Rupert sits down with Sophia Angelis, strategic marketing leader and founder of Angelis Consulting, to discuss why simplifying complexity—and making space for meaningful human connection—is at the heart of effective modern marketing. They explore how brands can cut through a landscape of skipped ads and short attention spans, the enduring power of emotional storytelling, and why purpose is less about grand statements and more about consistent, disciplined decision-making over time.

Sophia is an international marketing leader with experience spanning beauty and premium spirits, having held senior roles at L’Oréal and Brown-Forman, where she led global brand strategy and served as Managing Director for Jack Daniel’s. Her career began in Athens in hospitality before evolving into global brand leadership, working across cultures and markets to build iconic campaigns. She is now the founder of Angelis Consulting, where she helps leaders navigate complex challenges across strategy, culture, and leadership through coaching, facilitation, and advisory.

Rupert Maconick is the Founder and Executive Producer of Seville Productions. Seville Productions works with major brands to produce brand-sponsored films and documentaries on a wide range of social and environmental issues.
