The area stretching from Trompsburg to Griekwastad to Kimberley and beyond encompasses the South African diamond fields - the Gariep (Orange) River is joined by the Vaal River, and is an area incredibly rich in history. Diamonds are discovered in Hopetown, Adam Kok treks away, major battles are fought between Brit and Boer, and Kimberley is developed. And of course there is Orania..........
