Sims was a Lineman, stringing communications wire from the front lines and was at the tip of the spear on the front. He witnessed many "firsts" in this role including being one of the first Lineman to land in Normandy 2 days after DDay, being in the first unit to set foot into Germany in Sept 1944, one of the first to cross the Rhine at the Remagen Bridge and documented the first liberation of a concentration camp by the US. Enjoy.
