In this episode, we discuss why Paul told Timothy to “use a little wine,” and that leads us to talk about water quality, medicinal use, Greek wordings, and Timothy’s stomach issues or anxieties. Paul then explains in vv. 24-25 how elders whose sins or good works become manifest, and some of them are open beforehand, and others later at the judgment. Entering chapter 6, Paul addressed servants or slaves who were under the yoke, urging them to honor their masters to avoid blaspheming God.
