This week takes us deep into 1 Corinthians 12-13, challenging our tendency to obsess over individual spiritual gifts while missing the entire point: we all share the same Spirit. The text dismantles the spiritual hierarchy many of us unconsciously create, where certain gifts seem more impressive or valuable than others. Whether it's prophecy, healing, administration, or hospitality, every gift flows from the same divine source and serves the same purpose—building up the body of Christ. We're reminded that in the early church, believers had to overcome massive cultural barriers: Jews and Greeks worshiping together, slaves and free people sharing communion as equals. If they could transcend those divisions through the power of the Spirit, what's our excuse? It's time we confront our self-centered approach to spirituality, where we're more concerned with discovering our personal gifting than with serving others sacrificially. The truth is revolutionary: when we're connected to the gift-giver, we have access to all the gifts as the Spirit determines and the body needs. This isn't about building our ministry or platform; it's about being the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus to one another. The call is clear—stop playing status games, stop keeping records of wrongs, and start seeing every member of the body as indispensable, including ourselves.
