Ep. #470: Is the Faith in You? 2Tim. 1:1-12

  In today’s study, we see how Paul opens this book, affirming his apostleship and the promise of life in Christ. He expresses his love for Timothy, recalls his sincere family faith, and urges him to stir up his spiritual gift. He reminds us that believers are given power, love, and a sound mind… not fear. Timothy is not to be ashamed of Christ’s testimony, recognizing salvation and our callings come by God’s purpose and grace. He encourages us by telling us that Christ abolished death, and it for this cause Paul, who has been appointed to preach, is suffering. He knew Jesus would keep what he had committed to Him.
