Mumma Got Skills: Women's Circle
Mumma Got Skills: Women's Circle
Podcast Introduction
My name is Carlie Dole and I am the founder of Mumma Got Skills, a social enterprise that aims to create a safe supportive space where new mums feel comfortable to share their vulnerabilities. In a modernised ‘weaving circle’ style we make crafty things whilst we chat and connect. I am passionate about the work that I do and find opportunities to meet women where they are most in need. I run workshops in the community, through the hospital and in partnership with councils and private organisations.
Women’s Circle by Mumma Got Skills came about from the many many incredible stories I have had the pleasure to listen to in the postnatal craft groups that I run in Queensland, Australia. Becoming a mother may be something that women have done for thousands of years however, it does not take away from the profound transformational nature of this sacred journey.
Women’s Circle is a space to share the stories of local women in the hopes that their words may support, validate or shape your own journey. I personally have been on an immense journey of growth since having my son in December 2017 and I love to connect my community with resources and support in all things personal development and parenting.
Get ready to hear from women just like you as well as a sprinkling of chats with experts in different fields relating to women and motherhood.
I am so very excited to share this space with you. Welcome.
Love, Carlie
