Hebrews chapters 5 and 6 challenges us to reconsider what it means when our prayers seem unanswered. We discover that Jesus himself prayed with tears and loud cries to be saved from death, yet still went to the cross. His prayer was answered—but through resurrection, not by avoiding suffering. This truth reframes our understanding of unanswered prayer: God hears us, but His answers may come in ways we don't expect, and sometimes not in this life. God is inviting us to embrace a mature faith that doesn't bow to circumstances. We must trust God's timing, and recognize that our prayers are heard even when the answer looks different than we imagined.
