It's like helping you do your own brand deals. How crazy cool is that? This is the show for creative entrepreneurs who have a message to share and want to live a life of freedom Learn how to grow your network and net worth here from exciting guests and more My name is Dylan Schmidt and welcome to digital podcaster Welcome to today's episode. I'm so glad you're here. This is the third the three of three Training series that were I'm sharing around chat GPT for your podcast to make your podcast life easier I hope you listen to the first two episodes I'm framing these in the pre-production Production and post-production which means the pre-production it was like all the things you do before you sit down and record second one production was all the things that you could do to make your recording better and then 3 today, I'm gonna be sharing about what to do after you record. How can you use tachi PT as your Marketing team as your Assistant to your social media assistant. It's gonna be cool. It's gonna be some wild stuff that I'm sharing with you in this So again, if you didn't already listen to the first two, I'd go back. This is the last of the three here So how can you use Chatspotty after you record to then promote your show if you didn't know? Recording your show is only part of podcasting a big part of it comes down to promoting it right to get getting it heard and part of that is Marketing it to your current listeners. So it's one thing to try and you know reach new listeners That's gonna be happening naturally as you market But you really want to make your efforts marketed towards your current listeners because if you don't take care of your current listeners There won't be any current listeners, right? So I Kind of want to set the stage here as when we talk about marketing. That's that's how I approach it I approach it from a listen current listener first mentality and Trust that like the more you take care of your current listeners the more they will take care of you and they'll take care of you by sharing your podcast with other people. That's how I approach it. Relationship based. So you've got your episode recorded, right? Now, how can we use this bad boy to do some cool things? Well, I'm going to kind of fire hose some ideas at you here. It's not meant to you're not meant to like have to capture all of these ideas, But I do just want to get the wheels turning here and hopefully not too fast that you feel overwhelmed, but maybe just enough so that you feel capable of what you could use chat GPT for. First thing I want to say is after you get your podcast recorded, you can turn it into a transcript using something like like otter.ai or descript. If you edit with the script, it automatically gives you a transcript. And then you could do things with that transcript, which we'll talk about in this episode. You know, everyone's podcast length is different. Like mine, for example, the Tuesday ones are five minutes. Friday ones are typically 15 minutes. That's pretty short. And the transcript can usually fit in chat to BT with no problem. I made a post on Tick Tock about chat to BT and using the transcript. I got a lot of comments that people were saying, this is just, it doesn't work for me because my transcript is too long. And unfortunately for me and all of us, right after, like I'm talking like a couple of days after I recorded that tick talk, uh, chat, GBT changed the input, the text input tokens, they call it, um, to be less than what it was when I recorded that video. When I recorded that video, you could put in like 60 minutes, a transcript that's 60 minutes long and it was no issue. Now there is a limit. I forget if it's 4,000 or what. There's only so many characters, any letters, any words you can put in there. There are a couple of ways around that though. The simplest way I'll share with you right now, because people have different lengths of podcasts, is the problem I'm seeing with the transcript input. So when you copy your transcript and paste it into chat, you PT, the problem I'm seeing is that it's too long, right? The easiest way is I'll just give you a website actually. It's called strip html.com s t r i p h t m l.com. And you could post or paste your transcript into a little box that you'll see pop up. And then you would hit the button that's just in the upper right that says keep line break so you don't want it to be checked. And then you hit strip HTML. And then it removes basically all the spaces in your transcript if your transcript has spaces and then you can input that into chat GP, chat GPT, sometimes with less issues. Now if that is still too long, you can break up your transcript into pieces. But the goal here isn't to always need your full transcript for everything that I'm going to share here. This is important. The goal here is to have at least a summary of what your podcast is about. Once you have a summary and it's less text, we could take that less text there because the main idea of your podcast episode, we can use that in different ways for different prompts. So all that to say, just a quick recap, because I know that's kind of a lot there. Basically, you can input your transcript using something like strip HTML to remove the spaces. And then from there, if you want to create a show summary, because your transcript is still too long and you couldn't use it in these prompts, you'll have to paste it one by one into chat GPT and and work with chat GPT that way. Now that we got that out of the way, some prompts that we could use and ways that we could use it to create marketing material. You could ask chat GPT give me 10 clever names for a podcast episode about this and then after about this is where you would paste your podcast transcript or you know the summary, whichever one you want to use. Coming up with clever names for your podcast is a great way to do that. You could then after it gives you say 10 clever names, you could say to chat to PT rank these titles and then it will give you back engaging and compelling titles. Here's where you have to put your own input around SEO, your vision for your podcast. So you might not always choose the one in the top five. You might not even choose any of them. You might come up with a better idea on your own after seeing those ideas. But again, the goal is all three of these podcast episodes about Chachapiti has been is you really want to use this as a starter, right? Use it as like an assistant. Another thing you could ask it and this is what my TikTok video about my first Chachapiti TikTok video was about was creating a show notes or episode description for a podcast that's about this. Then you'd paste your transcript or summary there and it would give you something good, hopefully. And then you would tweak it as you need. Then the show notes, if there's someone out there's show notes that's popular that you think ChatGPT would be familiar with, you could ask it to write it in the style of their show notes. So that's one way of doing it. Or you could ask it to give you a show notes template and then you fill that in. What else? What else? Another prompt you could do is create five promotional tweets for my podcast episode that's titled this that's about this. Another prompt could be create a 15 second TikTok video script that's about my upcoming podcast episode about this. And then and then you paste your transcript or episode description or show summary or episode summary. And then it gives you back a tick tock video script or Instagram video script. You could say create, you know, five Instagram posts or this could be also similar to the tweets, but like create five Instagram posts for my podcast episode that's about the blank. And Again, I'm trying to just give you ideas here so that you frame it in what you need here. You don't need to do all this stuff, but you can pick and choose what you want to use. It's experimenting what the best prompts are for you for your podcast. Because my approach, my feeling towards a lot of this stuff is, there's not a one-size-fits-all approach to it. How I promote my podcast probably needs to be just a little different than how you promote your podcast. there's a certain authenticity that comes across. And that's what needs to remain when you're using something like ChachiBT, rather than just rely on everything it says, like we need your human input into the stuff that you're saying, so important, or else it's gonna be generic and boring and just fall flat. This tool is to empower you, it's just to make your life a little bit easier. And sometimes you might find that you don't even need a certain prompt or a certain tool. You might be the type of person that comes up with ideas for a TikTok video, you know, super easy. This prompt wouldn't be for you then about creating a TikTok video script, but someone else might struggle with that or wanna do that and just doesn't know what to do. That's why I'm kind of giving you the buffet of options here. Even though I try to pack as much value as I can inside these short podcast episodes, the reality is sometimes it only takes 20 seconds or less to get the message across. That's why I'm posting quick, bite-sized, helpful tips and strategies just for podcasters every week on Instagram and TikTok. My usernames there are just like the podcast, it's @digitalpodcaster. Follow Digital Podcaster and learn specific beginner tips as well as more advanced automation techniques and everything in between. When you follow me @digitalpodcaster, make sure to send me a quick DM saying hi, I'd love to meet you. Thank you and let's dive back into the episode. When it comes to monetization, one thing that I think is a good idea and what I did in my previous podcast workshop about chatGBT that I did in January, and if you want to catch at the next free podcast workshop that I do the first of every month, a new one. Just go to podcastworkshop.com. One thing you could do as well that I demonstrated there that I'm going to go over with you here is writing an email to a potential sponsor. Say, for example, there was a microphone company, Shure, let's just say Shure Microphones. I'm talking into a Shure SM7B right now. Say there was a microphone company like Shure that I wanted to reach out about potentially sponsoring the show. And I am not super familiar with writing brand deal type emails. What I could do though is go to chatGBT and tell it,"Hey, I have a podcast that is about helping podcasters become more successful in 20 minutes a week. I have X number of downloads. I have audience, X number big, whatever. I could figure out all that stuff and then give it a little bit of information and say to ChatterBT,"I want Shura to sponsor the show. Write a persuasive email that is introducing myself in my podcast and go from there." And the result I got from this when I did it in an example in the podcast workshop was pretty wild because I made a fictitional podcast called The Neural Networkers. and it's not a real podcast, I have no plans for it. That podcast was about artificial intelligence in the mainstream, and it made an email to a potential sponsor, simple as that. And the response it gave me was amazing. So that's one way you could use it to monetize your show, is to reach out to potential sponsors and then customize that email it gives you, maybe in your own words with your own information that you would want to include in there. But then that would then be emailed to a potential sponsor. How crazy cool is that? It's like helping you do your own brand deals. Again, treat it like an assistant. Don't give all your power to it. Tweak what it gives you, and I bet you'll find even more creative ideas on growing and monetizing your podcast that I didn't even share here. Thank you so much for joining me on this three-part series. I really enjoyed putting it together and I'm really happy that in the future I could be like, "Hey, if you actually want to know how to use it, go back to this episode." So if I recommended you here to listening to it, just so you know, we do episodes every Tuesday and Friday. Short episodes on Tuesday, a little bit longer episodes on Friday. But I'm glad you're here and I will talk to you in the next episode.
