And unless you somehow didn't know, which I'm sure you did"},{"startTime":40.129,"endTime":43.935,"body":"know, there have been wildfires going all across Los"},{"startTime":43.935,"endTime":47.775,"body":"Angeles. As of right now, when I'm recording this for you, over"},{"startTime":47.775,"endTime":51.535,"body":"40,000 acres have burned, more than 12,000 structures, have"},{"startTime":51.535,"endTime":54.755,"body":"been destroyed. There have been at least 24 fatalities."},{"startTime":55.92,"endTime":59.539,"body":"The fires have led to an evacuation of over a 150,000 residents,"},{"startTime":59.84,"endTime":63.519,"body":"and it's really hard to put into words the impact that this"},{"startTime":63.519,"endTime":67.22,"body":"has had on Los Angeles. And Los Angeles is a huge"},{"startTime":67.44,"endTime":71.055,"body":"place. When we say Los Angeles, we don't just mean like the city"},{"startTime":71.055,"endTime":74.575,"body":"of Los Angeles. Usually, we're talking more like Los Angeles"},{"startTime":74.575,"endTime":78.255,"body":"County, which is absolutely massive. I don't live in the"},{"startTime":78.255,"endTime":82.094,"body":"city of Los Angeles. I live outside of it, right near Pasadena. And then inwards a bit is the"},{"startTime":93.219,"endTime":96.899,"body":"Eaton fire, which is the 2nd biggest. And I thought, you know, that's basically to"},{"startTime":126.99,"endTime":130.43,"body":"be expected because Edison had given me a warning that they were gonna be doing"},{"startTime":130.43,"endTime":134.005,"body":"these public safety power shutoffs. And as far as I understand it, that"},{"startTime":134.005,"endTime":137.625,"body":"means, like, we shut off your power so that it doesn't spark a wildfire."},{"startTime":138.165,"endTime":141.365,"body":"And they had said that the minimum that it could be for the power to"},{"startTime":141.365,"endTime":145.19,"body":"come back on is around 8 hours. And it was so windy out. And, yes, it is awful.
