As a result of a Twitter post I sent on September 17th, 2021 about the status of COVID recovered individuals and the need for vaccination, heated and robust conversation erupted in response to a long-form op-ed posted on my Facebook page. One of the respondents to the post was Virologist Dr. Angela Rasmussen (@angie_rasmussen). My wife Liz and I primarily discuss COVID recovered individuals, public and private healthcare, public policy, immune status, vaccination options, and even human trafficking, country music, and hockey.
Liz and I felt like a lot of our questions weren’t being answered, especially in relation to our 13 year old son, and I’m very thankful for Dr. Rasmussen and her willingness to bring her expertise and address our concerns. I am hopeful that this conversation will encourage people to educate themselves as they make the decision about how to address vaccination. I learned so much, and have much greater confidence as I’m making this decision as a COVID recovered person. I had a feeling many people might be in the same boat as my family, and that is the reason that I took the risk to step out out and raise our concerns.
It is a good and responsible measure to strongly consider getting vaccinated, both for yourself, and for the rest of the community and country.
Find out whether Dr. Rasmussen was able to address our concerns about recognizing the status of COVID recovered individuals, their immune status, and the need for and safety of vaccinations for COVID recovered individuals.
