In today’s study, we discuss Paul’s charge to Timothy and his to command to teach doctrine, emphasizing trust in the living God and Christ as Savior. He told Timothy needed to rise above criticism about his age, and then he told him how to do that. He said it would be done by his conduct “in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” He urged Timothy to read, exhort, guard doctrine, and not neglect his spiritual gift.
