ has little room left for envy, discontentment, and self-preoccupation.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_04Uh at the at the heart of some of the things that people do. It's it's that element of discontentment, but also self-preoccupation. What's that illustration about an arrow uh fly in in mid-flight? It doesn't stop to examine its pot, it's just heads for the target. That's so good.
SPEAKER_00That's good. That's the way we need to run our race, right? Without looking to the left or the right, without comparing ourselves to other people. You know, most people treat their body. Uh the the way most people treat their body is the way we need to treat Christ. Think about that. We wake up thinking about our body, it's not a lot of people, uh, how they're gonna exercise, what they're gonna eat, and they lay all those things out. But if we engulf ourselves much in the same way of how I'm going to walk with Christ today, how I'm gonna treat the ungodly, you know, we would never go to God in prayer and give him a piece of our mind. Right? But you can give your spouse a piece of your mind or your your child. There is a way to communicate and there's a way to respond to what God has given us. And you our lives, our bodies, our temples are not ours, all right? They belong to the Lord. That we should be fit. We we should eat right. You know, I think of what is that passage in is it Psalm 103, 15, that God satisfies our mouths with good things uh so that we are renewed like that of an eagle, something something to that effect.
SPEAKER_06That'll do.
SPEAKER_00Um that'll do. We need to have a balanced Oscar's point. We need to run our race and to realize that we will be um more fit for the kingdom. You either pay now or you pay later, somebody once said, right? And so if you're going to work hard now with your body, you don't need to pay later on through the discomfort and the hardship of not working out and looking like Ray. Thank you. My motivating.
SPEAKER_04Uh Ray, all of this ultimately comes down to what what Jesus said in Matthew 6 25. Right. Don't be right concerned about your life, what you're gonna eat, um, what you're gonna drink, nor your body, what you're gonna put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing. And um, and then he goes on in verse 33, but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. Right? And so if you were if you were sitting down right now with someone who is preoccupied with self in whatever way, whether it's the satisfaction of eating a lot of food to make them feel good or the satisfaction of looking a certain way by you know, anorexia or bulimia or whatever, what would you say to them in relation to this? Like, how would you advise them? What what do they do? How do they get out of this?
SPEAKER_06Um, I'd say read John chapter four. Um when Jesus must go through Samaria, he wanted to go through there to speak to the woman at the well to see if she was well at the well. And he was concerned about her salvation. Stop it. He was concerned about her salvation, he was seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. That's exactly what Jesus was doing to a point where he forgot to eat. He said, I have food to eat that you know not of. And so what happens if you seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, everything should fall into how it should be. It should go into proportion. The appetite shouldn't govern you. Your looks shouldn't govern you, because what governs you is God's will and his smile and his kingdom. And so seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, all this other junk will be added to you. The world has it the wrong way around, puts the cart before the horse, and you're not going anywhere when you do that.
SPEAKER_01So, what you're saying is that Jesus spoke well. Yes, so well.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, are you well? Yeah, that's good. Um, I want to read this quote by Tim Keller. And let me just say I don't always agree with Tim, but he had some views that later he you know came up that aren't I'm not necessarily excited about, but that's how it is with a lot of people. So I just want to give that disclaimer. But this is powerful. He said the gospel frees us from slavery to the opinions of others. We no longer need to build our identity on appearance, achievement, or approval because our acceptance rests securely in Christ. That freedom changes everything.
SPEAKER_06Can I address that when you finished your thought?
SPEAKER_04Address? Yeah, what kind of dress?
SPEAKER_06No, but I so identify with that because when I became a Christian, I was set free. Totally set free from wanting to please men. The whole surfing thing got brought into proportion. I don't don't, I'm not going out surfing to risk my life, dangle my feet in a sharp bait, go out to try and ride waves that were like ten times my height, which is like five feet.
SPEAKER_02You said it.
SPEAKER_06But seriously, because I'd go, I'd be in a surf that's like 20 feet, and I'm thinking, I'm thinking to myself as I'm paddling out, why am I doing this? Seriously, I was terrified. Became a Christian, totally set free. And every other thing we used to, I'd go out with friends on Saturday night, we'd drink booze. That's what we do. We'd go out and we'd go and party, and I remember being lying in the back of a car not knowing where I was going. Some guy I didn't know who was driving, and it was just what we did on Saturday nights. All of us were drunk, and we'd go to parties and didn't know the house we're in. And when I became a Christian, I thought, I don't have to do that. Wow. I don't have to do that anymore. Totally set free from wanting to please men.
SPEAKER_01I just want to say, because I like now I loved a snowboard and when I was in Canada. I I don't think why am I doing this when I'm standing on the edge of the cliff? I don't think why am I doing this in the space between jumping on off the cliff and feeling the ground under my board. Uh, I think why am I doing this when I'm rolling and I see sky ground, sky, ground just tumbling.
SPEAKER_06That's from like, why do I keep doing this? Why am I doing this?
SPEAKER_04You know, it's crazy, Ray, because you mentioned the uh the the 20-foot waves. A good friend of ours, we were talking about it before the podcast got stuck out in the jetties, I don't know, or whatever, what do we call them? At the wedge, yeah. And I was watching the video, it went viral, it was everywhere. I was watching the video of it, and those waves looked enormous. But here's here's what I know. It's one thing when you're looking at them from afar, when you're up in them, oh man, like they're so I'm thinking they look enormous from this perspective. I couldn't imagine, and then but they weren't 20 feet, they were they were high, but 20 feet, like I see these guys on the on, but there's some that are like 90 feet in Hawaii, they go, they get pulled out by a boat for them. Yeah, who in their right mind, right? Like what it because it's not like okay, you're skydiving, you got a parachute, whatever. Like you're talking about trillions of pounds of water just crushing you.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, they actually wear wetsuits that explode under the water, so they pull you to the surface quickly. Oh, seriously? Yeah. Life vests, which is really intelligent because the there's a there's a horror in surfing where you're paddling out, someone says big set coming, so you paddle out and you see these lines, just they're just shadows on the horizon. But you know within two minutes they're gonna be about 20 feet high and they're gonna dump on you. So you paddle out with all the energy you got. And what can happen, you when I when we used to, before we had leg ropes, you'd get off the surfboard and push your board away if you're caught inside. Because if you didn't, that board could come back and kill you. So you throw that get away and you dive deep, and it really is a good type of the judgment of God. You throw sin away because that can kill you, and you dive deep into the mercy of God. But there's something that's terrifying for every surfer, and that's called going over the falls. And it's all to do with gravity and pull, and that is you make it over the lip of the wave, you go up like 20 feet, you're over the top, and suddenly you hear and you start going backwards and over the falls, and suddenly you're in this washing machine. And I remember once um I was heading toward the surface because I didn't get a chance to take a breath, and I thought I'm gonna explode. And so I've got to get to the surface. So I swam and I heard that was the ground? Ground. I'd gone in the wrong direction. So I thought, so I turned around and went to the surface, and as I break through this, broke through that surface, I said what every surfer says in that situation, I said, and at that point, I wasn't even a Christian. I was just thank you, God, for air. Thank you that I didn't die. And the the day I became a Christian, it was the best surf of my life. I'd never known any surf life like it. It was God saying goodbye. This is gonna be a great memory. But I went over the falls, and when I went under and was held under, I thought, if I die, I've got everlasting life. I knew it the day after I saved. And uh what what a consolation, but I didn't die then, you should probably know. Oh, you're spoiler alert.
SPEAKER_04You know, I I'm I'm terrified by the ocean. I love the ocean, I'll go in the ocean. I've seen why for you, both of you.
SPEAKER_06I wouldn't be afraid of the ocean. No, be afraid of the sharks. I say to surfers that walk past Huntington Beach when they got their board, I see any sharks? They said no. I said, that's the problem.
SPEAKER_01But Ray.
SPEAKER_06Hang on, don't miss that. When you don't see the shark, that's the problem. If you see it, you know where it is, but if you don't see it, it could be your legs he's having for.
SPEAKER_04I'm terrified by the immensity of it. It's power. What I mean, you guys remember uh when we were in uh on the South Pacific tour and I got stung by that jellyfish and and all that. But my struggle there was the current. Like I was I was struggling.
SPEAKER_00Is there a current?
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah. If you saw these two swim, you'd be afraid of the ocean too. Yeah. Um it was, but but this is this is my point. Like to God, the ocean is less than a microscopic drop of water. You know, like to think of the power, like make those connections.
SPEAKER_06You know, do you know if you get caught in a in a rip, you don't fight it? Did you know that?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you're supposed to go sideways, right?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, just just don't fight it and go sideways rather than don't go against it because we're out and you drown. So if you're going out to sea, easy, just go. Just go. Just go easy.
SPEAKER_01I've seen these two swim. It was it's remarkable.
SPEAKER_04It's like it's remarkable. Let me say, friends, those splashes again as a reminder, everything goes back to the gospel, right? That is that is our hope. That is our our way of escape. And my encouragement to those of you struggling with these issues is first get help. You know, if you have a if you have an eating disorder of any kind, get help. Like earlier I alluded to the fact that many people miss out on not having social interaction or close friends because they they don't learn, they don't glean. But there's also the other side of that, and that is people who care about you, love you, and they can help you in ways that you can't help yourself. And so go to them. God's given us the body
of Christ for a reason. But then remember that you have hope in the Lord. It really comes down to an issue of contentment. All of this comes back to that, being content into the Lord, because you you've been transformed by the gospel and you understand its reality. Philippians 4, 11 to 13. Not that I speak in respect to want, for I've learned in whatever state I am to be content. I know how to be abased, I know how to abound everywhere in all things. I've learned both to be full and to be honest, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That's where that verse has its applicable context. It's in contentment. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. So we have the sufficiency of scripture, we have the sufficiency of God in his spirit. So let that be the primary foundation as you get help and learn. Learn to be content in Him, be alone much with Jesus.
SPEAKER_06That's one other thing is, and if you're attempted, maybe as a young lady, to go on diets because you think you're slightly overweight, guard your appetite. It's God given. And if you can if you think you think you're getting victory because you're not eating a meal, and then you're not eating two meals or three meals, you may kill that appetite and bring upon yourself anorexia where you won't have an appetite for food and that will kill you. So it's very important.
SPEAKER_04Amen. Well put. And thank you, speaking of put, for putting up with the craziness of my co-hosts, not me at all. Don't forget scientific facts in the Bible. Like, subscribe, share. Questions, thoughts, podcast at LivingWaters.com. As you see, we've been answering your questions. We'd like to continue to do that. Ray had to cough. Why'd you do that?
SPEAKER_06I just failed to.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_01By the way, on the next episode, we have um one of our favorite creatures in the world as a guest. It is the jellyfish that's done easy.
SPEAKER_06I knew you said that they lose on the beat.
SPEAKER_03Thank you for joining us, friends. We'll see you here next time on the Limited Honors podcast where we have no idea what we're doing.
