James 1:26-27. In the previous message we looked at James 1:22 which instructs us to be doers of the Word, not hearers only. In this message, we unpack what that really means and how we do it. True faith isn’t measured by what we know—it’s revealed by how we live. James contrasts worthless religion with pure and undefiled religion as he gives examples of controlling our tongues, caring for the vulnerable, and keeping ourselves unstained by the world. What we believe should shape how we behave.
