We journey through her life on and off the court, from her middle school days to the global stage of professional basketball. Relive the school days spent honing her skills and explore the vital friendships formed within the basketball fraternity. Interestingly, Shae also unpacks her unique perspective as a basketball vagabond, having traversed from one school to another during her career.
Many challenges await women in sports, and Shae's experiences are no exception. She will guide us through the highs and lows of her professional journey, shedding light on the mental and physical demands of playing basketball overseas. Get ready to empathize with the obstacles she faced, from language barriers to cultural differences and limited work opportunities. On a brighter note, Shae will also share the promising potential of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) for women in sports, and how social media and supporter dedication are shaping the future of professional women's basketball.
Our conversation with Shae is a roller coaster of experiences. She opens up about the intersection of athleticism and appeal, the dynamics of NCAA games, and the influence of the overseas basketball market. Unveiling her dating experiences as a professional basketball player, Shae emphasizes the importance of having a supportive team and the need to stay focused on success. We'll also pay a heartfelt tribute to Nikki Weddle, a Denver basketball legend, greatly influential in Shae's career. I'm going to take it back a little bit, so I'm taking it all the way back to middle school. Yeah, hamilton, smiley. Yeah, i used to battle it out. Smiley in the house, right, absolutely, coach Reggie. Look, coach Reggie. And my brother was the coach.

Speaker 1No we held it down We held it down.
Speaker 3But that's at a young age, That's when, that's when I was introduced to you, Because it was like yo didn't know who you were, but it was like yo, this, this girl, it was you and the girl you just mentioned. I was like, oh, she can ball, Yeah. And you went to East, did you think?
Speaker 2George first, then East. Did you go to George? Come on out, you, yeah, listen listen. I went to George my freshman year. Both my brothers went to George.
Speaker 3Yes, my brother Dang. What school did you not go to? Yeah, yeah, yeah, i don't think that should be the question, Hey you're like a tour, you're like a basketball vagabond?
Speaker 2No, but listen.
Speaker 4I saw I went to George. That's funny, I went to here, yep.
Speaker 2Then I went to. East. So George, i mean, i went to George, i went to George, i went to George, i went to George, i went to George.
Speaker 3I went to George.
Speaker 2I went to East. So, george, i mean East was the school for women.
Speaker 3For girls basketball, yeah, i mean so Oh no for women. Patriots was the school? Talk to them. Patriots was the school to go to?
Speaker 2For track and what else.
Speaker 3For basketball.
Speaker 2Basketball, hell no.
Speaker 3For sports in general.
Speaker 2For women? Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3We back up now, we back up Talk to them.
Speaker 2I ain't gonna lie now, but before. No, absolutely not.
Speaker 1My Bella was a school for basketball. If you was a woman In my day, i was a kid with Nikki Wettel Yeah.
Speaker 3Oh yeah, let's, let's copper do.
Speaker 4He is the guy.
Speaker 3We got a kid.
Speaker 2Nikki on.
Speaker 4That's my dog, do y'all know?
Speaker 2she trained me. No that's being hers clothes, because she's a goat.
Speaker 1She is a goat. I graduated. I graduated with Nikki Wettel.
Speaker 2She's the only other woman who won it in DPS before us in 2020.
Speaker 1By 20, by 30, damn near. Yeah, they went crazy?
Speaker 3No, absolutely Her. Tiana Briggins the shooter.
Speaker 1And they was ranked and they was ranked top 25 in the country.
Speaker 2In the country Talk to them, talk to them, yeah, goats.
Speaker 3Well, let's get back to you, because you're a goat yourself, you're a queen of Park Hill. And let's get into current events, because you've been doing big things, and what I mean by that is that you have revived summer league basketball in Denver. All right, you said well, as I was growing up, joint effort pro am shot out to John Bailey things I would say probably five years after that got kind of quiet, but then you pop up like three years ago, two, this is our second year, so literally one year ago last year.
Speaker 3So let's talk about it, because you have revived summer basketball in Denver. You bringing out some names also. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1Jimmer.
Speaker 3Jimmer for that. Richard Jefferson, no, richard.
Speaker 2Jason.
Speaker 3Richardson.
Speaker 1Thank you.
Speaker 2And his sons.
Speaker 1And his sons.
Speaker 3Like you're bringing that back. Tell us. Ag. Pulled up AG.
Speaker 2I saw that Derek White. He didn't play, but he came to a game last year And he's supposedly on a team this year. We'll see if he comes to playoffs.
Speaker 3So tell us why, like why did you think it needed to come back, or why were you the person?
Speaker 2I grew up going to those games at Skyland because of John Bailey. You know what I'm saying. So that was literally like I'm waking up and you just knew where you was going that day. It's the summertime, we're going to Skyland. You didn't have to call No man, you know, we didn't have phones like that back then.
Speaker 3No, absolutely No.
Speaker 2Oh, it's 10. It's 11. Go to Skyland. We going to Skyland. I don't know what days the games was on, i don't remember.
Speaker 3Usually like Saturday.
Speaker 2Yeah, saturday, wednesday, saturday, so my sister's a green and she's like well, i'm working this table. Well, i'm like well, i'm finna hoop, and then I'm finna watch. You know what I'm saying. So, I was. I literally grew up watching those guys play like from the Freak Masons Daydays.
Speaker 3Shout out to.
Speaker 2Freaky.
Speaker 3Masons Dayday.
Speaker 2You know what I mean. Like those guys came in the gym and I'm just like Johnny Reese.
Speaker 3Autumn Cat.
Speaker 2And I'd be in the gym like yo. That's literally why I fell in love with the game, because I was at Skyland every single day I could be there. So I'm just like, damn, this shit is. This shit is crazy. You know what I'm saying? Like, and then Chauncey pulling up, pulling up from half court going crazy. Mellow pulled up And this is. we're just in a little gym in Park Hill on Holly, absolutely. So you telling me these guys is pulling up to this gym, is I don't know?
Speaker 1I was not just in the gym, though 50 people in the gym, but it's not.
Speaker 4It wasn't like it was packed out, though It's not like a gym with like stadiums.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's not a.
Speaker 3It's not built for that. No, absolutely.
Speaker 2It's literally like the neighborhood people to community, just like yo we going to. We got games today, yeah, pulling up. So as a kid I saw that and I'm like yo, this shit, i don't know. It just inspired me and it made me fall in love with the game, because I grew up as a girl and my homeboys used to make me play with them. Oh, like no we understand like you're better than the girl, so you got to come play with us.
Speaker 3Right.
Speaker 2And we'd like no, you're playing with us and they blocked my shot, They pushed me down and they made me better. So I credit a lot of my success or whatever you want to call it to like just being in the gym with my homeboys. You know what I mean And that was literally a cast like my inspiration.
Speaker 2So once I saw that fast forward, that like the program fell off, nobody was doing anything about it, and of course I'm overseas, so I heard a lot of talk about it and it's just like, oh, we're going to bring it back, so somebody's going to bring it back. So I wasn't even thinking about the program at all because I'm overseas. I'm doing my thing, i'm on my journey. You know what I?
Speaker 3mean Right.
Speaker 2So they're like I'm going to bring the program back every summer. I'm like there's no program. What's going on Like why? Why ain't nobody start the program? What's up?
Speaker 1Y'all tripping, y'all tripping.
Speaker 2So literally last, last year I'm in uh, two years ago I'm in Italy. I don't even remember who it was. Somebody called me like yo, i think you should. you should bring the program back. Like you, literally the perfect person. Everybody fuck with you. Like all the fellas mess with you. You know what I'm saying. So you're literally the perfect person to bring it back And I was just like I'm going to do it, but say less. I literally called Chauncey, i called Rodney because I'm his big bros and I'm just like what y'all feel about me bringing the program back? Like how y'all feel about that. They're like go.
Speaker 2We got you Like go, we got you What you need.
Speaker 3And then from there it took off.
Speaker 2And then we in year two.
Speaker 3Well, tell us. So. Tell us a little about a little bit about how you took what you knew the program to be, the joint effort program. Now fast forward to your point You mentioned we didn't have cell phones, right, like we didn't have those things to kind of promote, it was just word of mouth, wearing T shirts. You know community. Now you got all these, the technology, and now that that's how a lot of people are catching it IG lives and things like that. Tell us how you're leveraging those tools in order to promote it, or what it does to the league.
Basketball Vision in Denver
Speaker 2I mean it does great things to the league, but I hate that shit. I hate that shit, because I'm not that type and I literally do a lot like on my own. So I've literally built this from the ground up, and a lot of people don't understand how much work went into this and I'm overseas doing it, you know what I mean, right. I started it while I was overseas, so think about that.
Speaker 2I don't even have, i'm not even home. I can't pull up on nobody like yo. I have to stay up till 4am. I got to stay up till 4am like making phone calls.
Speaker 3I'm eight hours ahead Getting the schedule together like schedule together. Absolutely.
Speaker 2Doing, doing literally like everything online Instagram I got to get the Instagram, i got to get the Twitter, i got to get the TikTok, i got a and then I got to call the homies. I'm like yo, i need help.
Speaker 3Right.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying? Do you want to help? So it was just, it was just a lot like and for Instagram to be like what it is now.
Speaker 3Yep, yeah.
Speaker 2Literally, that's turned everything. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3Oh, no, absolutely.
Speaker 2We got like 2000 followers and we're in our second year. You know what I mean.
Speaker 3Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2And it's like I'm not. My vision is. I'm not even close to where I wanted to be, yet That's dope. Like not even a quarter of where I wanted to be. So it's just like, damn. So the Instagram and the social media is a huge thing now. So it was just like I hate that shit personally because I have to do it, but shout out to Josh J, Josh, Josh.
Speaker 4We in that mode, you feel me.
Speaker 2He's literally been holding me down. He comes to the games, he puts out these videos. These guys are getting.
Speaker 4Credit. shout out to Josh, i might grow a big.
Speaker 2I know you're doing the photography, but I need you, like Social media is what it is. So he was like just give me the password, i'm gonna start. He's posted shit on the Instagram, and that's when it kind of took off. We had a G there, monta, and that was the first year got it. So like social media is Is I mean I hate it but I love it at the same time, but that's what's gonna make us or break us.
Speaker 1Yo. So it's crazy, you know, um, i've been going to the pro and for a long time, right, i've never seen a guy get 60.
Speaker 2Oh.
Speaker 1Yeah, hey, drake, shout out to you. Um, that video went viral.
Speaker 2Balders like picked us up. I don't even know that. No, I saw it.
Speaker 1I saw it. Okay, balders, i follow Balders life and they picked up the 60 point game. Yo, how did that feel for you.
Speaker 2I was there, so I'm in a moment, so Like I'm doing everything but I also am working at the same time. Yeah, so I'm on live. You know I'm saying so. I'm on live trying to get because people like we won a live stream, so I'm trying to. You know I'm on live, but I'm seeing drago crazy, one leg, three Hezzy to the rim, lay like oh shit.
Speaker 4Hey, she sound like uh flay Hezzy one leg three.
Speaker 3I like the flavor.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah you know I'm saying so as an athlete. I'm excited for him, so I'm on the side talking my shit. You know I'm saying like, yeah, drink on crazy, but for me it's just like. For me, what makes me feel good is that these guys Support me, because I'm nothing without them. You know I'm saying like if they didn't, they're like oh, we not finna pull up to your Leave, you know. Hey what. Not a plan is Lee. You know I'm saying.
Speaker 2Yep the fact that they like. No, we support you whatever you need. Like we don't care, fuck the jerseys we, we can wear pennies, i don't care what we got on. Like we, we, we wish you. You know, i'm saying so that for me.
Speaker 2That's everything, because that means like They support me and they like they behind me, 100%, no matter what it takes. And they're like it's the second year, don't trip. I'm stressing out. I'm calling Dom, call your like yo. You got to come try these jerseys on. I don't think they're right. Shorts ain't right, he's like I'ma pull up. He literally came over to try to judge. you know, he's like They sure they cool, yeah, if they got a cunt and they just gonna cut them. Oh well, like we good, like we just hear the hoot.
Speaker 2So the fact that they support me. That literally means everything to me in the world.
Speaker 3Yeah, shout out to the supporters.
Speaker 4Yeah, and it like for the uniforms because y'all have like the little 1990 joints below the me baggy jerseys.
Speaker 2No, what's crazy, but my first year I had an overseas vendor.
Speaker 4Oh.
Speaker 1It is different Pakistan, Uh-huh.
Speaker 2Pakistan, so Cheap my homeboy overseas like. and this is all the basketball world. This is the connections you make overseas like my homeboys like yo, i got somebody you can get you some shit for the low.
Speaker 3I'm like who, I need them and you talk about jerseys that are like authentic jerseys, like nice pennies. No, they wasn't nice, okay, got it, got it Okay.
Speaker 2The whole thing with that I had that was like the struggle I had last year was I literally the jerseys were not made, so he literally just sent me the shirts because he wanted to charge me extra. I said I don't got that type of money. I didn't have no sponsors, i didn't have shit, it's just me.
Speaker 1I literally came out my own pocket for like came out my own pocket, my overseas money.
Speaker 4That's gonna put racks down Just to get the jerseys for these guys.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying, Because I had a vision on and I'm gonna make it do what it do so.
Speaker 3Well, they're lucky, they got jerseys, because we were like t-shirts.
Speaker 2Hello, hey, join in for t-shirts and we was happy Like that's what we was good.
Speaker 3We was good.
Speaker 2We got t-shirts. Yeah, cool, Absolutely they had some jerseys with their names on the front and numbers, So they was like this is cool.
Speaker 3Yeah, but.
Speaker 2I don't know. I just been trying to make it happen, make my vision. I have a vision and it's it's not complete, but I know it's gonna take time. Tell us it.
Speaker 4Tell us your vision.
Speaker 2Oh, okay, that's not proprietary. Um Julie Bronson Lee.
Speaker 1You know what I mean.
Speaker 2Why you think I got an mc Blake. Shout out to my. Shout out to Blake. Shout out to my brother.
Speaker 3Hey Kelly, absolutely I want My whole vision.
Speaker 2I need butts in the seats. That's what's up and I know we're Denver and I know we're not new york and I know we're not maryland and I know we're not la. We have no no off the way But we can get there. You know, i'm saying because we have great Hoopers here and they're so overlooked. And I hate that about Denver because we actually got some, because that could who you know?
Speaker 3I'm saying absolutely So.
Speaker 2It's just like this is a platform for them and it doesn't matter Where we starting from. But that's my vision, like I want us to be, like You know what I mean Like all his life. ESPN Went crazy to crowd. You know what I'm saying. I want that for us.
Speaker 4So when I, when I hear you talk Because I like straight up, i don't know too much about What's that- good. Yeah, i'm just not a hooper So I don't know that much, but like when I hear you, i look like a hooper though.
Speaker 1I.
Speaker 4Know so you know what I will talk when I hear you. You talk and like, i Think about, like a big vision. It's no different than ice cube had. Like you're like the woman, i three. Hello, yeah, like seriously, when I hear that, that's what I hear you could take it there.
Speaker 1Yeah, so she, so she, I think for me. Now I'm put your spot a little bit- Yeah. Who's your favorite player right now? Mm-hmm, i don't mind it in the 303, in the whole three, only in my league. Yeah, in your league Who's your favorite? I'm gonna say mine.
Speaker 3Do you have one, though You do, then you got a favorite player. Yeah, I mean the phone a.
Speaker 1The phone gets put up when he's playing Phone, goes watching like you're just. You're just in the moment.
Speaker 2I mean, I hope with all of them. So I'm never gonna do that because I'm a competitor. So when they out there, I'm popping my shit too, like why you miss that left Here, nigga you know, it's not like I'm putting my phone up. Oh my god, he's playing like nine doing that.
Speaker 1I put my phone. I mean, listen, a freaky mace, jermaine Mason.
Speaker 2Listen, I'm.
Speaker 1G. No, but I put my phone down, i'm watching he's all G, so I love, i love, free.
Speaker 3I think your security guard wants you.
Speaker 2So, Whatever, what's my driving?
Speaker 4Yeah, what's the driving motivation to keep it going.
Speaker 2Are you saying I'm old and I'm still?
Speaker 3Well, let's hold that, we're gonna get into that. We go get into that, they're gonna get into it. So let's talk about your hoop career. So you've been doing great things for others. When it comes to who, let's talk about you and the compliments Accomplishments you've had. Right, so, right now, balling overseas you were in Italy, now you're in Egypt. Like, take us through. We'll talk about the WNBA, but take us through. Like your experiences With that being overseas at a very high level.
Challenges and Support for Women's Sports
Speaker 2We're going to start, Yeah let's start in Italy. Like the things you were doing out there and the things you Italy was probably one of my best seasons Mmm, close to one of my best seasons I've had overseas. I've been doing this for eight years. I'm going on nine next year, i don't know. I was just in a different mode last year or two years ago and I was like top three and rebounds, top five and scoring. I Led my team in every category Assist. I ain't no point guard now but, i, am like you know, i'm like a little.
Speaker 3Like how she said that.
Speaker 2I'm very versatile. That's what makes me like, that's why I keep a job. But um, I Don't know. Overseas is different in his heart. It's not for everybody.
Speaker 4What? what makes it hard?
Speaker 2What you mean. I'm missing my, i'm missing Christmas, i'm missing Thanksgiving, i'm missing my niece's birthday, my nephew's birthday, i'm missing my mom's birthday. I miss my dad's. I miss everything. I'm literally missing everything. So it's just hard because you have to be mentally strong, you know I mean. So it's like I'm overseas and If you're not mentally strong, you're not gonna make it. And it's not for everybody. I seen girls like come overseas and play, yes, and they leave after like a month, two months, because there's no family, no family is you and another American you've made or may not have ever met.
Speaker 2Y'all on the same team is either two to three Americans, depending which country you're in.
Speaker 3Yeah room.
Speaker 2Sometimes you have roommates. I'm a vet now I need my own place. But yeah, you have roommates. It's just a lot. And then the language bear. Sometimes your coach literally love it basketball. What do you say? Get you the ball, like, okay, yeah, but it's a language barrier, it's just a lot that comes with it and it's not for everybody and everybody's like oh, you're so blessed, you get a sightseeing shit. But it's not like that. I wake up, i go to practice. Sometimes you have, you're working two days.
Speaker 2Yeah wake up, go to practice, come home, eat. Maybe, if you got to go to the grocery store, take a nap, go back to practice. No groupie, yeah, yeah, i want to know.
Speaker 4Who's turning the man out or who's getting. I need to know both sides that's funny.
Speaker 2Ain't no work.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 2No work Ain't no work. Like if I wanted to depend on where I'm at, i could. But that I'm not with that and that's not my personal preference.
Speaker 1Hey so.
Speaker 2Obviously it's the overseas guy, So the other Americans that be over there.
Speaker 4So yeah, i mean, is real, yep Yeah.
Speaker 2It's so many like American men, american women over there right. Yeah, there's some work And but it's not how she say that work.
Speaker 3Like, are they? Cool Shit, y'all just start messing with each other, cuz it's like Stockholm syndrome. It's just me and you girl Got it.
Speaker 2But that's literally how it is. I mean, sometimes you meet whatever it happens, but it's a roman stone.
Speaker 4What I've been seeing.
Speaker 2Like it for you know I've been single for like four years. I was in a relationship for a long time.
Speaker 4like you are rolling stone, say now That's that's what's implied.
Speaker 2I am not a rolling stone, say is out here.
Speaker 3Don't be trying to put that on her. As my lawyer, don't be trying to put that on her. Oh no, she's.
Speaker 2Girl phase.
Speaker 3I see your grand stories now. You be outside, you be outside, you and the Navy outside. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, i mean Shaby out there.
Speaker 4Hey, she fooling y'all. She know Egyptian She know, Italians Hey, you know all these languages. you out there turning them boys out.
Speaker 2I'm not turning them out. I promise y'all I'll be overseas, i'll focus, i hope I'll get my number.
Speaker 3But let's talk about that, because I do things.
Speaker 4I just say you turn them out.
Speaker 2Yeah, because I think They might be turned out. That's fine. Exactly, i ain't turned on, but they know, but they know.
Speaker 3Got a point though, because like, and we're going to get into the I think this is the T right here like the way basketball and is supported overseas is a lot different than it is at home, 100% Right. So it's like you're getting fans, all genders, going out there right To see you play. Like it's a big thing.
Speaker 2Like so Uh-uh, no You got to twist it, Oh no.
Speaker 3Oh, no, oh, tell us.
Speaker 2Absolutely not. Sometimes it'd be four people in a gym.
Speaker 3What you mean Really.
Speaker 2I was in France, packed out Israel. Eight people 10 people, 20 people.
Speaker 1Just talk about it.
Speaker 2All like the Israelis family. You know what I mean. So I was in Egypt. It's four. Well, they stopped letting fans come because somebody like failed from the root.
Speaker 4There's some shit going on, but they stopped letting fans come to the game.
Speaker 2Oh, infrastructure, yeah, but depending on the country, literally depending on the country and where you're at. sometimes it's a lot of fans, Sometimes it's no fans. So you could be in a country and you're playing games and it's like a scrimmage because there's 12 people in there.
Speaker 4Oh, like you're playing in the bubble. Like you're playing in the bubble, yeah, swear to God.
Speaker 2So France we packed out, Orini packed out. But that was my team. I was in the Euro Cup League So we had like a lot of fans, Small city fans, come Israel. You're not getting like that. You can maybe one or two teams have like decent fans, but it's not. It's never packed out.
Speaker 4Hey, I heard if you take a wrong turn in Israel, it's bad news. Is that true?
Speaker 2It depends where you are and if they shooting rockets, that's what.
Speaker 4I'm saying They didn't fucking like We should literally yo, what was that?
Speaker 2Four years ago I left like three days before they was. They was at war and my homegirls was there. They had to go into the bunker.
Speaker 3Yeah, I bet They were shooting. That was rockets Yeah.
Speaker 1So, so, so, shay, so with that, so, on that note, on that note what you put the weed in your bag.
Speaker 3What.
Speaker 2Oh my God, that's what he's saying.
Speaker 3Where'd you put the weed in your bag?
Speaker 2Would I.
Speaker 3Yes.
Speaker 2Put the weed in my bag.
Speaker 4You talking about.
Speaker 2Brittany, i know what he's talking about, she know, she know I'm not doing all that And I'm going to plead the fifth because I don't know what y'all talking about. I don't know what y'all talking about. Wee, wee.
Speaker 1I ain't bringing shit to. I'm on stay side.
Speaker 2I ain't going to lie. I could tell y'all, but it got to be all camera. I ain't going to tell y'all, right now.
Speaker 3No, i'm going to put that kind of pressure on you.
Speaker 4Hey, that thing be right between the booty cheeks.
Speaker 2No, i've never personally like brought anything though. No, absolutely not. I'll be scared. I ain't going to lie, i'm scared.
Speaker 3I ain't going to raise you Like if it was between his booty cheeks that'd be a whole pound. That'd be a pound Like I could move some weight in them, booty cheeks Bro.
Speaker 1I'm going to put a quarter key.
Speaker 4What Hey? I'll be pushing weight.
Speaker 1I'm pushing weight in them cheeks bro, and that would be a perfect little mule.
Speaker 3That boy be a Clis deal.
Speaker 4How does it look?
Speaker 3there. Well on that, on that I want to get your thoughts about.
Speaker 1I'm wasting the Clis deal, oh For For.
Speaker 4The funny part about his Clis deal is booty cheeks, don't even touch.
Speaker 3I'll start. I'll start. Sorry, oh man, i was going to ask you.
Speaker 4Oh shit killer, You got my stuff.
Speaker 3That was a tough job. Oh So. I'd have to wait for Ed Heiser, but I'll swear we're going to get to the point, Oh shit.
Speaker 4Oh shit, i promise, oh God, all right.
Speaker 3In all seriousness this is another ladies part of, because I'm glad you're on, but we got a lot of ladies in the audience I want to get your opinion about women's sports and support as far as equal pay when it comes to your salary. So I think with the WNBA Let's let me ask you this What do you think there are ways that people can support in order to make sure that women don't have to go overseas, be able to play at home in order to make a living for themselves without working extra jobs, etc. Like, how do you feel about that And what do you think we can do?
Speaker 2Who is we? What do you mean by?
Speaker 3I'm seeing like just we as the American people as the people as the people as the go to the games and pay.
Speaker 2Yeah, i mean I?
Speaker 3as simple as that, Honestly, we have to expand.
Speaker 2Wnba has to expand. How many teams are there?
Speaker 312 teams 144 girls.
Speaker 2Are you kidding me? Yeah, that's crazy Okay 12 spots per team And sometimes they don't even feel the roster It'd be 11, 10. Wow.
Speaker 3So do you think that is on ownership or the way the games play?
Speaker 4I think it has to do with society. I'm out of shape. Yeah, my bad, yep.
Speaker 2We're going to interview you, buddy, we got you Hey what you want to say, clive'sdale.
Speaker 1Clive'sdale. It's going to be that Clive'sdale over there.
Speaker 3I was saying as far as how we can expand the game and bring money to it. Okay, so do you think it's the responsibility? of course it's responsibility or ownership in the WNBA, but do you think it starts with investing first or do you think it's the talent and the way the games play?
Speaker 2No, it's not the talent, absolutely not, because look at college. Look how many people go to college games.
Speaker 3Yes, okay, talk about it, and it's like we packed out What you mean.
Speaker 2It's like 2,000 people in a whoever.
Speaker 1Right.
Speaker 2But college games be packed. So why are you telling me we, coming from college, the arena's packed.
Speaker 3You ready.
Speaker 2We go to WNBA 500 people, because none of them girls from college went to the WNBA, but maybe one. Those people aren't following. They're not following, they're not going like oh, we need to, and also there's no WNBA team in their college town.
Speaker 4Or even in proximity. It's really hard In proximity.
Speaker 2They're like well, where do we watch? Can we go to a game? No, you got to watch five states. You got to fly across the country just to go to a game, to watch the girl that you watched for four years in college.
Speaker 3Got it, got it.
Speaker 2And then also, maybe only one of them made it to the WNBA. Because there's no space, because we haven't expanded. Yeah, that's a really good point, that is.
Speaker 4And so Reese, and I'm sorry, what's the other girl's name from LSU? Which one The freshman?
Speaker 2Float Yeah, float, float Yeah.
Speaker 4So it's very clear they changed the game 100%. And I was watching the Pivot podcast and they were on there and they were like hey, so you know what about the WNBA? And they were like yo, they were like nope, nil.
Speaker 2Hello, thank you, they are getting NIL loaded. All would have stayed in college.
Speaker 4A hundred years, No they said they said they'll make more money in NIL money than they would in WNBA By far.
Speaker 3By far. That's crazy. That's crazy.
Speaker 1They were like we ain't even tripping And no girl, right Yeah.
Speaker 4And she blew up because of that right. So it's so interesting the dynamic on like how NIL plays into women's professional sports Because, like a dude would be like, oh, i'm a junior, i'm out, i'm going to the league.
Speaker 2I'm going to the league And they're like crazy money, Absolutely.
Speaker 4And then Reese is like look. I'm saying at this point in time she was getting pride about let's call it two mil NIL money. It's ass backwards.
Speaker 1Yeah, It's ass backwards for us. This podcast Literally ass backwards.
Speaker 2Oh I'm going to stay in college because I'm making two mil. I go to WNBA. I'm going to make $45,000.
Speaker 3Minimum. Like what? That's crazy. I'm going to make what?
Speaker 2It's just a pen. Do y'all want to know my salary for my rookie season?
Speaker 3Let's hear it Hell. No, i was out here playing for free.
Speaker 2It wasn't shit. It wasn't shit Yeah.
Speaker 1I got, so let me ask you this. So we had this conversation.
Speaker 4We can look up your salary. by the way, Yeah.
Speaker 2I don't know if you can. Really I don't think, i don't.
Speaker 3I tried to. I was pocket watching.
Speaker 2I was like how much you make? They put my shit up there because y'all know I got cut and then they brought me back.
Speaker 3They did Yeah, yeah, in 2015.
Speaker 2Yeah, they brought me back, so I don't think my shit was like Got it Labeled. That's cool. My bad thoughts.
Speaker 1We're on the stage of this podcast, right? We had this conversation in terms of what would expand and what would make males lock into the WNBA or women's basketball, right, and we talked about Lori Narell.
Speaker 4We talked about making And that was a woman who said that. By the way, it was a woman who said Yes, yes And the girl who's?
Speaker 1not, yes, she played. Grace played basketball Overland. You know what she did? So Grace played basketball. She said you know it's a simple fix As a woman, if they shrunk the court and lowered the basket, they lowered the rims. People would come, because people want to see the alley-oops, People want to see women win milling. So how do you feel about that?
Speaker 2I'm mixed. I'm mixed with it.
Speaker 1Okay, let's talk about it.
Speaker 2I get it, but it's okay, we lowered the rims. Say we lowered the rims.
Speaker 3Right.
Speaker 2Did you expand Or you still got 12 teams? I don't know.
Speaker 4I think so. To her point, she said it brings more excitement.
Speaker 2That's a good point.
Speaker 4Excitement leads to more engagement, which leads to expansion.
Speaker 2Yes, okay, i get that, but all right, load of rims, i still. I just feel like men don't watch women's basketball, i agree.
Speaker 3Okay, i was waiting for that. I was waiting for that.
Speaker 2I'm not going to say all men. I'm going to say much more.
Speaker 3Why ain't women watching women's basketball?
Speaker 2Can I be honest? I really think that.
Speaker 3Because women drive a lot, they own a lot of economy. As far as what pushes the envelope Like fashion, That's a fact.
Speaker 1That's a fact.
Speaker 3They turn to television. But you know music, things like that, Like why aren't the women going to see women?
Speaker 2play. Can I tell you why? Yes, because women like niggas.
Speaker 3What do we say? Think about it.
Speaker 2You think things on the internet. Think about you think they go into a game to watch a bunch of girls. They're not going.
Speaker 3Do y'all watch Serena play?
Speaker 2Absolutely 100%.
Speaker 3But I'm not saying it's not.
Speaker 2I'm just saying it's a bigger percentage. The percentage is bigger.
Speaker 3So do you think more women watch Serena or men watch Serena?
Speaker 2As far as women's tennis That's a good question. Women's tennis Who watches Serena more?
Speaker 3No, who watches women's tennis? more Women or men?
Speaker 2Men I don't think men, Oh yeah, Men 100%.
Speaker 3You think so? I don't think so Absolutely.
Speaker 2You don't think so. Can you Google this Siri?
Speaker 3I'll Google it. I just don't think so That was on the fact, but I don't think so.
Speaker 2Can one of y'all Google that? Yes, somebody Google that.
Speaker 3But I mean, while that's happening, I think.
Speaker 2Who watches Serena more, men or women?
Speaker 3Who watches women's tennis? I don't watch Serena Women's tennis Because men do watch Serena more than women. That's what I'm saying. Serena they don't watch.
Speaker 1Offer the wrong reasons though. Well that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3But they don't even matter. It doesn't matter. Why do you think they're tuning in though Co?
Speaker 2They're tuning in Women's tennis Bam.
Speaker 3This year More people watch that Because okay, what was they doing, though? What did they let us?
Speaker 2do They let us chirp?
Speaker 3That's true, they don't let us chirp.
Speaker 2And my thing is this, and this is what I hated we use I used to talk so much shit on the court, but we didn't have social media.
Speaker 3Talk to them. See, they all use talking. I used to be asked God to try to dunk.
Speaker 2Hello, but did y'all know? No, because I'm not on social media. We didn't have that shit, so think about it. The day and age is different.
Speaker 4No wait, you had it, We didn't have it.
Speaker 2No. I'm in a generation where it was like not, and then it was. So, like I'm in between. So, when I was growing up, we still had the little flip phones, the Razors and shit. We not recording shit in the gym, you know what I mean? So we didn't have that, we didn't have the Instagram, we just had my space.
Speaker 1So, shay, if we could come down and windmill that.
Speaker 2I'm dunking on everybody.
Speaker 1Well, let's talk about. I'm talking about you could come down and just do some LeBron shit.
Speaker 3Well, there ain't no one to do that. No, no.
Speaker 1If they lowered the rims.
Speaker 3Even if they lowered the rim? I don't think that would happen. But let's talk about what happened. You think it will If they.
Speaker 2I'm not gonna lie, our rims are like eight feet. I'm trying to dunk every time down the court. Well, i mean, that's a different game, though, but also, I don't know if that's still gonna bring the awareness or the expansion.
Speaker 3Yes, so I like what Jazz is saying, because with NCAA this year, with LSU and Iowa State, Iowa, iowa. Let's talk about the dynamics of that entire thing. Right, that was like? First of all, it was like bird and magic as far as white versus black. White hope, you know, trying to beat LSU. You got Angel Reese, you got Kate. What's the? I forget the white girls name is.
Speaker 4She can ball Caitlin, caitlin.
Speaker 3But you have a story and you have the drama there that people want to tune into like the casual fan. If they're not watching for basketball, they're gonna watch LeBron and them. But if you have a story, then that's how you get people in the seats, that's how you get the ratings and things like that, and I think that goes to your point that I wasn't even thinking about. Yeah, expand, invest in these girls that are in the NCAA, pick them up, draft them. People are gonna follow them. Just like the NBA right, just like yeah.
Speaker 2There's such a huge following of women in college. Yeah, but there's no WMA team teams in these college towns. So, Minnesota, minnesota links. Minnesota links have like one of the top maybe two fans because It's in the same city, Absolutely.
Speaker 4Yeah, you know I mean. so What I think about, like with the, with the college game. You know there was a ton of respect between those two girls too, Oh no absolutely. I'm not trying to say No, yeah, no it was a ton of respect, but They were balling too. I think that's. That's the big difference, like Iowa was balling and LSU was balling to see this come to a head. Like South Carolina got put out. They were the they were the name was the favorite.
Speaker 2That's what.
Speaker 4I'm saying It's really like who's LSU, who's Iowa? And then these two girls clash like the best of the best, like I think that's what part of the hype was too, and then the shit talking came Like when it came to a head. you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3Absolutely.
Speaker 4And that's what he made it even more exciting, Man. So what's?
Speaker 1crazy. So what's so? shade You As an athlete, right, because guys don't really have to do this. Do you feel a pressure to be sexy in order to be marketable? I Think that's personally.
Speaker 2Are you asking me personally?
Speaker 1No, no, personally, like honestly, personally Do I have?
Speaker 2to know I Mean, i mean what you mean. In which market man? No, because they were overseas. Both, both Yeah, do I feel a pressure to be sexy, to be marketable.
Speaker 1Yeah, because you know, like in hip hop you can be a pure, you can be a dope ass lyricist as a female, but at some point you hit you need an image. You need an image and you know sex sales.
Speaker 1Right and so do you feel as an athlete? They say like yo, i might have to put on X, y and Z in order to get the type of exposure that I want to get. Or Can I just be a straight hooper and just live off my Physical talents as a basketball player rather than what I look on the exterior?
Speaker 3Yeah, and let's be real.
Speaker 4So the question is are you wearing booty shorts in Italy? I?
Speaker 2Mean, i think. I wear nothing in Italy so listen, i think this day in age has, like back in the day, we didn't give up In our day, matter in our day, let it go.
Speaker 1No, no, just real quick in our day. No, like the perception of bad of women in basketball different from now 100%.
Speaker 2Now it's like yeah, you like, let me get the small. I need small shorts.
Speaker 4I need I need a small shirt.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Overseas is not even like okay, they're gonna put us on the little poster or shit, but Overseas is like marketable. Wba is more so, more so, absolutely. Even from when I was a rookie till like now, you see girls like Yes, i hundred fucking percent so I gotta.
Speaker 3That's why I bring it back to tennis. So if you talk about tennis, i'm looking at the ladies to tennis volleyball. I Don't know any others, but There is a sexy aspect to it. Like there's tennis players that aren't even good. I mean they're good because everybody at that level is good, but some get more notoriety off of being a model then they actually do on their play.
Speaker 2Social media Yeah, what do you think change everything? social media How you look Oh she damn, she fine, so we gonna follow her. She could be trash Yeah, let's talk about it. How many WBA girls is because of their image or whatever? Somebody might come in and be a doll, but they're not gonna market her and they're not gonna keep her because she's not marketable the sex appeal right The sex appeal or whatever is gonna bring fans, we're gonna keep her.
Speaker 2Because she's marketable, because she looks good, the men like her. We got to keep her.
Speaker 3That reminds me of the girl that's Australian, like six, five Oh. Yeah, I think she got a only fans. Now to Elizabeth came. Yeah, there you go, like I'll be looking for I don't know her game.
Speaker 2She left the league for a couple years, i think last. She was in Israel last year. But she didn't play in the league after Vegas Because the league is they gotta get her back then very political y'all really, and that's why people keep asking me, like why You go back to the league. I ain't got some, i ain't.
Speaker 3I don't get down like that, yeah so then if the league does start to do that, let's say they start wearing the volleyball shorts. That's not gonna happen, why not?
Speaker 2because how many studs are in the league? Let's talk about it. They're not wearing booty shorts, and they're not, and that is my homegirls, and they'll, and they'll say the same shit We're not putting on no booty shorts.
Speaker 3Just not doing it.
Speaker 2I'm who I am and y'all not finna disrespect me and make me wear No booty shorts. I'm not mad at that and that's cool and they stand on that, but but also at the same time, on the other hand, that's why a lot of men don't watch, and I think that's why a lot of me.
Speaker 1Don't watch, and that's what I'm saying. Shay, that's an ill position of being as an athlete, 100% for a person like you that says look, my why is because I just wanted to hoop. And and now I'm in a position where I'm at a professional level where I can make money, where I can actually feed my family and take care of Myself. But I'm in this vicarious position of being sexy But then also being able to hoop right. But then if I'm a sexy and I'm below average hooper, i can have a long-lasting career in the league because I'm visible.
Speaker 4Because I'm visible.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's. That has to be a very tough space to sit in because, like as a male, i could say you know what I Could be like Kobe, that's one hoop, i'm gonna fuck. I'm gonna fuck about being sexy, i don't care about being marketable. Right my game can speak for me, and then what the media would say is he's just driven.
Speaker 3He don't get that. He just like dog.
Speaker 1He's just a nasty, he just, he just cares so much, he just cares so much about basketball right Like take yourself like.
Dating Challenges for Professional Basketball Players
Speaker 3You got the tight booty shorts on this like riding up Like you could have been like a regular potter, but she was like nah, i gotta come in here show my meat. All right, shay, we're gonna play a game real quick, called this or that. That. You ready for that? So, co, you want to explain the?
Speaker 1rules, hey, so you know it's no right or wrong answer, but no, but you can't give no context. Every once in a while, we, you know, we let it slide a little bit, you know, i mean, but it's no consequences, though, it's not like we're gonna be, you put a pie in your face or drink anything But but you know just for shits and giggles, no context.
Speaker 2All right, here we go.
Speaker 4This and you have the option to pass. you do have a option to pass.
Speaker 3Yes, All right this or that. Here we go, fairfax or the Holly Holly Congress Park or city park city. All right. You can at least have silverman silverman, there you go, the crown market. Nobody's picking a Congress Park. I was thinking. At least I don't know where y'all hang out at East.
Speaker 2You should have said something else Quebec Park something. Got a fuller park, anything but Congress.
Speaker 1Ponytails are hella short. All right, here we go.
Speaker 3Italy or Egypt. Okay, deanna Tarrasi or Tamika Ketchings.
Speaker 1It's a time of the goats.
Speaker 2Whoa, whoa, whoa pass, absolutely pass really okay, they both go. okay, i never choose it.
Speaker 3Mya Moore or Cynthia Cooper. I'm sorry, cynthia Cooper Houston comments.
Speaker 2I know, i know who Cynthia Cooper is she? she coached me before Vegas joint. But um Can I give, I can't get.
Speaker 3No no, no context.
Speaker 2Gotta go it, my it cuz I, that's my teammate.
Speaker 3Okay, okay I figured. I said, i said that scoring ability or elite playmaking skills.
Speaker 2That's the same thing. Talk to them, okay, you scoring ability or playmaking skills is the same.
Speaker 3Well, i think, like, would you rather assist, like, would you rather be yokas or you trying to be? give me a killer out there, booker.
Speaker 2Hmm, so that's something to hold really different.
Speaker 3Okay, so score or assist, Yeah, yeah, which one you going with?
Speaker 2score score.
Speaker 3All right, three ball or Duncan.
Speaker 2Don't gotta catch a body.
Speaker 1Because body a for real.
Speaker 3All right, here we go Old Dominion or Minnesota.
Speaker 4Thanks drink, thanks drink.
Speaker 2Then I'm gonna throw a big one in here Minnesota.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2That's so hard, because, oh, do you, i can't give no context. You're here for it, like have that same ready like I am ready, so I'm passing.
Speaker 3But you a score, you assisted now what you mean.
Speaker 2Don't play me. Look my stats up now. All right, I'm a buggy.
Speaker 3Dang, i'm gonna put you on the spot. You got one. Why don't you go first?
Speaker 4Don Staley or Kim Moki.
Speaker 2Mmm Don Don, alright, i mess with them.
Speaker 3We gonna see where your legions lie. This is some real stuff right here. Denise Simone, or big Bailey? Oh No, big, big, my sister. That's it on every day of the week and twice on Sundays them as locals, them as local R&B singers and yeah, then they were going with you. Thank you for playing. Absolutely What do you have? one co.
Speaker 4Great hot seat, All right so she'd be allowed to give context now.
Speaker 3Yeah, why don't you give some context on something? let the old Dominion and Minnesota, yeah.
Speaker 2So Odu was so shout out to Adrian Gussin. The only reason I went to Odu, she played in the W&B. She's literally like a mentor. To me. Odu was like I Don't know how to explain it, but that's like wearing my career ticket turn. But it was like, oh, she's been major, she can't do this, she can't do that. Da, da, da, da. Then somebody famous hated on me. We ain't gonna get in the names. Actually, yes, we are Nancy Lieberman. What's good? You hate it on me because I left Odu and that's fine and I'm still doing it. I'm going into year nine. I got a ship, i got a WMA championship, i got a Egypt championship, i got scoring titles.
Speaker 2I'm a walkie-buckie, talky shit. My journey, my journey has been I've always been like the underdog She can't shoot, she can't do this, she can't. I've always heard she can't yeah right She's this, but she can't do this. She's this, but she can't. Oh, we don't want her cuz she can't Okay.
Speaker 4Fucking thing else.
Speaker 2So what are we talking about? We really talking about you want to shoot her, you want to score, you want somebody who do everything, or you want shorty Standing in the corner and shoot a three. But if I'm daughter she's not getting that shit off.
Speaker 3Hey, we gonna clip that up.
Speaker 4I was a dark horse too.
Speaker 3I knew you was gonna say that. Oh, they know he's trying to step on what you just did.
Speaker 4No, i was a dark horse to, i was underdog.
Speaker 3You were a mid major.
Speaker 2Yeah, I wouldn't even admit major I was major and then I went pro and I did too.
Speaker 3You played overseas in a couple weeks two weeks on the practice squad.
Speaker 2And everybody's journey is different. I embrace my journey, i love my journey and I wouldn't be anything without my job And I respect that's what I was saying right on, yeah man.
Speaker 1So shame I gotta. I just gotta ask shade this man Cuz? I remember one time I was in Houston.
Speaker 2Shout out to who's all this is out there.
Speaker 4Hey, she got that energy out. I'm back home.
Speaker 1Hey, hey, hey, but I'm in Windsor, caught around now. Let's not talk about I'm inside, y'all, please. And Yo, this was that. This was Candice Parker at her height, right and this shout out the canis goat. Yo, and I think it's the first time I ever seen dudes like being like groupies 100% so here's my, here's my question. So how does a guy approach a perfect uh when woman professional basketball?
Speaker 2well, first of all, you don't start off with saying I want to play you One-on-one.
Speaker 4Okay, okay, and that's probably what I would do.
Speaker 2What's the worst, what's the worst line you heard bet you can't beat me one-on-one every day of my life.
Speaker 4See, i would say, I can post you up. That's what I was saying.
Speaker 2I hate that as well. That's the top two.
Speaker 1What if you said post me up that's top three.
Speaker 3They be trying to have loving basketball with you all day.
Speaker 2Huh You'd be like three tequila's in at the club, somebody coming to you like, oh you, whoop huh, you're right, i cannot in this club right now.
Speaker 4I cannot post you and I don't want you up. Hey, I'll be like, will you please post me up?
Speaker 2So, But so what is is is dating hard for you dating is very hard for me, so, oh, we talk about dating talk about it.
Speaker 3Is it a height requirement? I mean let's get to this.
Speaker 2It's hard to date because I'm always going so Let's talk about it. I wasn't a relationship for like eight years and like he was overseas with me back and forth, but it just didn't work out. But now, like dating is so it's so hard because it's like, okay, you're home, say I'm dating somebody, say I'm talking to somebody, endeavor. Yeah it's hard because it's like oh you finna leave Okay.
Speaker 3What if you say I'm going, but now I'm?
Speaker 2at. I'm like at the end of my career. I think personally because my knees hurt right now. But uh, It's just like you're gonna be gone for eight months and I might come home once during those eight months. So it's just like Niggas ain't going for that. I need my girl with me, you know what if you come out there with you?
Speaker 3What if we follow you?
Speaker 2I would love that, but every who really where yet?
Speaker 3Where yet, Oh yeah, I got you.
Speaker 2I'm with you regardless and that's cool. You know I mean so, someone who understands my life so and understands that's not gonna last forever. Yeah, so dating is very difficult, and it's difficult even when you're overseas, like I've tried dating guys that have been overseas with me.
Speaker 1So you're in it for a short time, not a long time what basketball? no, but you just said is he has to understand it's not gonna last forever, oh. Oh so you've been overseas, or the situation that's gonna last forever.
Speaker 2Yeah me being overseas long distance, and every long distance isn't for everybody.
Speaker 1I'm not saying you're sad, i'm not saying you're a savage. I thought you was going there telling them like look, i'm here for a short time.
Speaker 2You know this everybody's not built for long distance relationship you know what I mean. So it's just like it's hard for me to find someone who was like I Fuck with you enough to like yeah, especially meeting them in a short time, right, but you have for me, like my mental is, like I can do it because I've been doing it, but for them, they don't know that lifestyle, they don't understand my lifestyle. Wow.
Speaker 2And they don't understand, i'm gonna be going, i'm gonna be back, but I also get your fucking passport so you could come see me.
Speaker 4Yeah, real talk and get your paper Right. Get your paper right get your passport right.
Speaker 2Come see me and we Gucci. Yeah so I'm too over that shit Flying who out.
Speaker 4Can't get flew down.
Speaker 2I'm not flying on nigga nowhere, Okay okay.
Speaker 4Go ahead.
Speaker 1Okay, go ahead. So you talked about lady athlete say flew you old, feeling old.
Speaker 4We had this conversation last week. Can you get out that chair with no momentum?
Speaker 2What you mean by that. You like yeah, you can't rock.
Speaker 4We had this conversation last week and it's like watch demo Yeah we all gonna get up.
Speaker 3That's why Tisha got Tisha. I know you're trying to work with him.
Speaker 2That's all we were talking about it because I'm not gonna lie, i hope this morning in my my left knee right now hurts right now.
Speaker 4Yes, so can you get about that chair without swinging your arm? No no, you ain't you a guest?
Speaker 3No we're all just messing real, real quick and then demo has another question.
Speaker 3I'm gonna get provocative again because I gotta do my homework and I would love a woman's opinion on this, because Gender fluidity and women coming in sport are Transgender females coming into women's sports? Okay, i'm curious. Like You don't have to answer this, we can time stamp this. If you're uncomfortable with it, just let me know. But what is what are your thoughts on Somebody that was born a man, then becomes a woman coming into a sport? They say, no, we'll eat out alone. No, we know we can leave alone.
Speaker 3We don't talk about this time stamp.
Speaker 2I have friends.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 2We're gonna talk about it. I think that personally, for someone to come into the women's sports or whatever, like you're still stronger than us, like I get you can take hormones and things like that and and like I just feel like. So let's give an example of a Homegirl that was swimming, mm-hmm. Yeah and then came in like one metals, and you know I mean crushed it.
Speaker 2Yeah, kill, killed everybody, kill the competition, and I just think that There is still some sort of advantage. Okay, regardless, and there's no disrespect and there's no like. I respect who you are and who you. You know I mean.
Speaker 4Who are the?
Speaker 2human being and I respect all of that. But when it comes to competitiveness, if we, i Can't. You can't take away your strength, you can't just take that away.
Speaker 4Yes, I don't know.
Speaker 2I don't understand the hormone and the the things that they do, but You can't take away that and you're you can still jump higher than me. Yeah, you can still, you're still stronger than me on any given day and they don't need the rim lowered. And they don't need the rim lower. Yeah but we haven't had anyone, and I'm thinking basketball, i don't know, have you guys heard it?
Speaker 2I don't think I have not yet but, um, i know they've been trying to like make rules and different things like that, but me as a competitor is just like Okay, if she's busting my ass, i'm gonna be a little upset. No, absolutely cuz she just dumped on me.
Speaker 3Talked on you know I mean.
Speaker 2So that's the thing. I just think that there's I Don't know the fine line, you know, and how to handle all that, but I think that as a competitor, just as an athlete, i Think that I would be kind of like, alright, like I'm a compete, but if shorties, this is like busting my ass, like You know what I mean.
Speaker 3No I winning everything.
Speaker 2Is this like well? what are we supposed to do?
Speaker 3No, I agree cuz I. I have a daughter.
Speaker 2I can do everything, but there's just certain things, like physically, you know.
Speaker 3I have a daughter that plays and I I feel that same way that test oscarone, but scientifically proven that it makes you stronger, recover faster all those kind of things and it's like If your levels are higher, no matter if you're taking hormones or whatever, they're still an advantage, right? That's why PEDs like that's an advantage. Yeah, like that's why they banned and that's my thing.
Speaker 2It's like if you're taking drugs. They don't let you like.
Speaker 4Mary Jones.
Speaker 3Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2So they disqualify her and took her shit away. So it's just like I don't know.
Speaker 3I got you. It's just a tricky. It's just a tricky situation. Your publicist is saying we got to wrap things up. She's like yeah.
Speaker 2I got something to do.
Speaker 4And that that leads. So there's one, one question I always like to ask. But Uh, danielle wanted you to know that she's an aspiring basketball player. She just wanted you to know that, so be sure to give her a hug afterwards.
Speaker 2You gonna be get an autograph. Everybody in this room.
Speaker 4How tall are you See, i'm a little giant.
Speaker 2All right we'll see you later. She's gonna be a shooting guard. I can see it.
