The Way is a podcast fully committed to the solid, straight forward, uncompromising, Spirit filled teaching of God’s Word. We know that we are living in a dark and evil time. According to the scriptures, we are living in the last days before the return of Jesus. Therefore, to live a victorious life in Christ regardless of the rising evil all around us, we must know God’s word thoroughly and obey it completely regardless of cost of consequence. Our desire through this podcast is that God would give every listener an ear to hear, a heart to receive and a will to obey. May all the teaching of God’s Word through this podcast be solid and Spirit filled. May all who listen be strengthened and built up in the body of Christ. May we all live fully to the glory of God until Jesus calls us home. Maranatha

Paul now transitions into exhortations for living the Christian life. He begins by exhorting them to rejoice, a theme that runs throughout this book. Interestingly, Paul is encouraging them to rejoice despite his circumstance being far worse than theirs.

Paul begins by reminding them of the basic doctrines of scripture. He lets the Philippians know that these continuous reminders do not bother him at all. In fact, Paul loves to do it because it offers the Philippians safety from false teachers.

Paul also lists out three characteristics of the true believer. First, they worship God in Spirit. Secondly, the rejoice always in Jesus. And finally, they have no confidence in the flesh.

The key to living out these three characteristics is to hear God's word, know God's word and to live in obedience to God's word, regardless of cost or consequence.
