My name is Dylan Schmidt, and welcome to Digital Podcaster. There are three, count 3, 1, 2, 3 tips I got for you. Three keys to create a more profitable podcast. These are the three main things that if you follow, you will find that your podcast not only grows, but leads itself to monetizing easier, which I think would be nice for all of us, right? Podcasts aren't free. Sure. You might use Anchor, which is a free hosting platform. I don't use that one in particular, but you might use that and you might be like, well, I don't pay anything. You pay for internet, you pay for the microphone, you gotta pay for your cell phone bill, whatever it is, it costs money to live these days. That's just the reality of being an adult. Right. So first key is creating more. If you want a profitable podcast, you need to create more. I know that sounds simple, but the more valuable content that you could provide, the more value people see in your podcast, the more they can binge your podcast, the more valuable your podcast is to your listeners, and the more options you'll have when it comes to monetizing. So create more to create a more profitable podcast. Next thing is create quality. It's not enough to just create more. You want to also incrementally increase the quality of your podcast over time. You can't do that at the beginning because there's probably too many things for you to realistically fix. So even if your podcast just becomes 1% better each episode, that's improving the quality and create quality. Around creating quality, your listeners will not be the only one to appreciate a professional sounding podcast with great guests and interesting topics, but businesses that wanna sponsor or advertise your show will also see the value in it. Think about from a business point of view, they hear some unprofessional sounding podcast. Even if they're not experts in podcast advertising that come across, they might be like, this doesn't sound right to me, or something might be a little off. You don't need to change your show to, you know, be for a certain advertiser. I'm not saying that, I'm saying, you know, stick to your morals, values, all that stuff, but that doesn't mean sacrifice the quality. Okay? So still, always have quality in mind. That looks different for every podcast. Number three is create a community. A big part of what makes a podcast successful is the connection between the host and the listener. Podcasts are an intimate experience and the more you can build that sense of community, the more you can build a great community. You will have a profitable podcast because your chances of a business coming across that and being like, wow, they have a community built with that is awesome. It's 2023 and there are a million different podcast strategies you could be implementing. And when you release new episodes, you can notify your audience and you can start to create a discussion around episodes, which is really important, because you want it to be more than just a one-way street with your podcast, you wanna interact with, uh, the people that are listening. Have an understanding of if you're being heard or not, what they like, what they dislike. All of those things make a difference. And not only gives you the ability to create better content for your episodes, it just helps bring your community closer. Could you imagine if you were creating or trying to create a community and you were completely disconnected from everyone that was in there? It's not gonna grow that well. Right? And if you ask your audience something, you're probably not gonna get, uh, any feedback. Remember, it's a two-way street treat it as that. Treat your listeners as human beings in the community, all that good stuff. I hope this was helpful. I hope you will implement these three keys. To creating a more profitable podcast. All right, I will catch you in the next episode.
